Rob, I know you don't, but this would work. Just say'n.

One of my favorite Simpsons' quotes ever!! :cool1:

That, and basically anything Groundskeeper Willie says.

Well the head of our IT just stopped in. Tried a couple of things. Said he is leaving and will have to fix it on Monday. A switch is blown and two small hubs and a big hub are all knocked out. So I guess I will just keep streaming podcasts and d-cot from my phone.

Hey guys. I haven't been posting too much but I have been popping in to read the threads almost daily and also planning for our trip to DDC in January.

All the running talk got me thinking that I should post an update to my training. I'm about 6 weeks into my C25K program. This weeks runs are walk for 2 mins/run for 9 mins X 3. Last night I did 2.95 miles in the 33 mins. I'm feeling pretty good after my runs and haven't had too much soreness at all. My first 5k will be the Chicago Lung Run on September 15 and that will kick off my training for half in January. I still have a way to go on my weights loss (down 42 lbs this year) but the running is keeping the losses at a steady pace.

I'm happy that so many other dad's have inspired me to join in this as it has me feeling a lot healthier.:thumbsup2

Awesome! Well done. :thumbsup2

Oh, were those yours??? ;)

Thanks, they were awesome.

Canada... :sad2:

I posted this over in The Pub, but it's so good I have to share it here too.

Gentlemen, I give you Steak Flowers!

If they came to your way it must be true what I hear about Canada Post! They were coming out of PEI and should have traveled down I-95.:lmao:

Feel free to plant them and take care of them until May. You can then harvest and send me the data. Eat all you want after you weigh each berry.

Hey guys. Checking back in after not being terribly active here lately.

Unplanned day off at home with the kids today. DS5 was throwing up all night. he really loves his loft bed, but when you give projectile vomit an extra 4 feet of free fall onto a hardwood floor, it splatters like a son of a gun. Cleaning that up at 2am was no fun.:headache:

His daycare said there is a 24 hour bug going around - 1/2 the staff was out with it. It had better be only 24 hours - we get on an airplane for WDW in 7 days!

Ugh. I hope your kiddo feels better, both for his sake and to avoid any more 2am cleanup.

Fantastic! The run/walk plans seem to work really well for my wife, who finished the C25K and has now started 10-miler training for the ToT 10-Miler. I need to try it, as my plodding run-only speed threatens to leave me in the dust.

I just saw the trailer for Expendables 2. It just went from meh to I want to see it.

I loved the recent trailer I saw where one of the guys offhandedly referred to Chuck Norris as a "lone wolf." The callback to Lone Wolf McQuade cracked me up.

Afternoon Gents. Millerette an I are celebrating our 11 year anniversary today, and 16 days until Our trip to Disney World!

Thanks for all the well wishes. I probably would be down another 15 pounds or so by now if I would have given up beer but that just seems silly.

Happy Anniversary.

Give up beer? Lose your man card if that happens.

If you could add a trip to the beach, your life would be like CJ.

This afternoon I had to make a quick run to the grocery store. DD was in hell raiser mode. She threw a fit that she had to ride in the kid shopping cart and couldn't take a kiddie sized cart. She Then got out of the cart any time I stopped whinning she wanted the kiddie cart. A five minute run turned into a 20 minute nightmare. When we got to the bakery I only let DS, who had been on excellent behavior, have a free cookie. I got "The Look" from not only the woman in the bakery but every woman I passed going from the bakery to check out. I'm sorry that you to listen to a three year old crying for ten seconds. But I'm not rewarding her horrid behavior or punishing the child who was behaving by not letting him have a cookie. If you got an issue with that then you know what you can do with yourself.

Welcome back! The reference to Lone Wolf McQuade has a bunch of dads googling since they were born about then.

Congrats on 11 years! :hourglass

Why is today good? Unexpected pay bonus at work! :)
Why is today great? Cheap flight booked to LA!:):)
Why is today awesome? Time to go to Disneyland starting September 28. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

But I am missing something - oh ya, tickets and a hotel.
Wherever will I find a travel agent?:confused3

Been there done that before!!!! I am the same way, but my wife would have given her the cookie too. I have told her that rewarding bad behaviour causes bad behavior to continue!!!
