December 2005 Info, Code, Dining, & Special Package Watch! :)

We have never gotten the flu shot and I doubt any of us ever will. We supplement pretty well and it's rare that we get much of anything. It just happens that my dd's entire cheerleading squad has started to pass around this stomach thing. I've read a lot of nasty things about flu shots, regulation, alzheimer's, etc... I'm just very leery myself. I hope everyone feels better before you have to leave.

I've been checking the weather now and then to see what the temperature has been like, and it's been in the mid- to high-70's. I hope it stays that way when we leave in 2 weeks! :flower:

Woo Hoooooo
I was just thinking the same thing. Here we are in New England having a snow storm and to think in 2 weeks from today i could be swimming. Yipee!!!!! How cool is that!

I understand you can't get the flu from a flu shot (it's not a live virus), but let's just say I got the flu shot on Nov. 4th and have been sick every since. On the 5th I started with the sore throat, had laringitis for a few days (hard to yell at kids with that!), then it felt like it was going away and then started up again!! I am starting to feel better now - good thing because we leave in 7 days!!

I don't think I'll get the flu shot again!!

I am too excited and have spent too much money to get sick on my vacation. If I werent flying with a bunch of strangers I might not have, but all those germs in a little space. I have threatened to put on those white face mask on dd and myself like they do in other countries on the plane, so dh settled for the flu shots. And I dont know if it would ever help protect against the bird flu or not, but I hope we never have to find out! Have a good trip everyone!!! I think we have the same schedule as most reading on here.

Sat Arrive
sun Epcot
Mom MGM
Tue tea w/ alice, MVMCP
Wed MK
Thur Ak, cirque
Fri ?mk, princess tea

DD is excited but she really has no idea what for, I told her it is kind of like going to the fair and so is thrilled. Have a safe trip everyone and great weather!!!!! :wizard:

Last year we all took an Airborne before we went on the plane. They have them at most drug stores (CVS actually makes their own). It's worth a try!!

Me too!! 5 days and counting the kids and I just watched the planning video again!! :cool1:

Hi December tripmates!

We just returned yesterday and had a wonderful time! Very low crowds, great weather, friendly and cheerful cast members... everything was just perfect!

How about the rest of you?

What is you all are talking about with the FREE dining plan? How do I find out about it and is it also available in Jan (21-28th) Thanks so much :earsgirl:

We returned yesterday , too! The crowds weren't bad... but they were a lot worse than expected :( Wait times were still great though, using fastpass etc. Nothing like summer or other high times! The only other complaint I have is the RAIN! But even that wasn't as bad as we were prepared for.... all in all, a great trip!

Disney offered the dining plan free back around September. It's over now. :(

What were the wait times like for those of you that just got back? Does anyone have an idea of what the wait times should be like during Christmas?

The wait times for rides were very low in every park, especially in the mornings. They got a little heavier in the afternoons, but we generally found that if a ride was listed with a wait time of 20 minutes, it was really 5 to 10 minutes at the most. If a 10-minute wait was listed, it was either a walk-on or maybe a 5-minute wait. The waits for the buses at Pop Century were very low, too. I think our longest wait was around 15 minutes.

Wait times during Christmas (for rides and buses) will be very, very long from what I've been told and what I've read. The week leading up to Christmas and following Christmas are some of the busiest times of the year, unfortunately. :(
