Oh whoops! I guess that's more of a local story than national then. He took his 2 and 4 year old sons "camping" at midnight on a bitter cold night in December. Supposedly while he was gone his wife, Susan, went missing and no one has seen her since. Good ole Joshy won't cooperate with the police. Everyone is pretty much convinced he killed her. Shortly after this happened he packed up his West Valley house and moved to Pullyup (or however you spell it) to live with his dad.
Sorry to bring this terrific TR down!![]()
I live in the Salt Lake Valley and a woman that works with me is Susan Powell's aunt. The night she "disappeared" was one of the coldest winter nights... He supposedly woke his sons up after 1 in the morning to take them to make s'mores and they were only gone a few hours. Josh says his wife was gone, but all of her things (purse, etc) were still home and there was no sign of a break-in. My husband and I love to go camping and hiking when it warms up but I am afraid that this is how she will be found... by campers in a remote area once all the snow melts. It is a very very sad (and bizarre) story. I don't know anything about their police investigation, but one would think that if they searched their home and vehicle(s) that they would find blood or something so they could arrest him... Hopefully it's not because of poor police procedure since those same police keep my family safe!
