Good Morning DDA!

I'm chaperoning Leighanna's field trip today. This should be interesting considering I just worked 12 hours! Lets' see.... 120 screaming first graders (I won't be the only chaperone), on no sleep? ..... I should be just fine! At least I will stay awake!

Oh... we're going to Ohio Caverns and then to a farm afterwards. It is supposed to be sunny, but windy, with a high of 80. At least the weather will be nice!

Colby is fine this morning. He still has a bump, but it is much smaller. No headache or other ill effects. I did make sure that he stirred a couple of times last night at the doctor's suggestion.

I'm not sure what we will do today. The sun is already shining though the temps aren't up yet. Hunter has lacrosse practice tonight so whatever we do needs to be pretty local.

I'm glad that Colby is fine. I hope you found some fun things to do.

Hello friends! I just can't seem to get caught up on anything computer related lately. Doesn't help that I've gotten to the computer 3 times since Easter weekend. It's just been crazy as usual. We've subbed preschool 3 times in the last two weeks plus all of the usual stuff. Today's list was eqaually as long, but my body as decided otherwise. Whatever stomach issues I have were triggered by somthing yesterday and it has been a pain-filled night and morning.

I'm really hoping the trend of only lasting a day or so continues because a) it hurts! and b) tomorrow's list isn't as negotiable. I'm supposed to be at the church a 6am to help with the garage sale fundraiser for my dad's mission trip to the Ukraine. Plus, we've got to pick up April Showers stuff for scouts and I promised to take Terra on a nature walk. I guess if I'm not feeling better we'll get a real life answer to her question earlier this week of "what happens if you promise/I] to take me somewhere and then get sick."

So how is everybody?!?!?! Well, I hope. Can someone give me a quick rundown of the highlights of the last few weeks? Lots of and all around!

If you could send pixie dust and drum major thoughts toward Cassidy today I would appreciate it. Today is the major portion of her audition. We had a fun time last night trying to do her assignment on leadership....she wanted creative....so we started being silly and came up with once upon a time....

She did end up being creative....she wrote a poem...which I thought was pretty good. (I hope she won't mind):

Leadership
To lead

Every great team
Needs effective leaders
Leaders keep the group together
Take control when needed
Be cool and friendly when the hard works over

Drum Majors
The highest form of leadership in band
They keep everything in control
Help the band make beautiful music

And how to get the band to play


Tomorrow is prom....I am doing Cassidy's hair.

I know that it's too late for now, but I did read this earlier, and thought good thoughts for Cassidy all day.

That's one of the things I liked. There was something 2 for the price of 1 and she got 2 for me and gave me the 2nd one rather than keeping it for herself. She didn't have to do that. They looked for the deals for us and passed them on. Very good customer service!!!

I'm a pepsiholic and Disney and close-by businesses do NOT have Pepsi. There are people that even went to the gas stations that you can walk to from the Boardwalk. No pepsi!!!!

Gary has to have his Mountain Dew! I do wish Disney would offer both.

no they have not been to WDW my mom has been to disneyland with her best friend. we are not telling the kids till the day before. I will make something and out it in a box for Olivia to unwrap at her birthday party the day before.

Good evening, DDA!

I've only been eating better and doing minimal exercise for a week and a half, and I can't tell you how much better I feel. It's not perfect. I was a total witch yesterday. Overall, though, I feel so much better. I wouldn't call myself energetic, but not lethargic either. Cooking dinner time used to be such a chore to actually stay awake and upright. The last couple of nights I've actually enjoyed making dinner again. Maybe it's coincidence and just part of my normal up/down cycle, but I'm enjoying it.

That is terrific. It is amazing how taking care of our bodies really does improve everything including our mental health

hunter had a nice playdate though they ended up coming here to play for the last hour We returned DVDs and picked up a cake and some cupcakes that were 1/2 price and then picked up pizza. We had a nice picnic before Lacrosse. From there nick, Colby and I went to my cousin's house. She cut their hair while I played with the baby. They boys then had time to hold her. They just love babies Chris and Hunter joined us after practice and they got their hair cut too. They held the baby and we had the cake and cupcakes for dessert. We stopped at my parent's house and gave them some cake on our way home. Now we are home and everyone is starting to settle down for the night.

Chris is working tomorrow so the boys and I will venture to the aquatic center at some point.

I know Deb asked about the price of the machine.....I think it's running around $199....a little less on ebay

As far as the cost of supplies....

they are not cheap...and there is somewhat of a steep learning curve.

BUT with perseverance and a helluva lot of alcohol I am getting better. Today I ran 4 shirts and had no issues (I will post some pics tomorrow)

BUT #2.....I have come across a forum of screen printers who have shown me the light and now I have ordered supplies at a fraction of the cost. The machine of course tells you to use only YUDU products...and of course they are WAY expensive...so let's hope these work out. I will give you an idea of cost once the stuff comes in.

Kristine, the shirts are terrific! Is that the Yudu machine that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago? How much do you estimate it costs for ink/screens to do a one color shirt?

I got my confirmation email from the town car service. I was worried they might not be able to schedule me this late.

I have to get to bed! I have SOOOOOOO much to do this weekend! Tomorrow is another Lowes day-making a toy glider so the kids are pretty excited about that.

OH and I think I should start packing.
