DDP Menu Questions ????

Hi I have been checking out menus again and have a few questions I hope someone can answer.
1. At Epcot Sunshine Seasons What are the DDP dessert options ?
2.At Kona can you substitute fingerling potatoes for sticky rice with the shrimp and scallop?
3.At Planet Hollywood Can you get the VIP appie platter on deluxe DDP ? and Can you get the dessrt sampler as a dessert??

ok, so i dont have the answer to your question, but i just wanted to say i am in awe of your planning abilities. ive never even thought to look at a menu...oh i have so much to learn.

Last year, kids at Seasons had to get either a cookie or worms in dirt I believe, but adults could get any of the amazingly good pastries as dessert with the DDP. It's one of my favorite places just for those desserts (which also work as a nice afternoon snack with a DDP snack credit too!). The selections change, but we have seen various cakes, strawberry shortcake, fruit tulips, and more.

I have found all Disney restaurants pretty accommodating in swapping sides at TS meals, so I would guess you could do it at Kona (a great place).

I have no clue about Planet Hollywood because we don't go there.

Check out the menus on allears, they are not all 100% upto date but give you a good idea ! Are you using DDp when you go??

I agree, and I use the menus on the DIS whenever possible for planning. However, it was brought up on another thread that there are sometimes discrepancies between the menu info here and what's listed on other sites, such as allears. The reason a lot of folks still check there is that when the menus are updated, they list the date, so recent changes are obvious. This was discussed with a mod on another thread, and they were going to suggest to the powers that be that the date of updates be included here on the DIS, too.

It's really important to know that you are looking at a current menu, because that can totally change your plans. For instance, it looks like Akershus has made some pretty major changes to their dinner menu, and now I'm wishing I had an ADR there!

This is exactly why I prefer allears ,I do check the other and sometimes thay have a date but other times the menu is very old !! But I digress I just wanted to know aboutwhat was included on ddp at certain restaurants .I am so happy to know I can sample those delish dessrts at Sunshine Seasons !!

With regard to KONA Cafe: 2 years ago I requested that the sticky rice that accompanied the shrimp/scallop dish be replaced with broccoli or some other veggie. Waiter said he'd check with the chef, and when my dish was delivered, there was a nice serving of broccoli in place of the rice. I asked at all sit down restaurants for a replacement of veggies for the starch (ie...rice/potatoes, etc) and was never turned down.
Do not hesitate to request a substitution, I'm sure they will do their best to accommodate you.

I consider it extremely doubtful that you will be able to order an appetizer platter or a dessert sampler on the DDP unless the restaurant permits two people to order one platter or sampler.

But I have no experience regarding Planet Hollywood and have not seen anyone post about it.

agree with posters about allearsnet.... I use them all the time because of the dates

Also, I find their site easier to navigate
