DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Where are the beans?
Good spot there Chief. Yeah, not a fan, plus the carbs thing. Beans & Tomatoes over here tend to be an either/or deal.
You were doing good until you got to mushrooms.
To each his own Doc, to each his own. So, no cabbage, no mushrooms, no coffee. Or FB. Got it. Making a list in case I end up working at your house.

And, Monday finds us at the start of a juice diet. DW watched some snow on Netflix about how these people lost weight just drinking juice. I told her I could commit to bourbon.

Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Mushroom and Tomatoes. It generally also has toast, but we are low carb right now. Nothing to do with Cheeky bunk-ups.

You seem to be having a few of them mate, everything OK over there?
.

Sounds like a good breakfast. I do enjoy chicken fried chicken, biscuits n gravy, eggs, hash browns, grits, & bacon.

Sadly, my 2nd job is working with two women who have decided to sabotage me intentionally. It was a just a bad weekend. The boss witnessed it, but he won't do anything. It's good money for the work, so now I just decide how long I want the frustration. My initial plan was to run this thru until DW could retire in a decade or so. Now, I'm thinking the end of this year would meet financial goals and be time to split.

Where are the beans?

Fart jokes.
Beans n cornbread had a fight.
Beans blew cornbread out of sight.

Had some of the Knob Creek Disney Select while I was at DDCC, very good stuff!

::yes::

You were doing good until you got to mushrooms.

I like mushrooms. Good on pizza. Sautéed over steaks.

Hey gents. Had to put my foot down with Father in Law. We have him in emergency room now to get him admitted. Lots of things wrong and he just needs round the clock care home nurses have been great but not enough. Final straw was a fall last night and again this morning while I was there doing some stuff around their house. Found out fire department had been there a couple other times this week - ugh! So looks like we will have both him and MIL in hospital this week. Have a good weekend gents

Man, that's hard. Good luck, and I hope you'll be able to make wise decisions.

Good Sunday Morning Mike and Company! The talk of having to put an elderly love one in a care facility brought up memories of when we had to do that for my MIL. She lived in Phoenix AZ in her own house in an adult community. She was having trouble with her memory, forgetting things but nothing that was out of hand until she went missing. She had taken the car out for a drive one day and just didn't come home that night. They found her the next morning in the middle of the desert, where she had spent the night. She couldn't remember how she got there, what she said was she was driving to the mountains because they looked so pretty. When they took her to the hospital to check her out, they found she had gotten so upset during the night she suffered a small heart attack. She was didn't have any damage from it, but we used that reason to move her to a home with care. She never went back to her house. DW and her brother and sister closed down her house and it was sold, and we ended up moving her to a place near us in Maryland to live out her days.

After seeing what DW, BIL and SIL had to go through makes me pray that I recognize when it time for me to make that move and not put up a fight.

I fear that, too. It has to be hard to give up your independence.

Icing on the cake for me was seeing them win this game in their last year and having Declan get the chance to hold the plaque that is awarded to the winning team. The topping for me though is that each school gives and award in Mike's name each year and Declan won this award in his grade 10 season.

Sorry for going on but as you can probably tell I am an extremely proud dad right now.

Very cool. Congrats to Declan!

Sadly, my 2nd job is working with two women who have decided to sabotage me intentionally. It was a just a bad weekend.

Ugh. Sounds like a real joy.

Actually, it will be a long list...I'm a picky eater. I totally admit that. Give me a good steak or brisket or bacon, I'm good. Green stuff - not so much. ;)

Fungus - no. I don't mind the taste sometimes, its the texture.

So, if you come to work...
I'm a carnivore and a tea drinker. Simple!
:rotfl2:

Happy Sunday. Today was another miserable day, surrounded by sabotaging idiots. I'm staying home to hide tomorrow. Bad news - I finished off my Basil Hayden bourbon. Good news - I started Knob Creek bourbon.

Continued prayers for you.
I'm with Darcy, the Knob Creek Disney Select has been a must do for me on trips to DaWorld. Thanks for the continued support, Pops is not doing well.
Morning fellas.

Looks like a pattern emerging, beautiful weather but cold. I think the work thing is going to come to head next week, so let's see how it goes.
Best of luck Dan as I assume this is around you returning to the outside the home work world? Keep us posted.

Yea, what you said!

  2. Bourbon Diet = For Sure

Well that sounds like a plan I can get on board with. But what's this "occasional" nonsense?

Have a great time storming the castle mate, remember to post some pictures for us Disney Deprived Dads on here.
I said to practise your doffing, I never said you had to be good at it:lmao::lmao:
:rotfl:I'll make sure I get a few doffs in a day over the next week or so until you get back.

Top 3 Disney steak restaurants you’ve been to?
You know something, I had to think about it, but I only remember having steak at Disney once. Because $$$.
It was at Mama Melrose in DHS. Wasn’t too bad, but I have no doubt there are far better steaks around.

I think the only places I've had a steak at WDW is Le Cellier and Rose N Crown.

I'm a slow, mystery reveal that's worth the wait.

16 days is an awesome #. Never made it over 9 on vacation.

The church one? Well that sucks.
.

::yes:::furious: It's worse when you expect better from people.

A juicy tender rare steak. Fresh out of the pan frites. A pile of mushrooms. A blob of French mustard.

It doesn't really get any better than that.

::yes:: Is it a red wine with steak? No, bourbon.

So while Zmack’s getting ready chaps...
