Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving.

Everyone behaved themselves at my BIL...So all went well thankfully.

We are decorating today.

Have a great day.

Heidi sorry to hear about your uncle

Heidi,

Can I ask for some prayers and pixie dust please? I just found out that one of Emma's friends from preschool dad committed suicide yesterday. Eric and him coached the girls soccer team one year. Please say a prayer for Emma's friend, her little sister and their mom. I cannot imagine the hell they are going through right now.
How terrible. I am so sorry.

Welcome to the world Timothy Locke!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Glynis & Alan!!

No shopping for me today..maybe some online later...off to put up the tree.

Good luck to all you BF shoppers!! Hope you get great deals.

Deb I hope you get all the deals you are looking for!

I will be heading out in about an hour with sil. We decided not to try & go at 4am. There are only a couple of places I want to check out & they do not open till 6am.

If I wasn't so warm in my blanket i would go to Penny's real quick just to grab a snowglobe lol

We ran into Penney's at 7:30 (they opened at 4) and grabbed 3 snowglobes. Hunter went shopping with me, but I knew better than to come home with only 1 for Nick and Colby to share :rotfl: Our Penney's still had quite a few left then.

Our Black Friday was pretty much the best ever! :rotfl:

Kyle and I hit 9 stores, NINE, and were back to my parents' house before 7am! :faint:

We didn't opt to try for a new computer because I am just too picky for the ones that were offered  but we got everything else we needed, as well as 90% of what my mom needed. I got a GORGEOUS $220 Cashmere-Wool Blend pea coat for $49 that fits beautifully (and I was in desperate need of a new coat!). We got a $600 HDTV (only 22" as an extra) for $250, and a $100 digital frame for $30. We got the maximum of 8 Lil' Kinz for only $3.50 each! We got lots of smaller things like nice photo frames, some board games, a few DVDs, some accessories for the Wii, etc for absolute steals.

All this between about 3am and 6:30am, AND we got gas for $1.59 to boot right before the station jumped up to $1.80 like the surrounding ones!

I haven't slept in about 28 hours, so I'm hoping that's a good enough excuse to go to bed early with the girls, instead of socializing at my inlaws :rolleyes1

We're off to Ottawa shortly ... enjoy the rest of your weekend!

We left here at 3:40 and got in the line for Kohl's. I did very well there although they didn't have the sneakers that I needed for Nick. It did take us 2 hours to find what we wanted and make it through the check out line. All tolled we hit 11 stores in 7 hours. 7 hours  no wonder I'm tired.

Janet, when did your Penney's open?! I walked in ours at 4:15am (they opened at 4) and the snowglobes were long gone. Is it cute?
Ours still had some at 7:30 AM :confused3

I thought that I was almost finished, but a couple of the thing I bought were also bought by my SIL so now I can return a few things. I ended up buying this for Colby

It's the little camcorder in the add. I think he'll like it and it wasn't too expensive. It also uses an sd card which is the same as all of our other electronics.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving.

We are decorating today.

Have a great day.

I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. I thought you weren't decorating :rotfl: I wouldn't be able to resist either. Hunter is actually pestering me to put up the tree. I told him I need a nap before I do anything. We'll see what tonight brings. I've already gone out and help my brother move a half cord of wood over to the furnace area, then I helped him get the tractor ready to put the plow on. I'm hoping we won't need it to soon, but better to be safe then sorry.

OK - Elizabeth... I took your idea and ran with it! I changed both dinner ADRs to 9:00 from 7:15 and 8:00. That will give us time to see the castle or the Osborne Lights and have a leisurely dinner afterward. Thanks!

I hope you are able to get the last few details figured out! :wizard:

We went to breakfast, stopped at Office Depot for a memory card, then walked through the mall. Now we are home. I am exhausted. I think I may be getting sick. My throat hurts. It just came out of the blue. I felt fine earlier. :confused3

At breakfast the Uncles decided to come to WDW with us next August. That also came completely out of the blue. They are going to call their travel agent on Monday and set it up.

