The wife actually agreed to the bounce back! Right now booked at French Quarter with 7 day park hopper(WP&M) and food. Have option to change resorts and are trying to decide. Ressie booking date is in Feb. and already checked flight points and will have enough for the flight.

I haven't played that one yet for the dds. They enjoy listening to me on the podcast, but just not live when I tell them to do something. Sorry to hear you got poked too much the wrong way.

And as a follow up, the BIL that had the massive heart attack on Monday passed away yesterday afternoon. Besides the blocked arteries to the heart, there wasn't much else working to keep him alive. A lifetime of abuse tends to do that to a body.

Prayers for him and his family.

If my wife heard me say that and I was on the edge of the abyss, she would be the first one to push me into the abyss.

You'll find me there with you as well. The only saving grace I have is that DW doesn't want to be alone with the children.

9 years is not too far off. I have at least twice that and no pension. have to rely on the 401K and savings as by the social security will be useless.

Social security will be there, just not as much. I'm hoping my retirement will last me 10 years until I can draw on my 401K.

Re Retirement Plan: The wife is bang alongside going down there. She'd like to work at Disney too, answering the phone and helping people plan their trips. She does that now for people in the office..

Oh, I forgot about the grey stuff, yeah, it is delicious. We ate there for our anniversary back in May and they brought some out for us. I'm suprised since i sort of embarassed the CM server. When she came to the table she said the obligatory "Bon Jour" to which i replied "Bon Jour, Comment allez vous" and she just gave me a blank stare. Guess the 'french' waitresses aren't so 'french'

Maybe it was your accent. I took French class, but it wasn't very smart given our migrant program. I should have taken Spanish.

I am sitting here this morning and having to make a rough choice. Do I go salmon fishing for a week in oct with my buddies? Or do I take a 4 day trip to Disney in Nov?

I have been doing the salmon trip for some 14 yrs but have missed the last 3.
Never been to Disney with just the wife.
Salmon trip costs $400 a man which includes room,food,and beer for the week
Disney cost $600 just for airfare.
Salmon trip I will be with the group of guys again.
Disney it will be alone time with the wife.

oh what to do????

Back from our trip. Will try to get to a trip report as soon as possible. Looks like I'm about 20 pages behind now. Prayers to those in need, congrats and happy birthdays to all deserving and welcome to any new guys.

Had a great week in WDW. Met up with Brent and Cliff (pics to come) and will be playing catch up here at work or the next 3 weeks. I came back to stacks of boxes, mail and things to do. Only 687 emails to get through.

Welcome back and glad ya had a great time. Great meet up pics and nicely done on the turnaround.

Of course, whats missing from the WDW vs Salmon fishing discussion is the wife's preference. Talk about the 600lb gorilla in the room.

As others have pointed out, I know I'm late, not sure "wife" and "600lb" should be used on the same page let alone same sentence

Five hours and 32 minutes to be exact. The pre-game shows start at 1:00 on ESPNU. Clients informed I have checked out until Tuesday, snacks and beverages are at the ready, phone is on Do Not Disturb and the batteries on the remote were replaced. Florida plays Toledo (yea, I know but they did have 9 wins last year) at noon on Saturday. Can't wait.

I was all for the Nov trip !!!!! even though it costs 4 times more. But then I found out we will be going in april,may or june with the school band.So that will really be a couples trip with my wife.

Congratulations to Briana! We looked for her last week and I asked around, but she wasn't working while we were in the park I guess. Sorry we missed her, DD wanted to take her picture with her as she is now planning her employment with the mouse.

theres no way you will just happen upon her with out knowing where to look on that day. even then its hard to find her. I walked by her twice and didn't know it was her. most cms, even if they know her and know where shes working wont tell you. they have no idea who you are or why your looking for her. she was in the hub the night you were at the mk with brent. I had no way of getting a hold of you.

Tomorrow is our last day, going to close out MK. But it closes at 9 so it shouldn't be hard to do. We actually had two days with zero rain forecasted and sure enough it has been rainless for the ADR two. Time for some sleep!

Happy Friday all! I may actually head into the doc in a box (Urgent care), my hand is still hurting from where I fell a 2 weeks ago while jogging. The pain is now in the top of my left hand, including the two smallest fingers. I can really tell when I reach for something or have to bend my hand/wrist in some odd direction.

Why yes, you do get drenched in the rain this time of year...after all, it's only rained 3 out of 4 days this summer, and we're about 34 inches over normal---which is good considering the drought we've been in the past few years.

It's too hot for slipping off boat trailers right now...it would feel too good...you have to wait for the dead of winter to do that.
