DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
'Morning all...
Hope all y'all enjoyed the weekend, that the right teams won and that all the drinks were perfectly chilled.

I've got "seagulls" to deal with for the next couple of days. Big-Wigs from the main office will be on site for the next few and worse, they'll be camping in the office and conference room right beside my desk.

That's going to be supremely annoying...

For the most part, sure.

that the right teams won

This never happens in my world.

and that all the drinks were perfectly chilled.

2 out of 3 ain't bad, right?

We'll consider it a win if they don't poop all over your office.

Think of it as an opportunity.
How annoying can you be without getting in trouble? Gotta use that electric pencil sharpener every few minutes? Like to groan really loudly when you stretch? And you stretch a lot? Have a really really loud laugh? Tendency to bang doors? etc

:rotfl2: Seems like a good week for a lot of Mexican food for lunch.

ut ya know what, all the other stuff is what's important,
Its important to keep priorities straight.
counting the years until I reach Randall status :rotfl2:
Arn't we all buddy
I've got "seagulls" to deal with for the next couple of days.
Sounds like you are gonna need car cover for your desk. Or pull the old *cough cough* not feeling good today boss. Gonna go get a covid test and sit at home till results come back just incase.

Can't argue with "Meatloaf Logic", my friend.

Do they nick your chips as like our ones do?

I think we should all club together for a Taco Bell voucher and a webcam.
I'd pay top dollar for that.
That sounds like it could get ugly quick.
But amazingly, the chicks got hotter. Who knew?

Going in for my last meeting today chaps, let's hope it's a short one.

We'll consider it a win if they don't poop all over your office.
Well, by definition, that's a virtually unavoidable outcome.

How annoying can you be without getting in trouble?
While I generally approve of this battle plan, I actually have minimal leeway on that threshold. I need the work and they still ain't so certain that the need me.

:rotfl2: Seems like a good week for a lot of Mexican food for lunch.
Another good plan...
Dang shame I don't get to partake much in the midday meal department any more. Don't really have the extra cash necessary for purchasing meals out during the week either, but that's a separate issue.

Like that one too...
'Sept for that whole lack of leeway problem that shut down the other plans.

Do they nick your chips as like our ones do?
Guaranteed...
They even set out "free" snacks in the breakroom so that the Mucky-Mucks could have some nibbles available. Not something that gets done for the folks that actually work in the building. (But then again, it's all stuff I really can't eat anyway, so they can have it.)

Morning, Gents! Missed posting yesterday due to a computer updated that took longer than anticipated. Spent the day making phone calls again, and will do that again today. Outside that, all's well on my end.

Had to add (something I forgot to mention):
So while I was at Pulmonology on Monday, I was the only person at the front desk, I do all the Check-ins and Check-outs. I had this older lady come, she was around 75 and vibrant/energetic. Basically she kept herself in shape. During the process of checking her in, I have to ask the COVID questions: "Have you been vaccinated against COVID. If not, I have a series of questions to ask them. I asked her the questions and she said that she was healthy, but we'll see what the doctor says. She then comes out and here's the exchange:

Lady: "Well, the doctor says I'm healthy."
Me: "Oh he did, did he? Well, then, let me check you out." (in a playful way)
Lady: "Oh, sweetie, you can check me out. You're cute. If I were 20 years younger..."
Me: "Why thank you." I admit I was caught off guard by that, but I rebounded quickly.

We then continued talking and wound up talking about how my DD, at 8 years old, knows who Danny Kaye is. We then finished up and she went on her way. So a 75 year old woman flirted with me. I admit I was a little flattered, but at the same time. Ew!

No we don’t…
I don’t wanna!
But I dont wanna.

Ok, you don't have to, but if you went into the office I hope you at least wore something over your tighty whitey's.

Morning guys, from another low 80s scorcher in the mother country. Big boy pants free here, I have some Disney shorts on, as I am still working from home in the garden.

:thumbsup2

I feel much more alive as I did yesterday, as we did a bit of a "supersize me" rule over the drinking weekend which were:
You were never allowed to refuse a drink if the server came up an offered
If there was a "2 for 1" cocktail offer you had to take it, no sharing.

That's a lot of drinking. Wow.

Wow. I think I'd be dead.

That'd be two of us.

Up here on the pulmonology floor, there are many patient who are obese or current/ former smokers. Yet, we still treat them. It is sad.

I've not seen a lot of obese patient's at the Pulmonology I've worked at, but a lot who are/were smokers. That's it, you have to treat them, but you just wish they'd make better decisions. I'm sure some of the decisions I've made in life will come back to haunt me later in life. We'll see.

I've got "seagulls" to deal with for the next couple of days. Big-Wigs from the main office will be on site for the next few and worse, they'll be camping in the office and conference room right beside my desk.

Definitely Mexican food...with lots of beans. Mmmm beans. Think "Blazing Saddles" bean eating/farting scene.

Its second Monday already around here. Can only go up from here.

Well that sucks. Hope your day gets better.

Hunker down, soldier.
Yeah...
Well remember, you get tossed out the door, your family still gets healthcare. Among other things.

Again, great idea. Except...
They'll just close the doors to those offices and conference rooms that their entitled to. I'll just be punishing all the rest of the folks I actually work with out here in the barnyard.

Classic film though; may have to watch that to lift the spirits a mite.
