‘Morning all…
Well, Football has begun!
It didn’t start off very well from my point of view (nor is it likely to get much better)…
But it did start.

By the way…
Anyone heard from Andy recently?
I’m starting to miss the abuse.

And as a follow up, the BIL that had the massive heart attack on Monday passed away yesterday afternoon. Besides the blocked arteries to the heart, there wasn't much else working to keep him alive. A lifetime of abuse tends to do that to a body.
Not good…
Sorry to hear that. Prayers are offered up for everyone.

9 years is not too far off. I have at least twice that and no pension. have to rely on the 401K and savings as by the social security will be useless.
Sounds about right. Except that it’s an 11 year wait.
Oh, who am I kidding… I can’t “retire”. That got taken away from me long ago.

Morning guys. TGIF

I'm leaving early this morning, got called in to the doc's office for a 2nd round of blood work :confused3. Fingers crossed.

Consider them crossed.

Good Luck David!

Happy Friday all! I may actually head into the doc in a box (Urgent care), my hand is still hurting from where I fell a 2 weeks ago while jogging. The pain is now in the top of my left hand, including the two smallest fingers. I can really tell when I reach for something or have to bend my hand/wrist in some odd direction.

Matt

May that also turn out to be no big problem.

:thumbsup2<---------------------You know that ain't a thumb...:lmao:

(I had a much more, ahem, effective smiley, but thought the better of it at the last minute...:littleangel:)
:lmao:

“Thought the better of it”?
I don’t know… discursion doesn’t seem to suit you.

And maybe there's your answer. :lmao:

I do know your Facebook friend would love to see you and meet your wife.

I would agree. And as I've stated, Randall and I are having dinner at Biergarten with our better halves in Nov, we could easily add 2 to the reservation...:confused3

ALERTS TO THREATS
IN 2013 EUROPE

From JOHN CLEESE

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events in Syria and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the *******s." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France 's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.

Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."

The Germans have increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose."

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels ..

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

Australia, meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be right, Mate." Two more escalation levels remain: "Crikey! I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!" and "The barbie is cancelled." So far no situation has ever warranted use of the last final escalation level.

And as a final thought - Greece is collapsing, the Iranians are getting aggressive, and Rome is in disarray. Welcome back to 430 BC.

Life is too short...

Dad' thoughts on this:

Would a one stop flight in Mid December going to WDW from Denver make since saving us $50 per person or would you elect for the non-stop?

The flight would change planes in KC with an hour layover making the total flight over 5 hours.

Hope this thought isn't getting to you too late, I'm just catching up a bit. I don't know how familiar you are with the KC airport, but its layout is rather unique. As long as you're not changing airlines, an hour layover should be cake. They also do a good job of keeping the airport operating, even in bad weather. Most of the time, if there are delays, the delays are the result of planes being held up at other airports. Also, if you're looking at SWA flights, there are a pretty good number of flights from KC to Orlando on SWA each day. So even if you missed a connection, as long as it's not too late in the day, there are still multiple chances to continue on to Orlando (though it would slow you down considerably, and probably entail another stop). Last I checked, we were still running two nonstops/day from KC to Orlando on SWA, with about a half dozen flights with one stop along the way there.

Man it's hard to keep up with just a phone. Just finished doing most of the packing, finish the rest tonight. Today was a park less day, and we all ended up having a three hour nap. Tomorrow is our last day, going to close out MK. But it closes at 9 so it shouldn't be hard to do. We actually had two days with zero rain forecasted and sure enough it has been rainless for the ADR two. Time for some sleep!

Enjoy your last day at MK and travel safe!

Morning guys,

Thoroughly enjoyed yesterday sitting on the couch in front of the tube. Despite the lightning delay, the Carolina/Carolina game was a good one. The Ole Miss/Vandy final was amazing. That is unless you are a Vandy fan. Can't wait until tomorrow.

"Doctor it hurts when I do this." "Well, don't do that." Seriously, hope it gets better. Get it checked out.

My condolences. I just saw that the Marlins have been mathematically eliminated from post-season contention. Tough break.

Happy Friday guys!

You want to know what is not a good start to your morning? Stepping on a Disney Pin that doesn't have a back on it. It's amazing that I was able to internalize my yell and not wake the rest of the family. My girls have some cleaning to do this weekend!

I think that Patch is great.

Good morning Dads! The extended weekend is upon us, so all enjoy the family, football Saturday and safe travels for anyone hitting the roads this weekend including DD and her roommate driving home today :cool1:

don't anyone feel obligated to hunt down briana when you guys go down on your vacations. you will most likely spend a lot of time and she may be in the tunnels on her break or if the cart is slow and not making money, they close the cart. they can move her around. like today, she traded her shift today so she could go to ft.lauderdale beach with her friends.

if you find her great, she looking forward to meeting dads but its real hard to find her.
Guess we lucked out back in June. Only spent 1 day at MK prior to hitting the cruise and found her without much hunting. DS still thinks Briana must of thought we were weird

Nope, haven't seen him in a while. :rolleyes1

Just been a busy week. I haven't much time to check in at all. Had a meeting most of the day Tuesday, went to Decatur, IL for the Farm Progress Show on Wednesday, (and man, was it hot) and had another meeting I had to go to yesterday. Getting caught up at work and online today.

There's something about having football back that makes everything seem right in the world again. Or, as my hockey-and-football-loving daughter would say, "Thank goodness! Now I don't have to watch baseball and golf anymore!"
