Prayers needed for Chuck's mom. She was put in the hospital on Wednesday night. They gave her some meds and that took care of the immediate issue (which I still don't know what it is exactly). She is still in the hospital as they are monitoring her. Chuck headed over there today and I'll head over tomorrow. I didn't want to go today because I'm still not 100% after the sore throat.

Absolutely, prayers said. :wizard: :wizard:

In Eric's words "Umm, no! We don't have room for one." I have to tell you that Emma really, really wanted to fast this holiday. Eric told me to let her try it. He always fasts but I never do. Well we ate dinner on Wednesday night and she was fine with skipping dessert/snack before bed. She woke up yesterday morning and came downstairs. She sat on the couch, looked at me and asked "how much longer til I can eat?!?!" Needless to say, she will be trying again next year.

Yikes on the couch!

Definitely not looking forward to Monday morning. I imagine it will take me weeks to undo the craziness.

A couple of the families from the synagogue had some pretty elaborate sukkahs, but it seems like it was always FREEZING when we would go on the field trips to see them. We would do the thing with the etrog and the lulave and then have a little snack or whatever. I'm not big into Sukkot. Shame on me. Oh, yeah. I'm not Jewish. :rotfl2:

Good thoughts for Chuck's mom! :wizard:

Sending lots of prayers, Vicki. I hope she is okay. Keep us posted.

Very interesting!
The only wild deer I have ever seen was at WL on the way over to the GF. I think it would be neat to have them in the yard.

I think the mailman woke Princess up. :headache: He rang the doorbell.

I would be happy to export some of ours to you. We have several of them in our yard every day & night. It seems bizarre that there is a place in the states that it isn't common.

This is getting even more ridiculous. How am I going to get my reservations made?

NEW DINING RESERVATION SYSTEM IN THE WORKS

Disney will begin implementing a new reservation system that combines dining, recreation and tour bookings.

The conversion will start on July 21, 2008 and is expected to be functioning on November 21. While this is taking place, the latest dining reservation date which can be booked in advance is January 25, 2009. Once the new system is operating, it will revert to the 180 day Advance Dining Reservation window.

So sad to hear about Pal Mickey! Well Nicky will continue travelling with us and getting new clothes. By the way, I got his new headwear from Terry. How much do I hear you, Terry?

Say so long to Pal Mickey

The interactive plush Mickey which was introduced in 2003 is being discontinued. While Pal Mickey will continue to operate at the four theme parks same as always, once the current inventory is sold, he's a goner.

I don't know. I guess you set your alarm and get ready to dial in on Nov. 21? That should be a chaotic disaster. :sad2:

I am thinking of just letting IPO do all of our stuff for August. It's their job, might as well have them do it. Of course I will call and change everything 10 or 12 times after they book it, but I think I will let them book it to start with. :rolleyes1

I am the antithesis of granola. I could never use cloth diapers, even if I could afford a service. :rotfl:

Sooo...

My blueberry muffins were a hit despite their color.

I still don't have much of a voice. Alyssa has declared it "Mommy's ugly voice."

Matthew has pink eye and the start of an ear infection.

I had to cancel Noah's 3-month portraits today, so we could take Matty to the doctor.

Last night, Kevin and Matty had Alyssa giggling so hard that she threw up on the couch. :scared:

Matty added to the never-ending laundry situation by peeing on the lion bath mat before last night's bath.

Alyssa has decided that the male anatomy is termed "hot dog pee pee."

My neighbors might have contemplated calling child service's after Matthew's reaction to his eye drops.

I've lost five more pounds, but I really have the urge to binge today. Luckily, I have no Golden Oreos in the house.

Noah fell asleep after we filled Matthew's prescription and he's been sound asleep in his car seat for 2 1/2 hours now. He didn't even stir for Matty's screaming eye drop fit.

It's a gorgeous day, and it looks like a lovely weekend, too. :sunny:

Alyssa plays her last soccer game tomorrow, and we're having a picnic afterward. I'm in charge of the cake and cupcakes. Both are in the freezer...must frost tonight.

Gas is $3.06/gallon today!

I hope you all have a great weekend! TGIF! :wave2:

I meant to write that I am more mainstream than granola, but there are some things I try. I certainly don't judge others for their ideas either way, because each situation is different and each person's contribution is different. I did (mostly) cloth diaper, and you would not believe the negative comments. It worked for us, and I wasn't telling anyone else that they should do it.

I hope that your nice mommy voice comes back soon. Believe it or not, your list almost makes me wish I were back in those days. Crazy, huh?

Yay for your gas prices!! Ours just dropped to $3.42/gallon.

That's all? ;) :rotfl:

You forgot socks with the birkenstocks and my all time favorite...Not shaving legs or arm pits :scared:

I've never owned Birkenstocks (too cheap for that part of granola). I don't shave my legs often, but that is because (as my daughter terms me) I am a hairless freak. She is just jealous, because she has to shave her legs almost every day. I really just don't have much hair on my legs (or arms for that matter).

I am the same way. I only have to shave my knees, my ankles and the top of my toes. Otherwise, I'm pretty hairless on my legs.

I do have one pair of Birkenstock sandals. They are great. Or they were until they started to stink. I bought the special cleaner for them and it didn't help. I used straight rubbing alcohol on them (because there was a thread about it) and that didn't help, either. So now I have a pair of shoes that cost $130 and I can't wear them because they reek. As soon as I have had them on long enough for the shoes to get warm the stench is noticeable. Maybe I should try to saturate them with Febreze or something. It's not like ruining them would be horrible because as far as I am concerned they are already ruined!

I always just shave my legs to the knees. Because I am lazy, not because I am a hippy. :hippie:

ditto!! espescially the highlighted.

I bought 1 pair of Birkenstocks that were clearanced with birthday money one year...I wore them (sockless) to death.

I shave regularly in the summer...in the winter not so much. If I didn't have to wear skirts I probably wouldn't shave my legs at all....mainly because I am a clutz and even if they are safety razors doesn't mean I haven't slashed myself more than once.

Under arms are another stinky story.

Deb I hope you get to feeling better over the weekend :wizard:

Vicki prayers for Chuck's mom

Amy sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now. I hope things calm down some for you:hug:

Chanon called & they are getting ready to do the HHN tour at US. Said they had a wonderful time on the cruise but she still can't feel her butt from the ski jets & horseback riding :rotfl: They were upgraded at the Hard Rock Hotel from standard concierge to deluxe concierge :yay:

I am off work till Tuesday :cool1: It is suppose to be in the 80's this weekend then turn cold again, so I plan on enjoying it. Tomorrow we are heading out to the annual scenic drive. Lot's of arts, crafts, food, & beautiful scenery(I hope the leaves have turned enough). I think just Gary & I will be going, don't think the boys are to interested. Sunday I want to take the boys out to Country Corners where they have a corn maze & will be catapulting pumpkins lol They also have hayrack rides & a haunted maze. Monday I have no plans, maybe I will do laundry & clean the house some :rotfl:
