DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
I have one of those electric ice cream makers. Made a few batches over the years. It is time consuming and expensive for all the ingredients, but it tastes great. DW said she had a hand crank one as a child.
Yeah, we walked past the $3 quarts of ice cream to get to the $8 worth of ingredients it took to make one batch. But it's fun and tastes great, so it's worth making some every once in a while. Ours is the kind where you freeze the bucket. When I was a kid we had the electric kind where you had to keep adding ice and salt while it spins.
DS was so happy when he got to lick the paddle though. That was always my favorite part.

That's a great pic Bud, enjoy the vacation
We arrived in Sydney Sunday am local time and did have the day to take in some sights and force myself to stay awake. Other than that no vacation here all business 12 hour days and planes, trains and automobiles .

:lmao: I'd be rooting her on!

She doesn't need any more encouragement. Thankfully, she was driving home and not drinking. If she had been, then i probably wouldn't be able to sit right now. It's both :lmao: and :scared1: at the same time.

That's the one I have. Make the cream mixture and chill the bucket in the fridge. Then, insert the thing and plug into the motor, and add layers of rock salt and ice, while the canister spins. I've done strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, peach, and Oreo. It's been awhile since I've made it. I need to break it out this summer.

'Morning all...

Zzzzzzzz, Zzzzzz... ,cough. Wha?
Wait did somebody say something?
No?

Oh crud, it's still just Wednesday.

Hummmm...
Will have to point that out to the Mrs when she get home this evening.

Things are looking up.

Hey Guys! Hope all had a great 4th and the guys up north enjoyed Canada Day. We survived the weekend with all of our fingers and toes. DS is half way through his mission to Mississippi. Got a call from him this morning and it's supposed to be around 110 degrees today. Mostly visiting some historical sites so no outdoor work which is good.

Working all week, unlike Norm, even though I have a ton of vacation that needs to be taken. Year end is never a fun time around here. Looking at heading to NY in the coming weeks to catch a show and visit the 911 memorial.

Enjoy the balance of your week. Only 6 more months to DDCC.

Heat index is 107 today. Have a lot of crap to do around the yard so I don't want to spontaneous combust.

If you could video and post it, I would greatly appreciate the effort. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Kissing day and hump day at the same time. Should get interesting.;)

Happy Wednesday, Hump Day, Kissing Day, or whatever other Hallmark day. Still busy on my vacation. Drove my oldest to/from swim practice, youngest to tennis (still have to pick her up), cut the grass, have oldest orthodontist appointment this afternoon, and tennis tonite. But, I get to enjoy my vacation time hanging out with you guys. :sad1:

Shouldn't that be two camels kissing since it is hump day? :lmao:

But it's 5 o'clock somewhere.

Pirate. Drink anytime. :drinking1

.;)

But, I don't get to do a bunch of cool stuff on my vacation time. Hope your DS stays cool in Mississippi. It's only supposed to get to 90 today, but here in the Ohio Valley, we are already at 75% humidity, where I can sweat thru a shirt in about 10 minutes.:eek:

Afternoon folks.
Crap. Worked a midnight... got to sleep as much as I want.... and I'm up at 1.
Oh, well. I'll catch up tonight.

If you want me to kiss you, you're going to have to fly here first.

Got a call from him this morning and it's supposed to be around 110 degrees today.

Eep! Nope. One more degree before everything catches on fire, right?
