Hello everyone, my name is Manuel; just finished reading all 130 + pages of great fun, excellent advises & tips, and specially good Disney Christmas Spirit all around. Thank all once again.

And yes we are a cat 12 ever since I gave my family this cruise as a Christmas present (paid on December 2008). Our stateroom is No. 6601 which os fanny (or to worry) because it doesnt appear in the stateroom link posted here few days ago. I guess it used to be a closet and now turned into stateroom.

This is our second 7 night Disney Magic Cruise (Eastern First)

We are a family of three my DW, DD (16) and myself. Going to the Poly on fraiday 11th and leaving to the Cape around 9:30 am. We want to arrive "before the buses" since last time we missed lunch on the ship.

I was just wandering if there are any bracelets left; they are really nice. Unfortunatelly i just found the Disboartd only a week ago and it sure is too late for the FE, so all I can say is for you to have a lot of fun, but if there are any bracelets please count me in with 3 adults.

I really, really had a lot of fun reading all de comments !

Thank you Bevtoy for the gift, that is really nice of you, just make sure there is no one left out from the original list of the FE, just in case some one brings a last minute aditional passeger. On our Eastern Caribbean Magical Experience when the ship arrived at St. John US Customs had to check passengers vs passports and they had to do a ship passenger count. This is ok unless it's done at 4 am after you have being partiying till 2 am. My question is if there is a similar mandatory procedure at the Western ?

The ship actually doesn't go to St. John. What you experienced was at St. Thomas. The reason you had to do the Customs check is that the ship had sailed from a US port (Canaveral) to a foreign port (St. Maarten) to a US port (St. Thomas.) SO, at the US port, you had to do a US Customs check...ah the joys of 7 am.

On the Western, we go from a US port (Canaveral) to another US port (Key West), so no need for Customs check. Then we go to 2 foreign ports.

Does anybody here pin trade? I'm bringing a few pins. Not a lot because...well, I'm actually too shy to be a good pin trader.

And yup, I'm still procrastinating. Haven't even packed a sock yet.

DD used to pin trade--she likes anything chip and dale. However, she has lessened a lot. There are plenty of pin trading events where shy doesn't matter. CMs at GS, head servers at breakfast and lunch, and evening trading events in the atrium (some with officers) are all available. A CM cannot refuse to trade with you provided you have a pin that meets the requirements (real Disney pin, not damaged, and not a duplicate of one already on their lanyard). And there are ways around the duplicate rule.

I LOVE schedule conflicts. DD came up with another class she wanted to take. I wasn't thrilled because I'd rather see her excel at a slightly lighter schedule than add another class and not do as well....so she finally looked up the additional class. It won't work! Sorry, I shouldn't be happy, but as I pointed out, there will be many more chances to take it in future semesters if she still wants. It was a "just for fun" elective that won't count for anything anyhow.

Ah well, if you or any of your kids want some overseas Disney park pins, come trade with me. I've got a few and I've decided that for this trip, I will actually part with them.

Charging the netbook, the camera batteries and the ipod right now. LOL Tomorrow...will be P-Day (Packing Day).

I've still recovering from some weird bug I picked up. Yesterday, I sounded like Miss Piggy (Moi?). Today, I'm a bit better. I hope that I'll be able to fly on Thursday without feeling like there are ice picks in my ears.

I'm not a pin trader but do know once in the ship they do have pin trading gatherings; it's anounced on the Daily Navigator. I do have one for the wine tasting event which it's kind of exclusive for only WDC guests and only adults of course.

Dont't feel bad about the packing my DW has done and undone her's like three times. It's fum though, wathching her argue with the suitcase, for a change. lol, I forgot to tell her about the Pirate Party. Opps that's going to cost me !

The only thing I've packed are the FE gifts and FE! I've drawn up a list, but that's about it. I seem to be the only one worried about it... DH seems to think we can just toss some clothes in a bag on Saturday morning and go. I'll be reminding him of his lack of planning if we have to buy a $20 bottle of sun block, eight $2 bottles of water, a $12 bottle of Advil, a $35 pair of shorts, etc. etc. We usually do condos, and anything we forget, we buy at the Walmart down the street!

Got the Cub Scout card making party behind me tonight, and that was my last "major" non-cruise related to-do. I can start turning my attention to departure. Unfortunately, the list of small to-dos is NEVERENDING. Gifts to mail, teacher gifts, pet sitter to meet, bills to pay ahead, decorations to finish, post Christmas travel plans to make....

I flat out told DH to get busy on pronto. Someone's gotta pull some of this load!

It will be fun to be ON vacation this close to Christmas, but getting there while negotiating the holiday isn't something I'm sure I'd do again.

BTW, I was in the parking lot of Target over the weekend and nearly got mowed down by a grey mustang speeding through the lot. When he drove by, I spotted his Disney CM shirt and nametag. Hope it's not a sign....

Check your Budget car rentals you guys that rented with them. I got a rate of $41 something with the Costco code a while back and just used code Y937800 and got it down to $37.29. This is for ONE way, Full size cars!


OK, so duh, I went and rechecked the Costco rate and it is even lower...for those that can use that. That code is W852849 and the rate is $$35.39 total!
