December 2005 Info, Code, Dining, & Special Package Watch! :)

We're going 11/27-12/2. Already have MVMCP tickets for 11/29. Trying to decide on APs or regular tickets. Since we're using our DVC points, I don't think we'd be eligible for free dining, but it's good to keep up with the possible discounts for Dec.

We'll be there from 12/2 thru 12/9 to celebrate our son's 7th Birthday on the 7th. We'll be doing a split stay 2 nights CR and 5 nights BWV. I can't wait to get back and you guys help the wait not hurt so much.

Does anyone know what date the holiday rates ended last year? I know that we couldn't get them coming in on the 27th. Thanks :earboy2:

No, I don't think so, but usually they end the 24th. So if you book that day (the 24th), you will get the discounted rate the whole time.
Thank you very much for letting me know.
I wish I could do the 24th, but family will not allow me to leave before Christmas morning. LOL :sad2:

I just wanted to thank everyone for sharing their opinions about MVMCP. Hopefully we'll be able to go eventually, if not this time around.

Also, welcome to all the new folks who've joined us. The more, the merrier! :flower:

We'll be at the Beach Club from Dec.3 -10. Just DD27, DM74, and me (age is somewhere in between those two ). Going to be an all girls week leaving hubbies at home. Still haven't decided about MVMCP yet.

We have already booked a package including the dining plan. If free (or even discounted) dining came out, (or any other promotion for that matter) -- could we simply change the parts of the reservation that apply? Or would we have to cancel our reservation and start over? We are really thrilled with our flight info, etc and would hate to fly to MCO later or back home any earlier!

I too am going in December and waiting for a good deal! I don't have anything booked yet, because we won't die if we have to stay offsite! I will be there December 2-10th!

Add another Dec. tripper here: Myself, DH,DS,BIL,SIL and Cousin (very first trip for her) We will be staying at the CSR from Dec 6-11 for ourselfs and the IL's and cousin will be arriving from NY on the 5th.
I was told a Fl rest. rate will be coming out in Aug by a CM when I book our ressies so i'm keeping my fingers crossed for that. I would LOVE to have the free dinning except that will mean more people going and I soooo want it to be less crowed than the last time we went in early Nov. 2003.
If no codes come out I may brake down an buy an AP for myself, because going back more than once wouldn't be hard for me to do :rotfl: Whats a few more days of OT. I've been doing an extra 8 hours awk since April to help pay for this trip, plus I'm using my Christmas Club money that the Credit Union has at my job.

Can't wait and Thanks for starting this thread.

Count us in also! Well, tentatively. It all depends on the money! But hopefully, I will see all of you guys there!!

I *think* you would call Disney as soon as the packages were released (assuming they do extend the free dining oh please oh please oh please :worship: ) and ask to apply the appropriate code to your reservation. If there is availability (I believe there are only so many pkgs per resort) you are fine, if not, I guess you'd have to decide whether playing with your dates/airfare would be worth the package savings.

Does anyone think that this package was offered now because hurricane season last year scared alot of folks away?

I am really hoping for the same thing in December but with the draw of all there is to do during that time frame (decorations, MVMCP, CP,) I get a little worried.

We are going regardless but eating for free would be great!

I think that is absolutely why they offered it, but they extended the 7 for 4 and the 7 for 5 packages so I'm going to stay optimistic. Just keep hopin', hopin', hopin'....

I can't wait anymore! I am going in December but I am having major withdrawal!!!!!!!!! I need some :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy: ! and maybe a few :mickeybar :mickeybar too!

Please Disney send me a code!!!!!

We will be at Disney for Christmas 12/23-12/30. We have not booked room yet as we are hoping for some kind of discount. However, I will gladly pay rack rate for this time of year. We stayed at AKL last Christmas and had the time of our lives doing the CP package and Mickeys Christmas Party. The only thing I would do differently is to book more dining as that time f year it is impossible to walk up and eat in the restaraunts.

can't wait to get codes so I can book!

New poster here. I recently booked a vacation package directly through Disney for my honeymoon Nov 30 - 12/4. :cool1: I'm really interested in any available discounts. I've only paid the $200 deposit so far. Will I be able to take advantage of any discounts that come out between now and then? Can I just call and ask for them? Also, I am a AAA member. Do I have to book through AAA in order to get their room rates? Thanks a bunch!

You must be so excited :). But don't count on any codes for the time that you're going. That is Holiday time, and Disney does not release codes for that time period because they are the fullest at that time. I would suggest booking your accomodations now and expect to pay rack rate---rooms fill up very fast for that particular time. There may be some package offers for your time, and there may be codes good through 12/25 released later (based on code and package discount history). I hope it all works out for you. Have fun planning!!

I hope this helps.

Nope-call WDW and ask them if there is a AAA rate available for your room.

AAA rate direct with WDW will be for room only-if you have a package you would go have to go through AAA vacations.

Personally-I'd book the AAA room rate and add stuff later. It is much easier to change that kind of a ressie than a package. With a package, they might insist you cancel the original and rebook.
