Evening Guys,

all packed and ready to head back to Orlando early in the morning. :cool1:

Coached DS in his first volleyball game today. We lost 3-2 but the other team was using a rule modification that allowed them to use a catch on the second contact. I was impressed with DS's play, he had 3 blocks and a couple of kills during the match. I guess watching me run practices for years rubbed off on him a bit. It also helps that he is 5'9" in grade 6.

Congrats on a successful first game for Declan! Rule modification? Sounds like cheating to me.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Way to go Declan!

Have a safe trip!

It's all about trying to teach kids how to run an offence and have a second contact that could be attacked. It isn't a bad modification just one that I try not to use other than to teach in practice.

Evening gentlemen. Cabin fever has hit the kids hard so I haven't been on much lately. Both kids got two room time outs before breakfast this morning. Congrats to all, prayers to those who need them and bacon for all.

Have a good trip Darcy and tell DS to keep up the good work.

I won 2 tickets last year at a gift auction for any concert at PNC Center for 2013, well it looks like we are going to see Train, a week before we go to WDW if that is unavailable my wife wants to see Matchbox 20, 2 days after we get back from WDW:eek:

At last years closing day for The Blueclaws Baseball, I bought 10 tickets for opening day for $1 a ticket, opening day is 4/4 besides ourselves we are bringing 2 or 3 of my sons friends and some of their parents:thumbsup2

Everytime I buy or win something that is far in advance or not knowing for sure what you will actually see, is kinda exciting seeing how it all pans out, mostly it's the wait that gets you, it usually turns out to be a fun time:thumbsup2

Just saw the Magic Kingdom was at Phase 3 closure (only admitting Annual Passholders, Disney Resort Guests, and people with ADRs). Checked the My Disney Experience App for wait times:
Big Thunder 70 mins
Buzz Lightyear 95 mins
Dumbo 105 mins
Enchanted Tales with Belle 80 mins
Haunted Mansion 90 mins
Small World 70 mins
Jungle Cruise 65 mins
Tea Cups 35 mins
Peter Pan 95 mins
Space Mtn 120 mins
Barnstormer 80 mins
Under the Sea 70 mins
Carousel of Progress 5 mins. <-no, that's not a typo. It's a FIVE MINUTE WAIT for Carousel of Progress

Kind of glad to be sitting at my desk wishing I was at Disney World instead of actually at Disney World right now.

Normally, I'd always rather be in WDW. Not based on this.

:mad::mad::mad::mad::headache::headache::headache::headache::headache:

Peanut Butter. Beverly. Beverly. Peanut Butter.

And a whole bunch of stuff I can't say without being banned.

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Water in garage...

I was going to make the boat or fishing reference, but I was beaten to it.

However...

Two hydrogen and an oxygen.

This one wins. Kudos, Mr. Rafiki

And, Monsters Inc is on at the moment. We watch that one a lot.

I'm ready to head back to the world.

Hey guys, this may be off topic, but just a quick heads up.

If you, or anyone you know, is driving down to Disney for a Spring Break.

The Florida Highway Patrol is currently running a "Zero Tolerance" operation on I 95, I 75, I 4 and the Turnpike.

Seriously, they are not playing. They "might" give you ten over....they "might" not.

On the way to work this morning I was passed by Three Minivans (yes, Barry, I said minivans). One from Connecticut, one from New Jersey and one from Maryland. All of them moving over 80 mph (I admit I was shocked and had to double check my speed to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing:lmao:)

The reason I was "passed" by them is that they were headed into what is locally known as a "Florida Highway Patrol Nesting Area". I had sense to slow down and not rile them up---no need to kick the fireant bed.

Sure enough, all three of them were pulled over about two miles up the road.

I tried to warn them, but if an unmarked Charger with blacked out windows and multiple LEDs can't slow you down---a trooper will happily oblige "up the road".