OK, I definitely need a nap now.

Ours opened at 4am as well, I was really surprised they had any left! In the past there has been someone at the door handing them out, this year they were all sitting on the counter in layaway. Maybe people didn't realize they were there & that is why we lucked out :confused3

Thanks, gals. I am in total shock. He really was a nice guy and I just can't imagine what led him that way. I am not looking forward to telling Emma but it is something she needs to know and we will try and support her friend in anyway that we can. I am just so sad for the girls. The little one is exactly a year older than Lucy so she probably won't have very many memories, if any, of her dad. :sad1:

On a positive note, we are having a good time. The girls are enjoying being spoiled and I enjoy being able to sit and chat with Linda, she is my dad's cousin. Her and I love to chat about family history and it's nice to piece things together. I brought with us all of our old family pictures, some dating back to the 1860's and we have been going through them together.

We have a slow morning planned. Eric and John, Linda's DH, are taking the older 2 girls for lunch so Linda and I can catch up some more. Lucy should nap. When my cousin Jane, Linda and John's DD, gets off work we are headed to the hotel where she works at to check in and swim in the pool. I believe pizza is on tap for dinner. The girls will have fun I'm sure. Afterwards, Linda and John offered to babysit so Eric and I, Jane and her boyfriend Jim and Dave (Linda and John's DS) and his wife Beth can enjoy a night out!! I am so looking forward to that!!!

I am thinking that we may leave a bit earlier tomorrow than originally planned and try and make it home in one shot.
I'm glad that you are having a fun time! Especially after everyone was feeling so crappy at the beginning of the week.

I am on the phone with a CM who will NOT shut up!! She is talking about how tough it is on holidays to get from one family to another and how her MIL's attitude changed the minute she married the woman's son! I was on the phone with her for 20 minutes and there was absolutely no problem with the dining changes I wanted to make. She just would not shut up! Must have had a rough day yesterday at the MIL's house. ;) :rotfl2:

I just tried to switch nights on those two dinner ADRs, but Yachtsman is completely booked on Christmas night. Anyway, we can park at YC and take the boat over to HS on the 26th, see the lights and then come on back to eat.

I still have to figure out when we will get into the MK to see the castle with the girls... 12/24 won't work because Kathrin arrives just in time for dinner at Cape May (8:45) and the MK closes at 11:00 that night. 12/25 is NOT a good time to think about the MK at ALL! And 12/26 is our last night. I am sure the perfect answer will hit me, but it hasn't yet!
This is like deja vu, only different. :rotfl2:

Shopping went well for me. I got Alyssa a pair of $50 boots for $16, the Ugg type but different, and I got Bob a $400 leather coat for $160. Those were my main goals. Other than that I wandered around aimlessly. There didn't seem to be any great deals on clothes, and I didn't need any major electronic purchases. Elin called me when I was in my last check out line asking if I wanted to have lunch. She had perfect timing because I was starving. So we had met at Panera and had yummy food and good conversation, and we are meeting again tonight at her favorite wine place. I don't know when I'm going to pack!!!!

Now I'm going to lay down for a bit.

I hope you got your nap and that the sore throat is gone soon.

I'm glad you got the items that you wanted :cool1: You'll get the packing done, but dinner with Elin sounds like much more fun:cool1: :goodvibes

Colby, Hunter and I all took a rather long nap. I really needed it, maybe, just maybe I'll be productive tonight

Where is everyone? I'm going to have to...gasp...clean:scared:

I started the morning at JoAnne's.....2 hours later:scared1: I got out with enough great fabric for 2 blankets, 4 pairs of pj pants and the patterns needed to make the pants :rotfl: for $35.

8 stores and 5 hours later(and not a lot of stuff) we came home exhausted, napped and now just watched Nebraska beat the Buffs in the last minute of the football game.

We will go to our towns tree lighting tonight.

Elizabeth glad your throat is feeling better!

Sounds like everyone had a pretty good day with shopping & was able to take much needed naps :thumbsup2

Tammi & Elin enjoy your evening out!
