I am checking in on August 31. This is Labor Day weekend. When FD has been available in the past, are the Friday or Saturday check-ins on that weekend been black-out dates? Thanks!

Never had blackout dates in the past. Besides, free dining is based on checkin. If its available on the day you check in, it carries for your entire stay.

Hello Black, hope that you and your family are enyoing this wonderfull weekend too,if you let me, i want to tell to all my Disfriends that I don´t know when somebody have started saying that I have predicted the FD starting August 24th, but after that coment now all the forums including the Dis are talking about this date, only to clarify that I have sayed "the ideal time frame it´s AFTER August 24th but not that day in particular. Until I have the rigth information, I will not make any prediction about a particular date, like always when I came and say my classic "Ladies and Gentlemen ....." and only at that moment, I will give you the exact date and all the information concerned about the existence of 2013 FD.
Sorry but I don´t want to create fake hopes about something that it´s really important for a lot of families, I expéct that all of you understand this clarification, see you really soon

Only to say hello for you and your families, sadly nothing yet, I share with all of you the anxiety and I keep hearing permanently the latest conversations and news. Let´s be honest nothing it´s clear yet, I want to believe that previous years offers will be mantained but I don´t see anything about that, and things change from one day to other, let´s wait with our fingers crossed

The bounceback free dining ended around the 24th of sept so if they offer it to GP maybe a week later so maybe 29th just a guess based on BB dates.

There typically is a "late Summer" offer which goes from late Aug-late September, and then a separate "Fall" offer (very late Sept/Oct-Dec.) which picks up where the "late Summer" offer ended. The late Summer offer typically comes out in late April, and the Fall offer usually comes out in July.

You can have it applied when it comes out if it is available for the resort and room type you booked. If it is not, you could change to a resort or room type hat does have the discount.

Yep!

If you pay with gift cards, though, hang onto them until your trip is over. They will refund the money to the gift card, so don't throw them away.

We are thinking of going to WDW Sep 22 thru 28. We are actually going to be at the beach on vacation next weekend if/when this promo comes out, so now Im getting nervous. Should I go ahead and book the days we think we are going to go and change them as needed? You can change your dates as long as your more than 45 days away right? If we already have our package booked and FD does work with our dates, do I need to be in a rush to call our TA and get her to add the promo, or will we for sure get it?

Yes you can change your dates and yes you can call and add free dining as long as its still available for your resort selection. You should call as soon as you can to get the greatest choice of availability, but it generally is available for quite some time property wide, though it can sell out at particular resorts.

It looks like Disney is playing the slow route. I think the May date is likely for release. It doesn't appear they are going to do anymore in April. It's not unprecedented to wait til May but it hasn't happened often. However this year they seem to be drawing things out as much as possible.
