Timon, I sent you a PM. I wouldn't say the rates are cheap but they do have Poly @ $234 and AKL CL for $238 so it's better than rack, but still not cheap.

I could REALLY use your help. My entire family is going with us to WDW this December, in-laws to. Everyone has a reservation, except for in-laws. They aren't big Disney fans like my family. Could you possibly get the information for a nice rate at either the POLY or AKL Conc for them. They are deluxe resort individuals that aren't used to Disney prices and the entire process has my wife alittle upset.
I just want my wife to relax and have fun. This is our first trip to WDW with our DD, she just turned 18 months. We are staying @ GF. The rest of my family is staying at the BC, WL, & POR.

See post #439 on this thread. She got a GREAT rate through her travel agent (TA). Also, some folks post that they get really good rates by using AAA discounts. They say the price of purchasing the AAA can end up saving them hundreds later on.

Thanks for all the help. I know what prices are like at WDW. Did college internship with Disney College Program and have been 53 times without working for Disney. I just want in-laws to stay on property. I already have mother-in-law turning corner on WDW....just need a push for father-in-law. The rates Wendy Darling got, I can get in-laws to go for those rates. The are comparable to rates they got off property for 4 star hotels.

What does it mean to "bump" a thread, or message, or whatever is being referred to above?

If no one replies to a topic it will get lower on the list and eventually go off into cyber heaven. However, if someone replies (with nothing to say), or gives it a bump, the topic goes to the front of the line. So from time to time someone will bump the thread.

It moves the thread back up to the top of the list of threads so that it doesn't get burried or moved to the second page.

Everytime someone posts in a thread, that thread gets moved to the top of the thread list. If one wants a thread to stay very visible and accessible but doesn't necessarily have anything new to post, they can just go in and put anything in...but most folks use the word "bump" so the thread subscribers know what's going on.

We're also going to be at AKL Con. We're going Dec. 2 - 10 so maybe we'll see you there. This is my first trip and my kids first trip. My dh went when he was a kid. My dd is turning six while we're there and my ds will be nineteen months old.

Just as an FYI, the rate on a postcard can't typically be transferred to someone else. They ask you for the number on the card and the name. As I recall, the reservation has to be made in the name on the postcard or the spouse's name. Could be wrong, but that is how I remember it.

Hello Everyone!

Add me to the December Trip group. I'm staying at POP and have just my room booked for now.

It's a birthday and xmas present to myself! (did the same thing last year)

I just love all the decorations. This year I am going to try and see all the resorts decorated and take pictures. Last year I only saw Pop and the GF.

I also would like to get that free dining option added to these value dates.

Well I am off to read the rest of this thread..I stopped at the end of page 4 so I could post. (I just couldn't wait any longer)

We're going the 9th through the 16th and I'm crossing my fingers they extend the military discount offer from Oct. to when we're going in Dec. All we have is plane tickets right now that we got from Indianapolis to Orlando non-stop for $140 roundtrip from orbitz. So at least I know we're getting there! It's killing me waiting so long before reserving the room. My parents and brother are going with us and my mom always waits until 1 or 2 months before we go to make room reservations. I don't know how she does it!!!
