Tammi- I forgot in my earlier post, glad you and the kids made it safe to PA. Have a great weekend with your parents.

Vicki- Safe travels today.

My niece spent the night last night and they are up all wanting pancakes for breakfast. Talk to you later! Have a great Saturday!!

We dyed Easter eggs with my mom, sister and niece last night. Lucy was hysterical, we gave her an egg and she had a ball tossing it all over the table and the trying to eat it.

I am loving hearing and seeing what everyone is doing for Easter. For the first time in 29 years we don't have a child in the house or have plans to go see one for Easter. No colored eggs, no Easter baskets. No Easter Bunny! For the record I really am not complaining, it is just so very different!

Well, I'm up and ready to head out into the weather again. The skies look clear but I'm not sure what the roads will bring. I don't know know when I'll have time to get on and post that I'm there. Have a great Easter DDA if I don't make it back on.

I am hoping it goes well and the roads are clear and dry, Vicki! Safe travels and HAPPY EASTER!!

Good morning,

Daniel has baseball at 10am but I am seriously considering not sending him as its 32 degrees here & they play down by the water.:sad2:

Today we are taking our moms out for an early Easter dinner. Not sure where we are going though! I like Elin's german place!;)

Vicki,
Safe travels

Deb,
Take it easy on yourself! (said in a stern motherly tone) ;)

Robyn,
Great pictures! We still haven't colored eggs yet!

Theresa,
Yikes!!! I never go to the CB anymore. Not very magical.

Well, let me know how many and I will make the reservation!

Here are pictures of the mickey garden knomes. I am so looking forward to seeing the F&GF. Dana loves his garden & so do the kids. They help him plant & take care of the flowers & veggies he grows. We always have fresh flowers in the house from lilacs in the spring to last blooming roses in October.

I am going to need more money.:sad2:  :lmao: :rotfl2:

I want to go to WDW for the F&G Festival. I don't think I have any "open" weekends when I could go though. :(

My mom is hosting the Easter egg hunt and dinner this year and she has invited something like 30-40 people. So if you and Bob feel like a drive you are more than welcome to stop by. I don't think they'd notice 2 more! ;) Although a nice quiet Easter sounds joyfully delightful right about now.

Thanks Anne Marie. You better get to those eggs!!

I want a gnome! I want a gnome! Thanks for posting the link.

Your house sounds so delightful, I am sure the smell is heavenly! :goodvibes I love lilacs, I only wished they bloomed a bit longer. Maybe we'll plant one this year.

Vicki sounds like you made a good decision to stop last night. I hope today is better for you!

Robyn I see Anne Marie posted the link for the Mickey gnomes(Thank you). I think they are so cute! Love the pictures of decorating Easter eggs :goodvibes

Anne Marie I hope you enjoy your dinner with your mothers :)

I have a Dell laptop, sorry to hear about the problems everyone has had with them.

Deb hope you are feeling better today & get a lot of your work at home accomplished :wizard:

I put some eggs on to boil last night & forgot all about them  Riley went in the kitchen & asked what was up with the eggs. The water had completely boiled away :rotfl: I put them in the fridge & I will make the deviled eggs tonight, hopefully they are still good :rolleyes1

I am running really late, have a great day all!

Elizabeth, I hope you feel better soon and don't end up getting really sick! :wizard:

Thanks, Jennifer! Unfortunately I feel like crap this morning. My throat is killing me!

I don't have time now to catch up, but I just wanted to pop in and say hi and let you know that I'm up here in PA. The drive was ok and the kids were good. I hope everyone is doing well. :grouphug: :wizard:

Glad you made it safely! Have a good weekend!

Just finished on the phone with dell--I am apparently allergic to soemthing as my face is all blown up--so it was a good night to stay home!

Not your day, huh Jen?

I wish you felt better to tackle all this stuff, Deb!

Feel better, Deb! I hope all of your "helpers" really do help this weekend!

