I'm not a stock guru or anything, but every investment site/fund/stock specifically states past performance is no guarantee of future performance. While I agree it has historically done that, it's so overinflated now, it is only a matter of time. I'm also not a doomsday type person, but if you do investigation, there is no way it can maintain its current levels and it's been propped up so long by ghost money, it will fall. I can't predict exactly when, but it's not sustainable. Ever since the bear market (crash in 2008), it's been this way.
Dave Ramsey said it. That's good enough for me. I've followed his investment strategy and it has worked out extremely well. And, that last crash we had in 2008, I think it was 2 years to break even and three more after that the money doubled from what was there in 2008 before the crash? I may have been off on those specifics there, but the ones who took it out at the bottom really lost everything because they missed out on the recovery.
