Dec 5, 2010 ~ 4 nights on the Wonder!

Hi MommaMouse, I so feel your pain. I've had more car problems than I can count on all 10 fingers.:lmao:Hopefully it will be something minor and not the tranny. Is it still under warranty? The drive train is usually covered, depending on how many miles it has on it. That's why I now buy new and trade in every 3 to five years. Don't miss the days of of towing and car repairs.:sad2: Sending some pixie dust your way. pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:Have faith.:goodvibes

no its an old car (2001)..and I really cannot afford to buy a new car...I was hoping to have this car for at least another 3 years...the good thing is I do have my kids fathers car at my house...its an F150...I put $40 in gas today, and it barely filled it to the half way mark.

thanks for the pixie dust...I tend to be overdramatic when things dont go my way..I've had transmission problems with my favorite car(pontiac grand prix) so I'm always flustered when my car has issues....

The 21st sounds good to me.
Will you make it official?
Sorry to hear about your car problems, I hate having to spend money on cars!
Hope it is not as serious as you have been thinking.

So cut off date is the 21st.

I bought my jingle bell necklace today from kmart ($4). Lol

The car is in the shop. It was a cable that broke to the tranny. So its a "simple" fix. Phew

But what's funny is the key to the F150 keeps getting stuck in the ignition! Last night it was stuck and I just sat in my car with my mouth ajaw like did I just break this truck too!!!

MommaMouse, I'm glad to hear it wasn't something more expensive! Car repairs always stink, but they are even worse right before the holidays.

Sorry to hear about the car problems

I can definitely empathize with the unexpected expenses. In the last 12 months, we've had to replace the fan in our side by side refrigerator (broke last December while we were on DCL--had to replace all the food when we got home). We had to replace our 7 year old washer and dryer after they stopped working efficiently and would be more $ to fix than they were worth. Our 7 year old hot water heater broke on New Years Day and had to be replaced along with emergency holiday fees. Our dishwasher soap thingie broke. In June our 7 year old master bath tile shower caved in one area and had to be gutted and replaced. When we were on DCL in the Baltic in July, our 7 year old freezer broke and we lost all the food. Then in September, I get a huge splinter from our 7 year old deck in my foot, need emergency surgery from an infection I got from wood still in my foot and hidden (I'm still in the walking boot) and had our deck replaced to Trex --just finished yesterday. I'm holding my breath that all goes well while we are gone in December!! I'm really hoping 2011 is a better year.

I haven't been getting many of these updates so can someone please PM me when the final FE list comes out so I can start making up my bags.

3 weeks from today we'll be getting ready to head to the airport!!

Anyone planning on MK on the 3rd or 4th to check out that Christmas Day parade taping? We saw it being filed 2 years ago and thought it was really neat to see.

I almost forgot---we had to replace 9 vinyl fence panels last month and have some siding fixed from when they were taken down by a horrible wind storm in late September. The fence was a year old and back then we had to completey replace a 6 year old wooden fence after a neighbor's trampoline blew threw it and we had more damage from another bad wind storm. We lost 12 panels total from wind and 3 from the trampoline. We thought by going vinyl we were done with replacing it!

Hi Everyone - Sorry I have been off the board for a while.....

Looking forward to our cruise - we are still participating in the FE and we look forward to meeting everyone at 3pm in the Promenade Lounge -

STAY HEALTHY!!!!

Hello! Thank you Mommamouse! I've been gathering little treats for the FE, but I was hoping that you guys could clarify how this works. Do we give a treat per cabin or per person? Each day or only once? Someone mentioned making bags. Just want to make sure we have enough goodies! Have had fun with this. :) Thanks for helping the new kids!! :):):)

PrincessSharon, I was just going over my FE list and I realized I don't have your age, what is it? I was looking back and could not find it.
Just 3 short weeks to go, hooray:goodvibes

smhalon-- I know in past DCL FE exchanges we've participated in, we have generally only given a one time bag of small gifts just to make it easier handing them out. It's a big ship when you are walking aft to forward and starboard/port on different decks! Sometimes during past FE exchanges we've had participants sign up for specific days/times to drop off so that people get things on each day. I'm not sure if people would like to do that for this cruise?

I like to give our stuff out on the day before or of pirate night since I usually give kids some pirate themed items.

Whatever you give, people will be happy with it--we've received everything from post cards to Disney dishes/place settings.

okay I updated the list.

I have started to pack...my closet is finally debris free and clean however, my room is not...lol..I have suitcases on the floor. My son's crib is filled with clothes for the boys to pack ( I washed and dried everything thsi weekend)

I put all the FES together...

I made my luggage tags...

I was a busy momma this weekend. and I had to work..so I'm on 10 hours of sleep for the whole weekend.

Hey everyone!

Wow! The thread has been busy and I've been missing it!

Sorry I haven't posted! I hope everyone's plans are going well and that we are all getting really excited! Just think.......19 days and we will be boarding the Wonder!

We are staying at the Country Inn & Suites the night before and I doubt I'll be sleeping at all!

I hope to meet everyone at the Promenade Lounge at 3pm....remember to wear your bell necklaces! I'll be jingling my necklace at the port before we board....so if you see me say hi!!!!!! :hyper:

Okay, PrincessSharon:rotfl:

At least I can get you a gift now for the FE. I thought you were a teenager, but according to you, you are not!
Can't wait for this cruise! I am at work on my lunch and counting the days off until our cruise.
Last night I was able to download some designs that Jordak did for me, awesome! It was so easy, I probable did some thing wrong:surfweb:
Do any of you know if Jordak is a man or woman? I asked, but I haven't received an answer yet.

I just got a picture from my girlfriend, her son and family had gone to Atlantis for a week, and the picture is of the Wonder and another ship pulled into Nassau. My question is, does the Wonder pull right up to a dock or do we tender in? The picture raised this question in my mind.

Hot Dog Lady, my teenage years are long behind me! I'm glad to know printing Jordak's designs is easy, because I am going to do it this weekend. By the way, I think he's a he, but I'm not sure.
