Dancing around the world~One pole at a time~~~Return of the prodigal trip reporter...

After our cab ride to the Poly via Animal Kingdom, we checked into Kona. I knew I would order Tonga Toast or the Macadamia Pancakes....my curiosity won out and I went with Tonga Toast.
2009-04-27078.jpg

I've seen so many rave reviews I thought it must be good. D.Jay ordered the steak..

2009-04-27079.jpg

The Tonga Toast was ok...it wasn't bad but it isn't something I'd order again. The banana filling in the middle was a little too banana-y for me.
It was served with maple syrup and a strawberry puree on the side.....We all agreed that it looked a little more like pink puke...

2009-04-27081.jpg

After our meal we spotted a lady wearing what looked like a backwards red fuzzy snuggie..we were :scared1: and:lmao:

We rode the monorail to epcot....there was an attempt at pole dancing....

Our first ride was on TT. Jordy's ride mojo was working because the stand by wait was only about 15 minutes around noon.

Jordan gets into his pod ready to be beamed up to the mother ship...

after a ride on Figment we rated Jordan's favorite bathrooms..
2009-04-27084.jpg

At some point Jordan heard from Cherie, blueyed girl, that she was going into Ellen's energy nap, so we headed that way and waited on a bench for them to come out.

Jordan was horrified to spot a women in overalls.. I believe his comment was "oh, honey....No...):rotfl2:

He was in need of strength after that...here he is in his Napoleon pose..

2009-04-27086.jpg

After 30 minutes or so, we found out that they had finished before we got there and were now in line for Soarin'.....so, we headed that way and went for a ride on nemo...
We ran into cherie and family on our way over to soarin' we talked for a bit and then headed our different ways before our dinner at the Wave.

After a little break back at POP we were brave and caught another taxi to take us to The Contemporary for dinner..........the curse was broken and we arrived on time and without any detours.

I can't say enough how much fun it was to be there with every one! I think we were a little loud...there was a lot of laughing......

Jordan was raving about his tomato soup...and some how came up with this as his rating system......

I had the pork loin..

Rosie brought us all gifts....I nearly fell off the chair when I saw the toilet paper...one folded and one bunched!:lmao: She was inspired by a topic on Jordan's tr about t.p. technique....she also gave us a brittish coin, I can't remember what it's called, but it was really neat because they aren't made any more and she knows that I dream of going to England.

Cherie gave me a monster-in-law voodoo doll!:rotfl: I wish I'd had that on the previous trip with my mother in law.:rolleyes1

D.jay really enjoyed the gift exchange because he told me, several times, to bring what I had for everyone to the meal, but I didn't know if everyone would want to carry them around the rest of the night....anyway...D.Jay got to give me the "I told you so" look.

By the time we left the Wave my stomach was hurting from laughing so hard.

We headed over to see Wendy and Dereks room in Bay towers.....nothing like 7 people stopping by to investigate.
It was fun visiting with them and their kids.

On our walk over to MK for a bus ride back to POP, I shared an intimate moment with a bush....I honestly don't know what happened. One minute I was laughing and talking and the next I was heading for a nose dive into a bush.:lmao:
D.Jay, Rosie, and Jordan all ran to the rescue to make sure I was ok............yeah right....it was more like hysterical laughing from the men ...at least Rosie assisted me while laughing at me.;)

rosie and jordan getting better aquainted on the bus..

We ended the day sitting for a spell at Petals while Jordan bounced back and forth due to a case of gas.....caused by altitude changes.:rotfl2: I honestly had never heard the theory that altitude change can cause gas....but that was his story and he was stickin' to it.
We soon left Jordan so he could attract some drunks, and headed for bed.
It was such a fun day! I laughed harder than I had in a long time.

up next.....sleeping in...can I do it??

What a great day -- well, except for the nose dive into the rose bush! Do we get to see a picture of the monster-in-law voodoo doll? :rotfl:

The bush story cracks me up! It is completely something I would do, especially if I was having that much fun, walking, talking and laughing....who bothers to look where they are going?

d.jay likes his steak huh!

