Dec 5, 2010 ~ 4 nights on the Wonder!

Hey MommaMouse! Universal/Islands of Adventure is pretty for Christmas! They have a character breakfast where you can get pics with the Grinch, Cat in the Hat, all the Whos from Whoville....the list goes on.

Last year I got great pictures of My daughter with Cat in the Hat and both of us with the Grinch....it was pretty cool:goodvibes

Hot Dog Lady I hope all the documents make it to everyone in your party soon! Nothing is better than getting special Disney mail! Here is some pixie dust for a speedy delivery!pixiedust:

We got our cruise documents on Saturday too. It's always so exciting to see those luggage tags!

My ds9 finished football Sunday and ds13 finishes his football season tomorrow. Wrestling starts already next week for ds9, but I'm looking forward to 4 nights in a gym and not 6 nights of practices/games for football. I love watching them play, it's just that the time flies and it's nice to have some relaxing, lazy evenings!

It's starting to get rather cold here and Castaway Cay can't come fast enough! It will be my birthday the day we are there and I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be!

Have you all heard the new horn on Youtube for the Disney Dream? It's "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes." Sounds great.

We will be heading to the airport in exactly one month from today! We are planning MK the morning on the 4th and the afternoon at DTD with our friends who will be cruising with us. After the cruise we will go to MVMCP on the 9th, DHS on the 10th, Universal on the 11th and hop from AK to Epcot on the 12th before flying out. Southwest lowered our return fare yesterday so we've now got $46 credit to apply to another trip.

I saw my surgeon yesterday and have another month in my walking boot. I'm so hoping to be out of it by our cruise. I see him again on 12/1. I start physical therapy and steroid gel next week so they are hoping that will help with my healing. The outiside of my foot looks great (well compared to what it did) and the inside is now about 50% healed. He said it may take from Jan-March to fully heal. He just told me I won't be wearing heals on our trip, only sneakers. I will have to find some dressy looking sneakers if that's the case. I don't want to wear my white Nike's on dress up night and at Palo!

Hanover...we will be at MVMCP on the 9th as well.

@cherylsue..I do'nt know about doing character bfast with those guys Miguel might get scared..he's pretty particular about characters. but I think I am going to go for November...check it out...I know it'll be busy there but I just want to see the decorations and harry potter world.

Pixie dust for your foot! pixiedust: I hope it gets better before the cruise!

Maybe a nice pair of dressy mules or flats for your Palo outfit??? I'm not going to be wearing heels because I just don't want to trip trying to balance myself on a rocking boat so I'll be wearing flats.

My DD13 plays softball and it's like the practice/games are everyday! LOL Sometimes I wished she played an indoor sport....nothing like sitting in the wind and rain for a nice sloppy base sliding practice!:rotfl: Our town here in Florida just hosted the first ever girls softball world series and my DD's team won it all! Well, it was a couple of months ago but I still like to brag

I heard the new fog horn for the Dream! It gives me goosebumps!!!!! I can't wait to hear the Wonder's horn in person and hopefully to rebook on the cruise for the Dream next year!!!!:goodvibes

Hello everyone! I'm so excited to be joining all of you on this cruise - my very first! And from reading through the thread, it looks like a lot of us are first time cruisers. I'm slightly nervous, but I can't wait! And I guess I'm only a couple of doors down from shadowryter. I'm in cabin 6084. I definitely plan to be at the meet. Can't wait to meet you all.

Hello fellow cruisers!

My husband just recently booked this cruise for our family and we are VERY excited! We have a 4 1/2 year old daughter and a 20 month old son.

We would very much like to be part of the fish extender trade, if there is still time. I am not very certain how this works or how to become part of this--first time cruiser with Disney. If someone wouldn't mind helping get me started, we would appreciate it!

We would also very much like to decorate our door. I have some ideas that we could make, but we were wondering where people get their magnets. Do you buy them from designers that post on the board or do you make them at home. If you buy them, please help me with any recommendations you have.

Sorry for the very late notice. Based on the posts, many of you have been planning for this cruise for a very long time. We live in Orlando and just decided to take a break from real life, so we are late in the game at this point. One thing is for certain--my kiddos LOVE Disney and we can't wait for our trip to start!!

Thank you so much!:flower3:

Smiles!

Hi Shannon...Let me be the first to welcome you and your family.:welcome:Yes some of us have been planning for a while. MommaMouse has a list that we've been keeping track with. There are several of us participating in the FE. You can get ideas on the cruise thread and it's a great place to start. As far as decorating your door goes, you can check out the designers on the Creative DISign boards. I happen to be one of them and you can check out my designs by clicking on the 4shared link in my signature. If you see something you like just let me know, my design thread part II is the most recent. We also have a meet in the Promenade Lounge at 3 pm on embarkation day. Hope to see you all there. Take care and happy planning.:goodvibes

Shannon, welcome and glad to see more kids on the ship! I have a 2yr old and a 6month old!

As far as the FE, this is like a pocket organizer u hang from your fishey outside ur cabin door. And we drop our little gifts in there and as far as giftsd some people make the fe gifts for each cabin or for each cabin and the kiddies or just the kiddies. Or some people buy gifts. But we are talking like candy or $050 to $2 a pieace.

As for the magnets, you have to request them on creative disign thread. Then you can either buy magnet paper fropm office depot ($13 for 5sheets) and print them out or print them out on thick paper and buy peel and tick magnets (walmart has them in there crafts aisle).

As for FE, there's a thread witpictures of various ones (u can look in my pretrip report and see mine). No matter if u make or buy opne from ebay its gonna cpost ya like $30. Some people use bags or totes.

See u on the ship!
