Thanks for all the well wishes guys, the families seem to doing well. I imagine their will still some tough days ahead. The service was nice but the pastor left a bit to be desired. He wasn't very comforting or uplifting.

Always had a soft spot for the Hawks. They shared a AHL farm team with the Maple Leafs in my hometown back in the early 80s. Still remember the night they won the Calder Cup. Watched guys like Steve Larmer, Daryl Sutter and Steve Ludzik get their starts.

One of my uncles made it partway through the Blackhawks farm system back when it was still the Original Six

Just put the money in your mailbox and I will swing buy and pick it up.

I think the idea was for you to put the money in the mailbox.

If that happens, it'll be the one we'll buy into next, if we don't add points to our BLT ownership in the next few years...

GF starts at $145 for current members and goes up to $160 in June for everyone else. For a 50 point contract, that's close $8000 (with closing costs). I don't understand how DVC will continue to survive with these inflated prices. Once the Poly builds its DVC, it will be closer to $175/$200 per point. But, they are way smart, so I guess I will just stay along for the ride.

Cool, what did they use for a farm system back then?

No idea, I know it used to be a system right down to AA or whatever those levels were. Didn't get too far, it was either injury or just not good enough, so he went into firefighting instead. Any athletic proneness in family comes from my moms side I think

Apparently not impressed with the fireworks put on by everyone, Mother Nature moved in with one of her own. Just as things looked to be winding down, a breeze picked up andthe first signs of a storm arrived. So far, lightning and Thunder, and a smattering of rain (and can still see the odd firework in the distance!)

Both Brians..: Awesome pics on FB of the day, looked like a lot of fun...!

Continued prayers to the people of Oklahoma.

Thanks... :thumbsup2

I don't use FB alot... have to start a little bit more. :)

Just getting settled back in after an unexpected 3 day weekend. Was getting ready for work yesterday morning when my 13 month old tripped on a dining room chair. He used his face to break his fall, which is never a good idea. Blood all over, and I couldn't tell if it was his chin, a tooth, tongue, etc. To make matters worse, he was eating a raspberry at the time so I couldn't tell if the stuff in his mouth was chewed raspberry or a bloody, mangled tongue. Luckily it was just berry and the only blood source was a gash on his chin. DW took him to the ER while I got the other kids off to school. I met them at the hospital, only to find that they were still in the waiting room because the place was full. After over two hours of waiting, he got his stitches and we were on our way. I didn't want to send him to daycare, so I stayed home with him. A three hour nap around lunch time, and he was back to his normal, daredevil self.

Poor Ryder... glad it wasn't worse!

What a dad, staying home for the day to be with his son. :thumbsup2

Just my 2 cents, but I think those prices will only hold up as long as interest rates stay low. The majority of owners finance, so it will become too expensive once rates rise. When that happens, I think you'll see the sales of new properties slow, and resale prices drop (which is why DVC proactively instituted the changes to benefits on resales contracts last year). DVC is charging as much as possible now to take advantage of those rates, imo.

Though, they may never sell all of the AKV contracts they have... :rotfl2:

Saw something interesting today - Duck Bacon:confused3, I never had duck but I might try it

Good morning, last work day of the week :cool1:

On the DVC topic, if I buy a resale (AKL would be first choice) I won't have the same benefits as those that bought direct from Disney?

Briana is having a blast. Riding there bus system, eating at the Contempo lol.
