So now there will be a race for TSM FPs 30 minutes early? :confused3 :3dglasses

That's interesting. I wonder what that does to rope drop as those attractions are spread out through-out the park. Do they still do the traditional Rope drop ceremony only move it to 8:30 or do they skip it all together?

Not sure how this will help anything. :confused3 Seems like it will be the same chaos, just a half hour earlier.

Not sure - but I definitely found it interesting... wondering what they're looking for or not looking for in this latest test.

So are they above or below "In n Out Burger" on that list?

Definitely below - but they are in the top 20.

Okay, I've heard about these, but I've never seen them, can someone post a picture of an Itzakadoozie?

I'm sure I have one somewhere... but perhaps someone else will beat me.

Gotta go have dinner with the family - then it's off to Scouts tonight.

WOW - you'll all have free reign for a while whilst I'm gone this evening. Imagine, you'll get a page, or two or three or more without my posting on it. :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Quick everyone! Let's move around the furniture and hide things and see if he notices when he gets back!!!!

I think touring plans should enable you to enter a group of desired ADR's. They could use their park forecasts and make API calls to the dining reservation system to determine availability. They could then make a complete itinerary for you including which restaurant to eat in on which day. That would help you reduce travel time and help you visits every park on its optimal day during your stay.
They could call it fork-casting.

Barry, I didn't recognize you there for a moment!

Oh you funny, funny man.

Sad but real self-disclosure here... laugh away, I don't care...

but I am very anal when it comes to our Christmas tree. DW tried that one year with friends, just to see if I would notice that they had moved around 3 of my favorite ornaments. I did, and promptly moved them back. She was amazed that I wasn't amused.

And oh yeah - dinner was consumed rather quickly tonight, as DW has some sewing to do on DS' Scout pants before we can go this evening to the meeting, so I have a few more minutes to play on here. That's why I'm back "so soon."

And that is why I do not find this stuff amusing at all :rotfl2:

I'm not sure which would be weirder. If you put every ornament in the same place every year or if you have a "Monk" like ability to remember where everything on your tree is placed.

I can't remember what I had for breakfast :confused3

In this case it's more of a "Monk" like ability. DW insists on certain ornaments in "certain spots" each year - like her nativity ornaments, and her glass star, and, and, and... but once I place my barrage of Disney and other trip inspired ornaments (we collect a new one from each "new" destination we go to) - I remember where they are for that season, and lordy they'd best not be moved, unless I find a compelling reason to do so.

Like I said - I'm pretty anal about my Christmas tree decorating.

Now ask me which specific trip to DL or WDW is my favorite... and there I'm stumped. Way too many that all run together in my mind.

And now I know what I can do to amuse myself the next time I'm invited over to Christopher's place. :thumbsup2

Did you have the early bird special for dinner?

OR - we could revise that proposed rule to a better one, like this: Last to post loses, and has to buy a Dole Whip and an Itzakadoozie for the Dad who has secured the highest number of individual threads with the most posts in said threads.

I think that would be a better than you simply appointing yourself as the winner of your "drawing" ::yes::

I take offense to that... I'll have you know that I did not APPOINT myself the winner. That draw was fair and square.

Here's an interesting tidbit I read on MP today.

"…Our friends at TouringPlans.com are noting that Disney's Hollywood Studios is testing a new park opening procedure this week. Although the official park hours will show a 9 a.m. opening time, the gates will actually open at 8:30. At that time, Toy Story Mania, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, and Tower of Terror will be open. Sign-ups for Jedi Training Academy and Fastpass distribution at all attractions also begins at 8:30. All other attractions will keep guests outside until 8:45. To get a jump on the crowds who may not know about this procedure, make sure you're at the park a half-hour earlier than you planned this week."

Should make things interesting if they move this up from just a test to reality.

I have been reading on the Theme Park boards that this has been happening for a couple of weeks now.

I believe I also read the same for Epcot. Test Track, Mission:SPACE and Soarin'. (although I could be mistaken).

I also heard the MK is the ONLY park still doing an actual "Rope Drop" ceremony now... apparently that's been for a few months now.
