Deb...I will keep you posted....I want to try a couple of more today.

Interestingly, these guys in the screen printing forum say a better product for beginners is by Speedball. It's 1/2 the price. It does not have all the bells and whistles...i.e the light & fan.....but since you are so handy.....
I don't see this as an obstacle as I am sure you could rig up something.

I think I read about that one last night. I think I'll see how you fare and go from there. I'm not a patient crafter, I like instant gratification and the other system seems like it would take longer.

I would love to hear more about it. I am definitely interested in getting one. I just placed an order for custom sweatshirts for us to wear to Lacrosse and it was $278 for 5 sweatshirts and 2 t-shirts :scared1: It would be nice to be able to make them here and I think it would be cheaper than that.

Ouch! :scared1:

Good Morning DDA!

We had a good time at the farm and the caverns yesterday.
The hardest part was keeping little hands from touching anything. Of course the guides were constantly reminding them.;)

The kids got to ride horses, take a hay ride (which by the way was a mess with the winds that we had yesterday), and pet some animals.

It was a full day, but we had fun.

I was beyond tired last night, so we hit the hay early, and I still feel like I missed a day of sleep!

Off to get ready. Leighanna wants to go bike riding, so I better get the tires filled with air, and see if I can still ride.

Have a great day!

Glad you both had a good time & you were able to stay awake lol

Have fun bike riding!

I got a phone call from the doctor's office this week about my last bloodwork, unfortunately it's never good news when they call. So I've added a tenth medication to my daily routine.

:hug::hug:

Deb I hope you get your money back quickly! Maybe beings it is an ad on the Dis boards you should notify one of the mods & let them know as well.

Tammi I hope Nicholas played a good game today & that Alyssa enjoys her birthday party!

I decided to open more of our windows today & our cats are running around trying to decide which one they want to sit in. They are so funny

Tammi-I hope today is enjoyable for everybody. Can't wait to hear about the party.:goodvibes

Debbie-I am sorry about the adding of another med but good for you for getting back on the exercise band wagon.

Deb-that is a lot of money for sweatshirts!! I am sorry you got scammed.

I will have to wake Cassidy up soon:scared1:It's gloomy here today so I don't see a whole lot of outdoor pictures happening tonight.

She decided to make her poem a traditional essay, as the other 2 had done. No matter who or what combination he chooses for drum major (other than if he chooses just his daughter) it will be a combo of favorites. We saw one of the current drum majors last night and he told her she did a good job on commands:goodvibes.

Im feeling pretty good right now.. i did a mile on the eliptical and about 200 crunches...im drinking some water then im off to lay by the (closed) pool! Its just too gorgeous not to lay out a bit!

We went to the Aquatic Center for about an hour. It was just starting to get busy around 2PM. I imagine that was because the first planned activity was at 2 PM. The kids did the duck derby. They each got to pick a rubber ducky out of the lazy river, the number written on the bottom of the duck corresponded to a prize. All 3 of my boys ended up with speedo bathing suits :rotfl: Of course they just handed them out without regard to sizes. We ended up with 2 size 26 waist and one size 22 :lmao: I don't even think bones (I mean Hunter) will fit into a 22. Oh well, Nick wouldn't wear one anyway. We are planning a BBQ for dinner tonight. I've got steaks marinating in the fridge.

We are making homemade pizza for dinner tonight. I need to go start now.

It is cold, rainy and overcast here today. We had a serious thunderstorm late last evening. The temperature was in the 80's at one point. Crazy!

I got the grocery shopping and recycling done today. I really should get my office straightened up.

I got a phone call from the doctor's office this week about my last bloodwork, unfortunately it's never good news when they call. So I've added a tenth medication to my daily routine.

I did some shopping for Brandon yesterday and stocked hiim up on shorts for the trip, now I need to have him try them on, that's not going to be fun, he hates clothes.
I'm sorry you are still having health issues, Debbie. I hope this new med does the trick! :thumbsup2

I'm starting to think about adding a day or 2 onto the beginning of our trip and going to Universal first. The problem is I know nothing about it. Chanon or Kristine or Deb, or anyone, will a day and a half be enough, and what's the difference between the 3 hotels? Are they all close? Within walking distance? Do they have discounts, like WDW does, or is it all rack rate? Anything else that I should know?

It is NINETY FIVE here right now at 5:00 p.m. :confused3

Heidi congratulations to you & John on DVC!

Tom Glad you both had a good time & you were able to stay awake lol

enjoy the bike riding

Debbie  I hope after 3 months you can stop the new med

For the past 24 hours or so I have been trying to get some news coverage of something that just blew me away yesterday afternoon. When I got to the studio there were "suits" all over our street, talking to one another and watching everything going one. There were 2 Lincoln Navigators as well as a couple of other limo-type cars parked right in front of my school! There were news photographers as well. Which is why I don't understand why I can't find any photos!

The barber next door, who usually knows everything going on in our 'Burg knew nothing and neither did my student who works at the paper. About 30 minutes later 6 men and 1 woman walked right by me... The woman and 5 of the men were dressed in black suits with lapel pins that matched and the other man in the middle of the group who nodded and smiled at me was dressed slightly differently. I still did not know what was going on and no one seemed to be able to find out. A couple of locals asked the bodyguard/secret service types and got "He is already here" and "A foreign dignitary you wouldn't know is visiting" as responses. It certainly seemed like a lot of hoopla for someone insignificant!

Finally, one of the barber's regular customers came in who probably knew what he was talking about. He is in charge of the security at the Pentagon and had set up everything required for Gates' reception for the King of Jordan that morning. Seems that the King (and possibly his wife) were in Fredericksburg for some reason. I know that there was a lot of activity at the newly opened museum at the other corner of our block the night before with caterers and lots of people, so I am wondering if possibly they were setting up for his visit and he was there.

ETA: I can find lots of coverage of his surprise stop in Gettysburg this week!
