David Lee Roth and Nsy

I was at Mardi Gras last Night and David Lee Roth brought down the house. He sang all his hits like Jump, Running With the Devil, California Girls, and many more.

Its the first time I saw a performer cursing on stage like he did. He used the "F" word at least over 7 times, and many other 4 letter words. He and his band drank Jack Daniels on stage the whole night. He also symbold ejaculation by spraying a bottle of Jack by his crotch all over the stage. But he's a good showmen, and I liked what he did. His performance single handed distance Universal for Disney by miles. I think Hootie and the Blowfish will be a little lighter on the language and the inuendo next week.

On a lighter note Nsyinc's Lance Bass and Joey Fatone were on the second float in the parade throwing out beeds.

The only hit of his was california girls. Everything else that he sang was Van Halen's.

I definitely saw Joey Fat One (he seems to have lost some weight lately) on the Chef's float but I kept looking at him trying to figure out if it was really him that I missed Lance. Too funny.

DLR was good. Its probably been 20 years since I've seen him in concert! I was thinking that over the few years I have seen some great "free" concerts at Universal/IOA -- Smashmouth, Sum 41, Earth, Wind and Fire. That's truly a nice perk for locals with an annual pass.

Anyone been successful at getting on a float this year? I've been in the parade MANY times over the last 6 years and its seems to have gotten harder and harder to get on one as a walkup. This board used to have suggestions and tips on how to get on a float. Not anymore. Wonder why.

Another observation, the floats (and the riders) seem to have a lower to the ground profile than in years past. Meaning the float riders used to be higher up in the air. The "Showboat" float was pretty cool this year also.

Last year I e-mail the AP people and they got us on a float. I tried that this year, but they said they didnt think they could accommadate the dates we needed.

We were on a float on the February 28 parade without even trying! We were standing on the curb waiting for the parade to start, when a Universal employee approached us and asked if we wanted to be in the parade. We ended up riding the float with the sports theme. It was the perfect way to spend the last night of our vacation!

We'll be down on 3/22 when Live will be playing. It's the first
time we'll be there during Mardi Gras so we're excited! What

Location-"The Yard" which is the old Boneyard. It's the area between Twister and Jimmy Neutron.

Thanks for the times and concert location , we go this SAT to USO and then to Disney afterwards, it has been a couple years since we went to the Mardi Gras celebration, is there any place better than others to watch it from to get beads?
On a personal note? your DIS name? Are you a Spider man fan or work in some aspect of that at the park?

If you wanna catch beads and not worry about running halfway across the park to get to the concert, then right around the stage is one of the best spots. The parade does a turnaround near Mel's, so if you're quick, you can run from one side to the next.

My DIS name was just something different than my usual "dead giveaway" names. And I took this "what superhero are you?" quiz and it said I would be Spider-Man.

We were there for the parade that night. I didn't know the Nsync men were on the float! I would have loved to see them! I guess I was too preoccupied with trying to catch beads

We stood over by Mels and thought it was a great spot. Not too crowded and when the floats turned the corner the go really slow and almost stop so you get WAY more beads

Didn't stay for the concert though. It looked way too crowded for me! I can't believe the amount of cussing though, there were a lot of kids there!
