We are back. We met with the VP, & the teacher. I asked for the vp to be there. It got rather emotional for me but I only "let go" once.Dana kept tapping my leg to tell me to calm down.![]()
Anyway the deal is my DD does not have to dance & there is no connection between the dancing & Spanish. The teacher said it was just "fun" for the kids & that no one else complained. She will not take anything away from her participation grade & she apologized to Katie for raising her voice & her abrupt mannerism.
Dana & I are satisfied with this & hope things will go more smoothly from here going forward.![]()
I think having the VP there was brilliant. Obviously the teacher was wrong, but that results may have been much different had you not made that move. I wonder what the vp or more importantly schoolboard will think about using schooltime for an activity that has nothing to do with education

for your mom.

Hope things go smoothly from now on.
Im getting ready then going to work for a bit for the kids halloween dance, then im going to the party..

In any event I've explained that parents cannot be expected to find out sometime next week that they need to provide a specific costume for their child. I know that I don't have time. I'm sure some of the kids will be disappointed, but seriously we are a week away from Halloween. The rec dept also expected the kids would do it on Friday and Saturday night, but apparently some of the kids plan to go trick or treating (even though they are 8th graders
