DDE - How Long?

We ordered ours 2/26/05 for our May trip. They finally charged my credit card on 3/26/05. When should I have the card in hand? Anyone have a similar experience?

I ordered mine in early Feb and just received my card last week.

We ordered ours in mid Feb. are still haven't received our card as of yet.
We did get the voucher sent to us and used it with great success on our trip in March.
We decided to send an email today and ask where out card is and when to expect it.

I ordered my card on March 3 and my account was just charged last week... It will be interesting to see how long it takes to arrive. When you do get yours will you post it on the board???

I'm in the same spot. I ordered mine 3 days after you and haven't received it here in MA. I leave Sunday!

We ordered ours in mid-February and still have not received it. We did use the e-mail on our March trip and didn't have any problems. It seems to me that they are behind. We were told that it would take six weeks or less, but it has been over six weeks for us. We are not planning on using it again until August (unless I get a sudden urge to go back!! LOL!!!) so I'm sure it will arrive by then.

I ordered mine on 2/28. I have been charged and I got a letter from Disney saying that this letter is to serve as validation that we are current members. It asks them to check our ID's. I have not received a card. Am I going to get one?. I am not counting on it.....................

Swan, i think we all will receive our cards. this might have been one of those times disney under estimated how popular this program would be! it's coming--don't give up!

Can anyone tell me how long after they called to order their card until they received the confirmation email that can be used in lieu of the actual card? Also, do you need to provide an activated AP # or can a voucher # be used?

when i received my email, the virus scan found a virus; therefore, i could not open it. i did receive a confirmation in the mail however, per my request. anyway. as far as the email, it should arrive w/in the hour. if not, then call back. it is my understanding from the boards that a voucher number is adequate. good luck!

To answer your 1st question-I had to call to get my e-mail sent. I knew nothing about that until I was reading about it, thank good ness for the DIS boards, so I called a couple of weeks after ordering it, and I received the e-mail w/in 3 minutes of hanging up w/the CM.
To answer your 2nd question, you only need the voucher, as they ask for the # on the back of it.

I ordered my DDE today. The CM stated it would take approximately 8 weeks to receive it. She said at 5:30 today, I could pick up a temporary DDE at guest services at the entrance of Epcot. (I only wish I were there!!! ) I ordered mine using my AP exchange certificate. She stated that if my DDE did not come in the mail before my trip in May, that I could pick up my temporary card at the GS in Epcot when I arrive for my vacation. Also, my expiration date will be May 2006 I hope this helps!

It took 7 weeks total to receive mine. Once it was charged to my credit card (after 5 weeks) it was then an additional two weeks to actually receive it. I hope this helps!

Can anyone tell me if someone with an AP can get DDE and give it to someone else to use? Or give it as a gift? Does it expire or can someone who is back from WDW let someone else use it??
