Hi, I know what you mean. I am trying to meet everyone here, and it may take the rest of the time before the cruise to do so.

I am looking forward to some fun in the sun!

I'm 51 and DH is 50 so you're definitely not the only older couple here.

The gingerbread house on the ship is nice but I don't think it holds a candle to the work at the resorts.
I am 45 myself. How the time flies when you're having fun!

I finally got around to calling and buying our MVMCP tickets and booking our towncar to the port today. It feels good to have those pieces squared away:thumbsup2

So feeling not very creative here is my Question of the week: How is everyone getting to/from the port?

We are taking Tiffany Town Car (private towncar service) to the port. It is less expensive for us with four than DCL trasnfers (but close these days) and we like the conveince of picking whatever time we want to depart and having a private ride.
On the way home our flight does not leave Orlando until almost 8 pm. So, we are getting a one way rental car so we can have some fun that day (which may mean the joy of shopping at a Target and eating tex-mex--oh the funny things you miss:lmao:).

How is everyone getting to/from the port?

As this is our first Disney Cruise, I did not research it very well when it came to transfers. For some reason I thought the transfers were included with the cruise, much like the DME to the various resorts. We also have an 11:30AM departure home on the day we disembark so we don't have much time for anything except eat, get onto our shuttle to the airport and go onto the plane. Prices on Delta were best at that time slot and we are still getting home in time for dinner in Canada. I believe the earliest the Disney site said to book our flight was 11:30, so ours is actually 11:35!

It's cutting it close, but Hakuna Matata!

How is everyone getting to/from the port?

We are flying in on Fri. renting a car from Budget, to do some sightseeing and exploring around the Port. Original plan is to take the transfers back to SSR, and Magical express when we fly out the 15th. Now the thought is to maybe rent a car at the port and drive to ssr, keep the car and drop it at MCO> We'd have to cancell the transfer within the next couple days tho:confused3

Question of the week: How is everyone getting to/from the port?

.

Since we'll already be at WDW, we're getting a rental on Saturday morning from the Budget office in the DTD area.

For leaving the port, we've got a reservation through Thirfty. We'll head back to WDW from there where the kids and I will spend the next 5 nights. DH will get to stay for one night but then he has to return home on Sunday so he'll return the car at MCO then.

How is everyone getting to/from the port?

We're arriving on the 2nd and renting from Avis so that we can drop the car off at the port on Saturday. Then when we return to port we are renting from Avis again to return to WDW until we leave at the end of day on the 13th.

How is everyone getting to/from the port?

We will be coming from BLT to get to the port, so we are using a town car. We currently have FL Tours reserved, but we've used Tiffany in the past, so I may compare prices and switch if it's a wash.

Coming back, we're renting a car and will play it by ear a bit - may go to Epcot for the day (6pm flight) or try an airport Hyatt day pass. I don't want to tie us down to anything, so we'll decide that day.

I am taking the Disney Cruise bus from WDW to the port. I will be arriving the day before and staying at the Boardwalk Villas and going to the Candlelight Processional and Epcot.

any one else arriving sat. morning?
When we return we will head to AKL for the night then head back home sunday night. :woohoo:

Well, kind of, sorta like.....

Ok, ok, we're arriving at the port on sat. Morning after spending 2 nights at CBR.

Not quite what you were looking for, but we're looking forward to meeting you:goodvibes:)
