We have to use Aveeno (smell allergy) and since starting with that Abi's hands have never ever gotten as bad as they did before.

The old Vermont farmers swear by Bag Balm for there hands. Apparently nothing is worse then farming on hands

Let's see if I can tell you how the last bit of time at work went:

Sunday I got a gift card from SPRC at the 11 am service....we got out of there about a half hour after service ended. The people who stopped to talk to me meant more to me than the gift card.

Monday we went out as a staff for lunch (without Miss Tattle tale and her assistant...Miss is on vacation and assistant wasn't asked ) and I got a lovely card from my sounding board.

Tuesday-this was actually the hardest day. My bulletin stuffers gave me a salad lunch, which was so, so scrumptious. They also gave me a card with money collected from them...that little bit they collected meant more to me because they are all on fixed incomes and did it out of love not because somebody guilted them in to doing it. One of them also gave me a beautiful tea pot, cup and saucer. The downstairs teachers brought me a bouqet of flowers and a lovely card.

Yesterday was actually kind of exhilirating!! Except when the preschool director came in on her day off with her precious son to bring me a goodbye gift (a Willow Tree Thanks angel). I haven't gotten the guts up to read a note that one of the other members brought in right before we closed the doors. It took me ten type written pages to give the basics of my job and I know I forgot a LOT. I left my keys on the boss's desk at 6 PM. (I will go in on a contract basis to get a software mess figured out but not until LOGOS calls them).

Today we will go over to our friend's house that is the place where everybody goes. I am making creamed corn casserole and stuffing.

I'm glad that things went well the last couple of days. You must be feeling much relieved now

That is awesome. The name Timothy locke is a character from Lost I can't wait to see pictures. If anyone is sending flowers please count me in.

I saw that you can buy a package that includes a Mears shuttle to and from US. I just have NO interest in going. I would much rather plan it for 2010 when we will be there for more than 9 days. That way if we are going to stay at a US hotel for a couple of nights we can map that out from the very beginning.

We will do US on our next trip, but we will also plan to stay at US for 3 or 4 days. I actually bought tickets last year when they were on sale and stashed them away. I think tickets were $85 for a week

Heidi - Bath & Body has socks infused with aloe. You are supposed to be able to wash them 25 times before the aloe washes out. I already bought some plain socks for my mom or I would have considered the aloe ones.

We looked at all of the Black Friday ads but we didn't see anything worth going out for. DH wants another memory card for his camera but that's about it. We are meeting the Uncles for breakfast at 9 AM so I doubt we will go out before that.

I looked at stuff online but didn't see anything there, either.

DS is on the phone with my mom, so she obviously made it safely. She told him she is planning to see him on Saturday, so she better not change her mind.

Elizabeth if you have a Ritz Photo in your area they have sd cards 2 GB, 3 for $60, which will be free after at mail in rebate

Please say a prayer for Emma's friend, her little sister and their mom. I cannot imagine the hell they are going through right now.

I'm off to do my BF shopping. Well actually I need to get ready first. Kohls opens at 4 AM, I should make it. We drove by Best Buy last night and people were lined up. My DB said that people were already in line by 3:30 yesterday afternoon. I didn't see any deals worth waiting in line for

Good Morning!
Just got back from a little BF shopping.

It was CRAZY! Well...to me it was!
We went to Walmart to pick up a couple of things. I can't believe the people who had their hands on the T.V.'s waiting for the black wrap to come off. About an hour later, not one T.V. from the add was left, and they had pallets of them! Geez. We did get Mom the 19" flat screen T.V. Plenty big enough for her room, and since she doesn't get cable, she will be able to get her local channels digitally now. Her other T.V. was just about on the fritz anyway, I think it has been moved way too many times.

Got just about everything that we wanted plus a couple of other things.

Now I am going back to bed for a little while!

Hope everyone gets the deals that they are looking for.

Thanks, gals. I am in total shock. He really was a nice guy and I just can't imagine what led him that way. I am not looking forward to telling Emma but it is something she needs to know and we will try and support her friend in anyway that we can. I am just so sad for the girls. The little one is exactly a year older than Lucy so she probably won't have very many memories, if any, of her dad.

On a positive note, we are having a good time. The girls are enjoying being spoiled and I enjoy being able to sit and chat with Linda, she is my dad's cousin. Her and I love to chat about family history and it's nice to piece things together. I brought with us all of our old family pictures, some dating back to the 1860's and we have been going through them together.

We have a slow morning planned. Eric and John, Linda's DH, are taking the older 2 girls for lunch so Linda and I can catch up some more. Lucy should nap. When my cousin Jane, Linda and John's DD, gets off work we are headed to the hotel where she works at to check in and swim in the pool. I believe pizza is on tap for dinner. The girls will have fun I'm sure. Afterwards, Linda and John offered to babysit so Eric and I, Jane and her boyfriend Jim and Dave (Linda and John's DS) and his wife Beth can enjoy a night out!! I am so looking forward to that!!!

I am thinking that we may leave a bit earlier tomorrow than originally planned and try and make it home in one shot.
