December 12 - 19, 2009 Western Magic

ha, isn't that always the case. I was making luggage tags for my parents when I went to look for the lamination packet I got at the dollar store over a year ago. I had put them away so I wouldn't lose them. Will...geez, it took me an hour to remember where I put the darn things!!!! Duh....

Thank goodness!!!

Ok, after the vent, I cooled off and thought harder. In a moment of "organization", I transferred the supplies to a smaller bag and tucked them on the counter. Can't get that hour of searching back, but at least the supplies are recovered! :cheer2:

BTW, anyone else in panic mode? I'm seriously freaking out about packing and being gone for 16 nights!!!! :scared1:

I really needed to see these cruise photos to keep my happiness on high alert. We are under a severe snow storm warning in the Chicago land area which makes me so nervous with our drive. We are supposed to be leaving on Wed afternoon and I'm hoping all goes as planed.

My youngest son is cutting his two year molars and he is being a monster. It all makes me dread this road trip but I must think positive. I am ready to rock n roll in the sun and escape this snow although it is beautiful.

Thank goodness!!!

Oh yes, I keep thinking I am forgetting something---or I'll forget to turn off something. The packing part is done for me it's just the securing of the house and making sure I have all the important documents for our journey.

Me too! And then I have to chuckle and say, "I've outsmarted myself again!" or "I couldn't find it because I'm soooo organized" :scared1:

Laugh--- I'm going to start using that one on myself- " I've outsmarted myself"---so much better than being forgetful ;)

I am SO glad to hear that I am not the only one that does that! (lost the Christmas cards we had made on DCL 2 years ago doing that very thing, and found them by last Christmas.)

Thanks for the idea on the scooter. I may call and look into that. A regular push chair won't work since I cannot rely in my little one to push me around, but I'm going to check the scooter info.

OMG I should be packing. So much to do and so little time. I have to be ready before Friday (because I have a party on Friday night I have to take care of--I sell Thirty-One gifts, and the hostess couldn't change the date of the party.)

So, you are all meeting up on Saturday at 3:00?

Thank goodness!!!

My house is a wreck and I haven't really started packing. and my FE stuff became a sudden headache (long story).

And I now have a sinus infection. gotta keep swimming! it will be worth it.

Sue Ellen....yes 3 pm meeting time for DISers. Glad you're considering meeting with us and the scooter. :)

So it rained pretty much all day yesterday here. We needed it.

This morning it was 33 degrees and there was ice on our cars. 1st, and likely last time all year.

This cruise can't get here fast enough.

Oh, last night spent time with the girls looking for their 'light up' toys (bracelets, rings, and other assorted glowing items for Pirate Night) so we don't end up buying them again on the ship. Found many!:yay:

One of my favorite decks:

I posted this before but since some of you have ice and snow heres a little hope, my all time favorite picture from Castaway Cay

BTW I lost my waterproof belly bag and cant find it yet... I am betting I over organized it and packed it so now I have to go through my suitcase and check!

I procrastinated making my magnets only to have problems with them yesterday before leaving the house. While the girls were getting their nails done DH tried to have them printed somewhere to no avail. Finally got them to work when I got home. Oh, and I forgot to mention, my computer died this past week so I lost most of the graphics people made for me. I was able to get a few that had been PM'd to me and a couple that strangely I had saved on DH's computer. At least the doors won't be completely naked!

The drive overnight was long and tiring. The girl slept sporatically. Hit quite a bit of rain and it's raining here in Atlanta. Ready for sunshine. We hit the road again in the morning to Orlando.

I wish everyone luck with all their last minute arrangements! Hopefully everyone has what they need and nothing gets lost. Can't wait to meet everyone on Saturday.

Just think baby tylenol and baby advil....;)

Is that plexiglass on the railings- does Disney do that all over the ship? That's a really neat safety feature unless my eyes are just glazed over from :surfweb:

That deck was closed for most nights of our Eastern cruise last year because it was too windy to be out there. But it was a favorite evening "Promenade" spot for us on our Dec 2005 Western cruise! Here's hoping for good weather!

Hello everyone, my name is Manuel; just finished reading all 130 + pages of great fun, excellent advises & tips, and specially good Disney Christmas Spirit all around. Thank all once again.

And yes we are a cat 12 ever since I gave my family this cruise as a Christmas present (paid on December 2008). Our stateroom is No. 6601 which os fanny (or to worry) because it doesnt appear in the stateroom link posted here few days ago. I guess it used to be a closet and now turned into stateroom.

This is our second 7 night Disney Magic Cruise (Eastern First)

We are a family of three my DW, DD (16) and myself. Going to the Poly on fraiday 11th and leaving to the Cape around 9:30 am. We want to arrive "before the buses" since last time we missed lunch on the ship.

I was just wandering if there are any bracelets left; they are really nice. Unfortunatelly i just found the Disboartd only a week ago and it sure is too late for the FE, so all I can say is for you to have a lot of fun, but if there are any bracelets please count me in with 3 adults.

I really, really had a lot of fun reading all de comments !

See you in few hours, Manuel or Manny is the same for me.
