Sorry, I wasn't sure where to post this. I don't know if it really matters or not, but my DD(will be 6)'s name is spelled wrong on our reservation. I spelled her name (several times) for the CM that made the reservation, but it is still wrong. Will this matter?? Would they have any type of welcome thing or anything that they would put our names on? This is our first trip so I don't really know what to expect. Thanks for any help.

You need to call and have it fixed or it will be wrong on her ticket/key to the kingdom. Not a big deal for security but a big deal for her first trip keepsake!

In the scheme of things it won't matter, but you can call and have them correct it. When you check into your hotel, they will issue a key card (called Keys to the World) in your DD's name and if your daughter is like mine, she'll want to see her name spelled correctly.

Thank you!! I was worried about something like that. She won't have to show ID for anything, but I was more worried about the memories. I have so many keepsakes from different events in my childhood that my name was spelled wrong on, I don't want to do that to her.

Oh yeah, I can already hear her now "Mom, they spelled my name wrong." and then she would procede to spell her name to the CM at check in.

We went for my daughter's 5th birthday. Cinderella left her a card but it was addressed to "Mason"....she is "Maysain". I told her that Cinderella isn't a very good speller. That was good enough for her. It's still a bit sad....should have known when I saw her key. I would suggest getting it changed. I had to call and change me from a Mrs. to a ..umm...nothing? And also corrected my name and daughters name.

1) They can change it at check-in.
2) Just let them know when they review the occupants with you.
3) Very easy.

The CM that took my reservation switched my DGDs ages. She made my 12yr old 17 and the 17 yr old 12! I have tried to correct this each time that I have had to call WDW and it still is the same. Will try to fix this when we get there and they see the height difference! LOL

Ever since we've gone with my DD, about 9, yes NINE years ago, they have been spelling her name wrong and we've tried to correct it a gazillion times. REALLY! For some reason, the computer still goes back to their orginial spelling. It just bugs her to no end because she loves the KTTW cards as souvenirs. Also, like a pp said, they use the spelling for special cards and cakes, etc. so we've gotten several of them wrong too.
I wish I would have thought to say Cinderella, Minnie, etc. was a bad speller!

It annoyed her so much that when she was in 3rd grade, before we went on her trip, she tried to change the spelling of her name to the way Disney (and everyone else who gets it wrong) spells it. Her teachers wouldn't let her do it though!
She does have a name that can be spelled in a variety of ways, but c'mon Disney!

1) There is no try about it.
2) It is a very simply thing for the Front Desk person to do.
3) Takes maybe 2-3 minutes.

*sigh* You would think it would be that easy, right?!
For us, it reverts back to the spelling they always have. I don't get it.

Best Wishes for everyone's corrections! :)

I had to call beacause they had my DD6 down as a boy. Her name is Alyssa! They corrected it.
