DH's own Tower of Terror!!!

Hi everyone! I've been pretty much a lurker on the CB but when DH ever emailed me this morning, I HAD to share this with you all.

so there's no need to go to disney ever again. we have our own little Tower of Terror right here in new haven. the coliseum elevator broke with me in it this morning. It dropped the 12 feet between B and A levels in three sequential 4 foot drops. I imagine that my face was pretty white when I got off at A level and suggested that the people waiting take the stairs. hey, it's good to know that those brakes work!

If anyone's from CT, you know they're going to be tearing down the Coliseum soon. THANK GOODNESS!!!!! Can you IMAGINE?! I would have been absolutely terrified!

And I must say, little does he know, just because he had his own little private ride in a tower of terror does NOT mean we'll never be going back to Disney. Hee hee.

And people wonder why I tend to take the stairs by default?

My DH also fell about 4' in an elevator once and ended up stuck for a half hour. Needless to say, I never took *that* particular set of elevators again!

Glad your DH is okay, if a bit shaken up.

I still can't believe it. Of course, he said his first thought was "Oh great. Now I'm going to have to sit here and wait for the fire department. I have THINGS to do!" Typical. I would have peed my pants in panic!!!

He's still not home from work... he darn well better have taken the stairs on his way out of work!!!!!!

YIKES glad he was not hurt!
They'd have had to scoop me off the floor and sedate me I think!
I HATE elevators.
And every time I go to WDW I am talked into doing ToT and every time I say NEVER again ...til the next time
