Thanks for posting who got voted off. Bummer about Paulina - I would have much preferred Shandi left.

Paulina and Alec - and boo hiss on that. They did not deserve to go. I blame the producers. They reminded us every episode that Cheryl was a two time champ, but never mention Alec is the season one champ.

And how come Paulina didn't get a heartwarming family visit from her husband, Ric Ocasek of the Cars. Billy Ray used his famous daughter to troll for votes - maybe Paulina was too classy to do that.

Man. This just stinks.

I can't believe Paula was voted off. She wasn't my favorite but she certainly wasn't the worst. I was hoping mullet boy or Leeza would leave.

Probably the men will get jive and the women tango. Sometimes they flip flop two couples, but usually because the celebrity couldn't handle the jive (the season w/George Hamilton - there's no way he could do jive!).

So they might switch John Ratzenburger with.....hmm which lady is least likely to pull of a tango? Probably Shandi.

I just watched the recap show and the results show. Of course by DVR was screwed up and while I recorded both and somehow missed seeing Heather do her second dance. I saw the little clip where she is flipped over her pro's head. Did the judges stand for that? They usually don't allow lifts during the regular competition. Isn't that considered a lift?

I really wish that Billy Ray was voted off. But there is always one contestant each season who gets "saved" by the audience votes. Remember Master P? Yuck. At least Jerry Springer was entertaining in his bumbling, much like John and Clyde this season. I think that Paulina had a chance of getting better while Billy Ray does not.

Oh well. Hopefully he'll go home next week.

The problem with the year for me was there was no one that just really, really stunk (except for Billy Ray and he redeemed himself in my eyes Monday). Paulina, Shandi, and Leeza needed to loosen up a bit. All three were way to stiff for the style of dance they did Monday.

I don't think Paulina had the fan base that the others have.

Wow, I was really surprised Paulina went last night. I am so sad to see her go. She was so gracious about it, she cracked me up when she said her family wasn't a big enough fan base. I was also surprised that her dh wasn't there at all. I'm surprised they never mention Alec as being the winner from the first season either.

I also cracked up when they showed BRC's expression when he was saved!

I was wondering about Laila's voice too. I'm thinking its got a lot to do with her training. Her and Maks do make a great pair.

Ditto! They were talking about certain websites out there something like, "vote for the worst" to get the worst people saved week after week. I guess it's a bunch of people that hate reality shows and want to really mess with the results. I know Howard Stern is a big pusher of one of the web sites. I'm just getting tired of the results of some of these shows. I'm going to have to start turning them off if people like BRC stays around. There's just no hope for him.

FWIW I really liked Paulina and hated to see her go but I agree that she didn't have the fan base. Basically it's a popularity contest more than a dancing contest.

My Aunt always teased me since I would cast all my votes for Jerry Springer. I did not vote this past round but I think I will now for John. I love his "Made in America" show.
