DIS Dads DDC XXI - Passing Time Until Our Next Trip

This afternoon I had to make a quick run to the grocery store. DD was in hell raiser mode. She threw a fit that she had to ride in the kid shopping cart and couldn't take a kiddie sized cart. She Then got out of the cart any time I stopped whinning she wanted the kiddie cart. A five minute run turned into a 20 minute nightmare. When we got to the bakery I only let DS, who had been on excellent behavior, have a free cookie. I got "The Look" from not only the woman in the bakery but every woman I passed going from the bakery to check out. I'm sorry that you to listen to a three year old crying for ten seconds. But I'm not rewarding her horrid behavior or punishing the child who was behaving by not letting him have a cookie. If you got an issue with that then you know what you can do with yourself.

Well done. That's what a Dad does. Unfortunately, much of society has given up on parenting.

Been there done that before!!!! I am the same way, but my wife would have given her the cookie too. I have told her that rewarding bad behaviour causes bad behavior to continue!!!

Good for you. Same thing here tonight. I told dds if they would do their chores (clean room, make bed, etc) they could have a sleepover. Oldest has been doing well and youngest has refused. After I told the oldest she could and youngest she couldn't, my youngest went and pouted in her room. Stand firm.

Dedication or nothing else to do. Maybe if I started exercising like the other DisDads, then I would have more to do. As for the totals, I just enjoy chatting with you all. I rarely do those closure races. Since the mods didn't stop Brian from post padding past my single thread record, there really isn't any incentive for me to do those anymore. It was fun on leap year thread day though.

My wife works for Children's too. It sounds like they weren't raising enough money so they are encouraging the different departments to compete against each other to raise more money.
Also, I'm supposed to ask what you do for CHW. DW says that if you work in IT and can get her computer problems fixed that you just found a new best friend.
