December Exercise Challenge! HoHoHo! No Santa wannabes here! Keep moving!

Yes Rose. The first 20 and farthest I've run so far. I now feel ready to tackle the marathon at Disney it will be slow but I just want to finish and earn my medal. :)
That's awesome! Those warm temps that you have been running in will actually help you if it is anything like last year, and if it is cooler, then you will feel great, because you are used to the warmer weather! Very exciting!

Thanks. You are such an encourager. :)

30 min walk last night and 30 min walk this morning
903/1700. Thanks :)

Got in an hour at the gym, even though it's been snowing & was kind of hazardous out there

380/800

1030/1700

Haven't done anything today (I'm still in my jammies sipping tea), but will do my planks and something later.

The weather is back to normal (as one walking partner says "45 for a low, 45 for a high and rain)! Monday my early group didn't walk because of ice, but my later group did. Easier to see slick spots when the sun is up!

Today DS2 is 17. Poor baby has to be in a parade tonight so his whole afternoon/evening/night is lost to that. Plus his brother in college has to work so won't be home. Feels a bit weird. But they are definitely growing up!

Tea is gone so time to get something done around here.

Have a great weekend, DISers. Stay active! :bounce:

Good for you, MrsAR! My motivation continues to be that darn 13.1 sticker!!!

Completed my longest distance today, 11.3 miles. Race is on 12/31 - I too feel confident that I can finish upright. Time is not the issue, just completing and not getting injured in training or that day are my goals. :cool1:

Keep it up everyone. Busy month, but staying active helps keep the stress in check.

Thanks for keeping us on track, Rose!

532/1500

I am doing horrible with exercise this month :(
I am only adding 51 minutes treadmill and 10 minutes of abs. I missed 2 days of the plank challenge this week as well. I guess I better get it together!

175/900

Plank challenge 12/14 total (5/7 this week).

Thanks!

I forgot....

4/7 planks this week (8/14 for the month)

Plus, took the pooch for a short walk this afternoon... 542/1500

12/7 20 mins - upper body
12/8 60 mins - warm up, Jingle Bell 5K, stretch
12/11 60 mins - spin
12/14 270 mins - obstacle training, spin class, boot camp, cardio boxing, "butts & guts" class

DD and I before the annual Jingle Bell Run in Portland, OR last weekend. Brrrr! 17º at race start! We had oven mitts on both hands over our gloves. ;)

You're going to rock this race. :)

100 min run this morning
1008/1700

apparently I lose the ability to type and spell when I type these in post-workout, based on my last post.

geez.

38 minutes

325/1000

oh, and I forgot to post yesterday that I was 7/7 with the "20" planks.

12/11 65 min run
12/12 65 min run
30 min ride on the bike trainer
12/13 20 min run
12/14 60 min ride on the bike trainer
40 min warm-up and 5k Ugly Sweater Race-sloshing thru huge puddles and rain, but set a PR for this distance! Super excited!:yay:
12/15 105 min ride on the bike trainer

Oh boy. I manage to squeeze in 20 min upper body and core yesterday and 45 min of cardio tonight for a total of

475/1500 for the month so far.

I missed my planned run yesterday so I'm going to have to really bust my butt to make my goal. I just couldn't do it. Sometimes no matter how hard you try, it just doesn't all fit into the day. Sigh.

Saturday -12/14 - 240 minutes

On Saturday, we walked around EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom all day and past midnight. I am guestimating 4 hours of walking in our 12 hours of being out (we only did 2 rides - Soarin' and Tomorrowland Transit Authority - 2 meals, and the Candlelight Processional. All of the rest of the time was spent walking (except the bus ride from MK to Beach Club).

Sunday - 60 minutes of traversing Downtown Disney

Monday 12/16 - 20 mins elliptical and 45 mins personal training (TRX) with Killer Kyle

New total 590/1300

Ok, so after being snowed in this weekend I got in an hour at the gym

440/800

Oh my, I started out great, but snow, Christmas stuff, and MD appointments kept me away from the gym this week.

Only adding 30 minutes since last posting.

210/1250 :confused3

My motivation continues to be that darn 13.1 sticker!!!

The stickers are a big motivation for me also. I bought my sticker at the expo when I picked up my race number! I did see something really awesome after I finished my half on Thanksgiving day. I was at my car changing my shoes after my race, and a man walked to the car next to mine, unlocked his door grab something off his dash and walked around to the back of his car and slapped the 13.1 sticker to his back windshield. I could not help, but clap and tell him congrats! It is an indescribable feeling and you will do an amazing job! Good Luck!:thumbsup2

Feeling like after a slow start, I'm finding my stride. I may not make my time goal but my mental-state is happy that I'm working-out more.

Strength training and rowing.

46 minutes

I SO want one of those stickers. I've been off for a few days due to foot pain. I have an appointment with the orthopedic tomorrow to get it checked out. I NEVER would have thought that I'd say I missed running, but I'm about to go crazy :(.