Fair warning.
And I thought my BIL was the only man to EVER get pulled over in a minivan!:lmao:

‘Morning all…
Only half a day of suffering ahead of me; the afternoon will be spent away from work. DW is celebrating a birthday today so that’s a good thing, but…
It’s one of those that ends in a zero, aaaaaaannnnnnd that’s a bad thing.

A lot of extra spoiling in on the agenda.
Oh, and we officially booked a late June trip back to The World :woohoo:
So that is helping with the birthday blues.
(now I just need to go ahead and add a ticker back into my sig for the first time in a long while)

In the mean time, let’s see if I can catch up a bit
(as opposed to actually working that is)…
I hate the Bdays where the women fret. And MY DW wants to treat her Bday like she's an 8 year old girl. So there is the perpetual battle over the celebration and the depression!

just wanted to pass this along

AKA additional opportunity to show my ineptitude.

That is CRAZY! I've never seen that before.

Has anyone been to the Flower and Garden show at EPCOT? Thinking of heading over later this week but I need to convince FIL to go. He does like to garden so I have that to build on.
We have been there a few time unintentionally. They do a really nice job with it. The flora built to be Disney characters are super cool.

Well of course. It takes 5 minutes for the next empty theater to revolve around. :rolleyes1

The one that got my attention was the Teacups. 35 minutes for a 35 second ride. No thanks.
And the accompanied vertigo and nausea. The Teacups is a yearly battle for me.

Panda's in Paradise?
Weasels in the world!

Evening all…
Had a fine afternoon with the Lady of the House (or is that Master of the House?)…
I commonly refer to my DW as "the other boss." My DDs tell me I'm the boss when mom's not home.

Hello guys, I know that it has been a long time. I have lerked now and then and have enjoyed reading but have not checked in. Out family is returning to WDW again this year although we were not supposed to. Just can't miss it. We r doing a first and bringing our new (to us) camper down and staying on sight. We have driven down many times but not combined our love for camping with WDW.
We leave the second the kids are out of school on the 12th. We told the kids by calibrating DALMATIAN DAY.
Awesome! Hope you have a blast My friends drove their RV down from Pittsburgh and stayed at Fort Wilderness and LOVED it. They stayed at POL last time and wished they had stayed at Fort Wilderness!

Who hacked Dave's account? That post wasn't written in Zerfonics.

Good morning fellow dads, hope all is well, DD has been doing great lately, I know this will sound bad but I think she has finally come to terms about her mom not being around. Last week she Skyped with her older sister, aunt and grandmother who live in GA and normally she would be sad after they were done and misbehave the next day but this time she was very happy and sweet, and didn't ask me questions about her mom. It's hard not to have mixed feelings about it but overall she is happy and healthy and looking forward to our Hollywood FL beach trip at the end of April. So close to WDW yet so far

Also will be on this weekends DisDad podcast with Aaron and my Nemi Nate, looking forward to it

Hey Philip, :wave2: Glad to hear DD is adjusting and doing well. Just keep remembering it's all about the kids and making sure they are well.

My wife's uncle lives in Hollywood, FL so we have been there a few times. About 4.5 hours from the World. It's been hot and sunny according to them. I'll try to listen in on the podcast. Have fun!

Thanks guys, main reason I have been away from the boards so much was to focus on her, it's nearly been 2 years since I got full custody and almost a year since she's seen her mom. She's everything to me and she doesn't deserve how things happened but she has adjusted well, she's even looking forward to starting school in Aug.

I can see that there’d be mixed emotions here, but it’s good to hear the she’s healing. Tough situation all around.

Not many folks travel specifically to Hollywood Fla. Ft Lauderdale… Miami… more likely, but not usually to the city in between. We lived in that part of Broward back when I was in Elementary and Jr.High school. Lord that was a long time ago. Doubt I’d even recognize the place now.

Must be time for a run on “Trap” jokes.
It’s been a while. :lmao:
