It seems like I'm always late for the best disasters.
Proper conservation of energy.I would post a picture of our snow, but well... it's 52 degrees outside, and I'd have to put shoes on to go out and take a picture.
Wow! Beautiful picture!!Proper conservation of energy.
Good to see that you're paying proper respect to the laws of physics.
Here's pretty a shot from Downtown Charlotte...

We got far more ice with barely a dusting of actual snow.
It makes everything glisten right nice, but driving on it is just plain foolish (4x4 or no)
On the up side, it should warm up enough 'round here to melt the bulk of it off the roads by game time tomorrow.
I thought it was Snowmageddon Part 2, The Marshmallow Strikes Back??

WHAT ??? Did someone say old ???? Sorry, couldn't hear ya, dropped my ear trumpet.
I may be old, but I'm not the oldest. Lol
Happy New Year everyone, hope everyone is doing well and hope everyone makes it through the blizzard safely. ( except for fed, hope he get a sunburn on his &$@ while fishing lol)
Take care you young whipper stapers !!
Here's hoping the Panthers get crushed tomorrow!!
(Who Dat!)
I am currently sitting in my boat in a residential canal off the St Johns River with the propane heate going trying to warm up. My rod guides froze this morning!
Snow is letting up and waiting on the final total. Should be around 18". Week of flooding to come.
Obviously not a fan, I take it...
Quite understandable.
Ugh that's not good. This storm is something else
Ice here too gonna take another day or two for side roads to be passable. Good luck to your Panthers tomorrow.Proper conservation of energy.

Official tally was 8" of snow.
Just measured 34", don't know the official yet...
I mean, with those guys in the club, I figured there must be some pretty high membership standards!
Hello gents! Another new guy here, although a couple of you may have noticed me post on your TR before. I thought about becoming a DIS Dad for a while, mostly to get one of those shiny numbers that @pkondz and @afwdwfan are always flashing around. I mean, with those guys in the club, I figured there must be some pretty high membership standards! But I mustered up the courage and was brave enough to take the plunge. Drinks all around! What's the drink of choice around here? Beer and bourbon it seems. If I admit I like spiced rum does that disqualify me? Hmmm...how about if I admit I like princesses? Am I back in?
Anyway, on to the serious stuff, I'll tell you a little about myself. I grew up on Disney movies and TV shows. My first and only trip to the World as a child was in 1983. I think the bug hit on that very trip, but it was many years later before I returned, once I had found my princess (DW) and my step-DD (now almost 16). The three of us took our first trip on 2008. We were soon joined by another little lady, my DD who is now 8, and the four of us have had three trips to WDW since. We like to go about every 18 months, but for various reasons we don't have anything planned right now.
I live in Newfoundland, Canada. If you've never heard of it, look for it on Google maps (it is a real place, I promise). And if any of you are trying to pronounce it to yourself right now, do me a favour (yes, Canadian spelling - get used to it) and say it right, it's "Newfoundland, understand", as in rhymes with.
I travel a lot with work, so keeping up with disboards helps pass the time. Hopefully I'll be able to get to know some of you a little better. Looking forward to being part of the club!
Welcome, always good to have another Atlantic Canadian on board. By the way, did you bring the cod and Screech for these guys?

Official tally was 8" of snow. Shoveled the aggregate driveway with DS today. Major PITA due to steep angle of driveway - a couple of Aleve and a cold beer.
.
Found this for all my eastern, snow bound DISdads.
It's an article on how Japan deals with heavy snow falls.