:goodvibes

great update

next time send me your leftovers. ;) i definitely prefer the maple syrup. i didn't even try the fruit puree. it looked too chunky for me. and yes, resembled puke. glad it wasn't real pink puke you guys saw.

The food looks so good! Of course y'all look like you're having a blast at dinner.

Can't wait to hear if you could "sleep in".

It is so awesome that you all laughed together and had such a good time!!! Sorry about the close encounter with the bush but glad everything else was wonderful:thumbsup2

Oh yes- and after seeing pics of the Tonga toast and the steak and eggs...I am so going with the Steak and eggs it looks AWESOME-I know your DH is on here somewhere, Did it taste as good as it looked??

What a delightful day you all had! I mean who wouldn't want to start the day off with pink puke??

You've convinced once and for all.... definitely the macadamia pancakes!! Even a little banana-y sounds gross! Too banana-y and there'd be pink puke for sure!

Did they rate your bush dive?? I'll bet you scored a perfect 10.

Great update Cherie! You forgot to mention what kind of steak D.Jay had for lunch?

As much as I love it, this picture will not help me convince anyone that making friends over the internet is a good idea.

That is so funny and true!:rotfl:

Cherie, your pics are very good. I love that we get to read all these different views of the same night-I just have to keep track of where everyone left off.
Your writing is very easy and enjoyable to read. Walking and talking is more difficult the older you get! I broke my toe yesterday walking into my sons suitcase! All you can do is laugh at yourself because everyone else will!

Hmmm, I love bananas but that steak and eggs looks GOOD.

I walk into bushes all the time! Once in college I was reading a newspaper as I was walking and walked right into a post. Luckily I didn't hurt myself but of course when I looked up there was a cute guy standing there laughing at me.

My DH is normally more coordinated, but when we were in Reims during our honeymoon we were lost and he had his head turned and bonked his face on a light pole pretty hard - even bruised himself. I cannot tell you how much effort it took not to laugh at him! But nobody but me saw him which was his major concern. :rotfl2:

Looks like you guys had so much fun!

2 steaks in one day... D Jay is my kind of man... :lovestruc

Can't wait for more..

I'll get a picture of it today!

The bush story cracks me up! It is completely something I would do, especially if I was having that much fun, walking, talking and laughing....who bothers to look where they are going?
exactly!
I have a problem any time I walk next to someone constantly bumping into them.

next time send me your leftovers. ;) i definitely prefer the maple syrup. i didn't even try the fruit puree. it looked too chunky for me. and yes, resembled puke. glad it wasn't real pink puke you guys saw.

like i said on jordan's TR, TOTALLY something i'd do. i "get" it. at least we can laugh at ourselves.
I thought of you while I was eating my toast..

I was seriously like a weeble by the time I was 7 months pregnant....you might want to buy a bubble suit.:thumbsup2

the food was great!

-I know your DH is on here somewhere, Did it taste as good as it looked??
He said it was great....he'll be on soon to expand on the subject.

Love, love, looooove this trip report!

I read everything this morning & am all caught up!
thank you! It's always great to know I'm not the only one who thinks I'm amusing.;)

Did they rate your bush dive?? I'll bet you scored a perfect 10.
they were too busy laughing at me to notice my form.

You forgot to mention what kind of steak D.Jay had for lunch?.

:rotfl2: I think he was charitable and spared a cow

Um, you're supposed to get a picture of a 13 year old girl in front of the 13 year old girl sign. Sorta like this:

.
well, what I forgot to mention was he did strike a few other "poses" with the picture untill D.Jay pointed out that it was a 13 yr old girl......

As much as I love it, this picture will not help me convince anyone that making friends over the internet is a good idea.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

well, they are both single...we were just hoping it didn't go any further on the bus.;)

ouch! your poor toe!!

:lmao: I don't think I could have contained my laughter!:rotfl2:
