DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
I have zero clue as to Eagles fans reputation. No idea if this is sarcasm, truth, or an outright lie.
A little bit of all of those things.

If you polled sports fans across the U.S. and asked which city has the worst fans in the country, Philadelphia would routinely come out on top. Some of this is based on truth--there have been some instances of very ugly behavior. Much is based on exaggeration. The fans are passionate about their teams and care about winning, and will boo their own teams if they are playing poorly. Opposing fans have been the subject of some terrible behavior. But opposing fans have also instigated a lot of those incidents. 99% of them can wear their team's gear, put up with some good-natured heckling, and have a great time.

Some of it is also selective memory. For whatever reason, other cities' fans do egregious things (like Dodgers fans throwing bottles on the field during the playoffs this year) and it's forgotten by the next day. Meanwhile we get chastised for booing Santa Claus 50 years ago. (It was a drunk guy who was thrown into a Santa costume in a poorly run halftime show during a year when the Eagles won 2 games).

Bottom line, there are terrible fans in every city. Most would say they do not represent the city at large.

Naaaaa...
If they'd 'ev lost, y'all would'ev spray painted a few signs, knocked over some traffic signals and set fire to a dumpster or two.

But since they won, it ended up being a few extra spray painted items, some knocked over traffic signals and a few dumpster fires.

So, as usual, we already know what we're getting.
Looked like a pretty joyous celebration to me!

Easy...
I'll be ignoring the "Hallmark Holiday" completely (I have to work anyway), and take her out again next week to one of our better spots with a beforehand stopover at the local speakeasy.

(weather I'm doing any of this for her benefit or mine is a point we can discuss philosophically at length if need be)
If you marry someone who likes the same stuff as you, you never have to worry about that question!

They grease the light poles in Philly, and the Mayor had to come on TV and plead with the city not to climb the light poles :laughing:

I remember last year Philly fans booed Dak Prescot while he was being awarded the man of the year trophy, not a few like the whole stadium.... LOL

Really!

This sounds like the beginning of Miracle on 34th St. (the original)

These dirt bags threw snow balls at Santa Claus. That should cover it. Lol

Hey fellas! Hope all are well. Things are about the same here in the land of Cape Cod. Not sure if I mentioned this, but I did bring up the idea of going back to Disney for a DosDad’s Convention. My DW was on board with it, but she’s taking a trip to Ireland with my DD and DMiL in June and we also need to go see my folks in New Mexico at some point. Im thinking that by the time I’m ready for that trip it’ll wind up being a family trip…if we can afford it.

We've been talking about visiting WDW for our family vacation this summer. My youngest son (age 11) wasn't tall enough for all of the rides last time we visited, so we feel like we owe him that experience. But man...pricing this out for a family of 6 is not for the faint of heart. We're debating staying off-site for the first time in our family's history, just because the costs have become so exorbitant.

The costs for one person are exorbitant...

You sure all those kids are yours?