Well, I didn't make it to my sisters tonight. The first 8 hours were great. Becky drove the first 5. She drove across the Mackinac Bridge and drove on the expressway (something she had never done before). Weather was clear. Got 10-15 miles North of Lansing and it started snowing. There were at least 3 cars in the ditch in the 10-15 miles before we got to Lansing. Becky's boyfriend called and he was sitting still on I-96 in Grand Rapids. They had closed it while he was on it because there were 40+ fender benders because the roads were so bad. He ended up 2 hours late to Lansing. It took me 4 hours to get from Lansing to Maumee Ohio. The weather was getting worse and I realized if it continued, I'd be driving 30-35 miles per hour which would mean the last two hour drive would turn into at least a 4 hour drive. So I'm installed in a Courtyard by Marriott instead. There is a storm warning until 9am. I'm hoping it clears sooner but if it doesn't, they will be out until 11 because of an early morning appointment so I should be able to get there before they return.

I got home at midnight last night and we were on the road by 8am this morning. That is Lansing time (EST). Of course I live in Central Standard Time so that would be 11pm & 7 am.

So...here I am checking in on my DDA friends.

I hope your drive isn't bad today, Vicki! :wizard:

I wish my Dr. had Sat. AM hours like the pediatrician. I have a little congestion that I can deal with but my throat is a mess. It hurts all the way up into my ears. Princess is still on break Monday and I hate to drag her to my Dr's office. At least when I dragged her to the OB/GYN I didn't feel like there would be sick people in the office. I guess I'll see how I feel Sunday PM and go from there!

We dyed Easter eggs with my mom, sister and niece last night. Lucy was hysterical, we gave her an egg and she had a ball tossing it all over the table and the trying to eat it.

Adorable pictures! I am tickled thinking of Lucy's antics with the egg! :goodvibes

Kyle and I were talking last night about how different our Christmas and Easters were this year. I just didn't have the energy to do other stuff that needed done around the house, so Easter decorations, some traditions, etc got ignored this year. We didn't color eggs even, for the first time in my life!. I actually don't care, as long as I get to eat some hard-boiled eggs, and deviled eggs. I'm making 3 dozen today for Easter dinner tomorrow at my parents house, so I'll keep a few and that will do! :)

Anne Marie, thanks for posting those gnome pictures... they are absolutely adorable! We didn't intentionally go for the F&GF last year, but we loved it!

Thanks, Jennifer! Unfortunately I feel like crap this morning. My throat is killing me!

Oh no! :( I hope you can get seen on Monday. How well does your insurance cover urgent care centers? I know some don't well (ours doesn't anymore), but if whatever the copay would be is worth it to you, they could check for strep and get you an antibiotic if you needed one! Feel better! :(

I just bought a new pair of shoes today. I will see how they work... they are Earth Footwear shoes (I remember when the company started!)

Those look so comfy and cute! I may have to try a pair!

Nice eggs! Thanks for posting the photos-you reminded me that I had mine on the stove. I don't know if I should do a few with Emma now or wait. Lizzy is doing eggs with a friend and DH brought Joe with him to MIL's-they are going to do a little yard clean up. I know Joe will want to do some eggs when he gets home too. I think I'll do a few with Emma now.

Brrrrr-in the 30's here too but in the 20's with the wind. I'm sure there will be a lot of missing kids this morning.

You are going to LOVE the flower fest! Do you think you could pick me up a brochure?

I want to go to WDW for the F&G Festival. I don't think I have any "open" weekends when I could go though. :(
 I'll take lots of pictures for you.

Unfortunately I feel like crap this morning. My throat is killing me!
So sorry! Hope you find some relief soon!:wizard:

Has anyone gone to the Kennedy Space Center? I looked at their website but it seems so confusing. They have a bus/ticket combo that picks up at ASMu. It is about $90/adult.:scared1: We were thinking of renting a car (pickup at Dolphin) but we would need a minivan for the 7 of us and I think we would need 2 days because the hours are limited at the Dolphin. The bus would be so much easier.
