Morning, Gents! Missed posting yesterday due to a computer updated that took longer than anticipated. Spent the day making phone calls again, and will do that again today. Outside that, all's well on my end.
Had to add (something I forgot to mention):
So while I was at Pulmonology on Monday, I was the only person at the front desk, I do all the Check-ins and Check-outs. I had this older lady come, she was around 75 and vibrant/energetic. Basically she kept herself in shape. During the process of checking her in, I have to ask the COVID questions: "Have you been vaccinated against COVID. If not, I have a series of questions to ask them. I asked her the questions and she said that she was healthy, but we'll see what the doctor says. She then comes out and here's the exchange:
Lady: "Well, the doctor says I'm healthy."
Me: "Oh he did, did he? Well, then, let me check you out." (in a playful way)
Lady: "Oh, sweetie, you can check me out. You're cute. If I were 20 years younger..."
Me: "Why thank you." I admit I was caught off guard by that, but I rebounded quickly.
We then continued talking and wound up talking about how my DD, at 8 years old, knows who Danny Kaye is. We then finished up and she went on her way. So a 75 year old woman flirted with me. I admit I was a little flattered, but at the same time. Ew!
Ok, you don't have to, but if you went into the office I hope you at least wore something over your tighty whitey's.
Morning guys, from another low 80s scorcher in the mother country. Big boy pants free here, I have some Disney shorts on, as I am still working from home in the garden.
I feel much more alive as I did yesterday, as we did a bit of a "supersize me" rule over the drinking weekend which were:
You were never allowed to refuse a drink if the server came up an offered
If there was a "2 for 1" cocktail offer you had to take it, no sharing.
That's a lot of drinking. Wow.
Wow. I think I'd be dead.
That'd be two of us.
Up here on the pulmonology floor, there are many patient who are obese or current/ former smokers. Yet, we still treat them. It is sad.
I've not seen a lot of obese patient's at the Pulmonology I've worked at, but a lot who are/were smokers. That's it, you have to treat them, but you just wish they'd make better decisions. I'm sure some of the decisions I've made in life will come back to haunt me later in life. We'll see.
I've got "seagulls" to deal with for the next couple of days. Big-Wigs from the main office will be on site for the next few and worse, they'll be camping in the office and conference room right beside my desk.
Think of it as an opportunity.
How annoying can you be without getting in trouble? Gotta use that electric pencil sharpener every few minutes? Like to groan really loudly when you stretch? And you stretch a lot? Have a really really loud laugh? Tendency to bang doors? etc
Seems like a good week for a lot of Mexican food for lunch.
Definitely Mexican food...with lots of beans. Mmmm beans. Think "Blazing Saddles" bean eating/farting scene.
Its second Monday already around here. Can only go up from here.
Well that sucks. Hope your day gets better.
