DDP 4/28-5/4 Kona, CP, CM, WCC, WPC, LeCell

Joh - the calamari had sauce on the side, I believe it was some sort of mustard-type sauce

At CM, the food was very fresh, I saw them replenishing constantly while we were there. I would not hesitate to do one of the last breakfast seatings again. It worked well as a "lunch" for us, allowing us to use the QS for dinner and not run out of credits, etc.

Great reviews - I have to agree, I have read quite often about inconsistencies in what is/isn't available on the plan. It would be helpful if they could keep the options the same.

I look forward to reading your trip report :thumbsup2

Thanks so much - my little boy will be 5 when we take him in April - he really wants to have breakfast with Mickey Mouse but I would much rather do a 'brunch' and use that as a break from the park rather than struggle to get everyone there really early.

Just one more questiona bout the calimari - it is so easy to overcook it, was it well cooked and not chewy?

Thanks again for all your reviews. It really does help my "mind frame" when we get to choosing CSs. All our TSs are set but we are still up in the air as to where exactly we will end up going. It's good to get a heads up before we go and will remember that there may be inconsistencies. :thumbsup2

, Filet w/ BBQ sauce on side.
My filet was AWESOME! Delicious! I had the sauce on the side b/c I wasn't sure if I'd like sauce on my steak, I never have it. It was really good, though, so I used it.

I am glad to hear that you can order the sauce on the side. I love steaks (espcecially Filet) and prefer it plain. Also glad to hear that you did like it when you tried it.

Great reviews!!!!

Thanks,

Missie

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask, I'd love to help as I got so much help here!!! I will be starting a Trip Report soon, so be sure to check that out if you're interested!! Thanks for reading!

I forgot to ask about the Pretzel Bread at Le Cellier. Is this just brought to the table (like regular bread at other restaurants) or do you have to order it? I LOVE soft pretzels....is this similar?

Thanks,

Missie

We are staying at the Poly for the first part of our vacation. How was the flat bread at Capt Cook's? I didn't realize they had dole whips there, YEAH!!!!

Joh - I asked DH and he said the Calimari was perfect, definitely not chewy. I don't eat seafood at all myself, so I'm clueless, LOL!

Missie - the bread at LeCellier is like breadsticks. You don't have to order it, they bring it to the table - 3 kinds: Multi-grain, sourdough and the pretzel bread. We liked both the sourdough and pretzel, requested seconds on the pretzel bread (for my soup!)

SnowWitch - I loved the Pepperoni Flatbread at CC, sooo good. And I can be picky about pizza. DH liked it too, as did the kids. We got that kind both times b/c we were sharing with the kids each time, but the other one sounded good (called the Polynesian, I think? not sure) too!

Thank you Sandy! It sounds very good!!!

Great reviews!! I never knew there were dole whips at Captain Cooks!! :cool1:

YUM!!! Your review of WPC put us over the edge, love calamari, love Key Lime Pie. Thank you for your reviews! It sounds like you had a good time!

Thanks for the great reviews. I was wondering if you can remember what kind of steaks they currently have on the menu at WPC. Also did you notice if they still have macadamia crusted chicken on their menu? I am planning on eating at WPC in 12/07 but it seems the menu has changed but hasn't been updated on any website I am familiar with so I would really appreciate any information I you can share.
Thanks!!!!!!:)

Hi! The only steak I remember is the Wolf's Steak that DH had -a ribeye. I think the menu here is accurate: http://www.levyrestaurants.com/Levy...olfgang+Puck+Cafe/Wolfgang+Puck+Cafe+Menu.htm

I don't specifically remember the Macademia Chicken, but I'm almost positive this menu is accurate and it's on there, so.... sorry I can't be sure!
Thank you I had't sen that menu before,it seems accurate according to some recent reviews and comments I had read.
Thanks again!!!!!!
:)

Thanks for the wonderful reviews!

Does the cheese soup at Le Cellier have a beer taste? I like to try the soup, but I don't like beer. Your review convinced me to try the filet.

I don't like beer and I didn't taste it all, really! It was delicious. Just kind of had a little "kick" to it I guess I'd say, but definitely not a beer taste just that extra "something" sort of taste. Hope that makes sense!

I won't / don't drink beer and never tasted any either. It was just a tiny bit salty, which was good for me. I love salt. It went perfectly with the bread.

Thanks for the reviews. Sorry you didn't care fore WCC. We were going to try it. You have me rethinking it.

WCC was definitely OK. It was good to try it once and the food was good. I just wasn't blown away by it (except for the cornbread) like I was the others. We have a similar BBQ restaurant here in Ohio with a skillet-type meal (not all you can eat) that I think is better, that's probably why. It definitely wasn't awful or anything though!
