This was our first day at sea. Guess what we did after breakfast?.......BINGO..........Then my DS-I-L and I tried to book the Wine Tasting and it was filled up. So we booked it for Thursday afternoon. We spent the afternoon at the Quiet Cove pool. Of course, we participated in Pool Games. This year it was run by Ellen. We remembered her from last summer's cruise. First, there was the scavenger hunt, then there was a relay race. Since at this point (I had had a few) I wasn't too successful at the scavenger hunt. However, I felt fairly competitive during the relay. Ellen was really nice so we all received medals for our efforts.
Before dinner we attended "Pirates of the Caribbean". It was really good. Dinner was in Luminere's tonight - our first formal night. Our family picture came out great. Following dinner we attended Dan Riley which was good. Then............70s night began. Last year, when we attended this event, it was funny but they dragged out the antics and we never got to dance to the 70s music. This time things were quite a bit different............
We arrived late so we were seated at the bar all night. As soon as the 70s music came on, we started dancing. Next thing you know, She She comes up and asks me to help her judge a contest alittle later. (I KNEW what this meant and I started panicking.) Soon enough, she took me and two other women to Que in front of the audience and informed us that we would be performing a Gloria Gaynor competition singing "I Will Survive!" We went offstage and the competition began. I was shaking in my shoes!!! I always imagined doing something like this, but this time, I was really doing it. She She gave us a few tips and then sent us off. It was hysterical. I can't believe I had the guts to do it!!
Next we were asked to judge the John Travolta competition. Each performer was funny but the highlight was when JT #2 (who was wearing a kilt) lifted his skirt to the Judges (that would be myself and the other two GGs). Once again, I was laughing my head off!!!!!!! Guess who won!
The final event of the evening was the performance by the Village People. For this, my brother and my dad were included in this performance with 3 others. It was very funny again. Finally, the 70s music came on and everyone was up. It was an outstanding night and I highly recommend it.
