How many out there have been notified by Deputy Mickey that there signitures were outside the guidlines???? Lucky mine was only I had to many lines of text....I had about 11 and the limit was 8....

Anybody else had to modify there signiture because Deputy Mickey asked you to... and what was your "Crime"

My crime was that my picture was over the byte limit.

I just figured out how to resize my pictures for the previous byte limit a few weeks ago and now I have to learn again.
I am convinced that this new clipart guideline is just a way to encourage graphical computer literacy!

Does anyone else smell a conspiracy?

i got caught. i got rid of quiz thing and it was still 10 so i had to delete my poem too. i guess it was time for a change but i've had the same signature for a few months now. did the guidelines for sig size recently change or is deputy mickey on a power craze the past week? maybe he got in trouble with the sheriff.

how exactly do the count lines? i mean wouldn't a picture or countdown clock take up more room then words? if you look at most people's sigs and count them they are more than 8 lines. how do they or deputy mickey figure out when it is too much?

I didn't get busted by Deputy Mikey, but I did get busted by WillyJ --- three times! All three times were because my clipart was over the byte limit.

Line count is done using a screen resolution of 800 x 600 from a post (not a PM) and with an IE maximized window.

Text from a countdown isn't considered in the 8 count.
Text in an image is also not considered.
All other text counts.

Okay just because I like being a pain I have a question...

If I don't have a picture in my siggy why can't I have more text? Some ppl have a picture, then the text and a countdown timer. I understand as long as it fits in that square it's ok, but if I don't have all that other stuff why can't I have two or three more lines of text?

I have complied with the good deputy but I DO like to question authority.

Why don't you just save your 50 line signature in a little text file on your machine. Then copy and paste it in the content of every one of your posts!
