Dancing around the world~One pole at a time~~~Return of the prodigal trip reporter...

Oh whoops! I guess that's more of a local story than national then. He took his 2 and 4 year old sons "camping" at midnight on a bitter cold night in December. Supposedly while he was gone his wife, Susan, went missing and no one has seen her since. Good ole Joshy won't cooperate with the police. Everyone is pretty much convinced he killed her. Shortly after this happened he packed up his West Valley house and moved to Pullyup (or however you spell it) to live with his dad.

Sorry to bring this terrific TR down! :)

I live in the Salt Lake Valley and a woman that works with me is Susan Powell's aunt. The night she "disappeared" was one of the coldest winter nights... He supposedly woke his sons up after 1 in the morning to take them to make s'mores and they were only gone a few hours. Josh says his wife was gone, but all of her things (purse, etc) were still home and there was no sign of a break-in. My husband and I love to go camping and hiking when it warms up but I am afraid that this is how she will be found... by campers in a remote area once all the snow melts. It is a very very sad (and bizarre) story. I don't know anything about their police investigation, but one would think that if they searched their home and vehicle(s) that they would find blood or something so they could arrest him... Hopefully it's not because of poor police procedure since those same police keep my family safe!

My mind wonders too. Makes it real hard to go to sleep at night.
 my mind is always wandering...I'm a little like Dug....Squirell!

Going back to Jamaica - they have buses to take you from your resorts back to the airport. We went past a roadblock one year and I guess our driver didn't have the right paperwork...and then he kind of argued with the cop saying it was the company's fault not his...and he had to drive to the jail! :scared1: We thought he was going to get arrested - they finally let him go, probably because he had a busload of tourists waiting on him. Poor guy, standing at the jail about to be arrested and we are all taking pictures out the window....

I can picture all the tourists with their cameras out the window...poor guy! were you late getting to the airport?

Note to self get directions from CM before getting in car with taxi driver...make sure taxi driver goes as CM directs ? :confused3
Hate when people take advantage of others and I'm sure that's what that guy was doing! argh. Glad Jordan let him know that it was not acceptable.
you would think the taxis on disney property would know their way around...this was a cab that just sits at the resort untill someone needs one.

oohh, I heard about that when i was in Utah. It's so sad. I didn't know he had moved out of the state. Is he considered a suspect?

I have taken taxis from Port Orleans to AKL and DD before, and both were expensive and the driver was never very friendly. Now you expect this in the city, but it kind of left me feeling sad in Disney. :sad1:
it would be nice if the taxis were owned by disney, maybe there'd me some pixie dust.

Yes, your typical conversation will run something like this if they want to practice their 5 words of English:

Yep. Well he's officially called a "person of interest" but I think that's pretty much the same thing.

Good luck on the finals! Always hated those.

Worst final I ever head was for a history course. (Early Church from the NT through the year 1500.) For the study guide, the prof handed out a sheet that just had a list of 150 names dates and places and told us that this was the information we need to go look up and know for the exam. When we came in for the test, she handed us back the exact same sheet of paper and said "Compose an essay using the following."

Wow.

That sucked.

Hoping your profs are a bit less sadistic!

I slept through my last college final...literally. Missed it and walked in as people were walking out. Had to take it the professor's office!

We were later than normal but they get you there really early (like ME) so it was fine. A bunch of people on the bus were complaining but I figured it wasn't his fault - we tipped him extra for having such a bad day!

Mine too! I love TAR and would love to be on it. It was the contestants who were lame if it's the episode I think it is - on the season that Nick and Starr won, remember when Terrence (the vegetarian) tried to eat sheep butt soup for a fast forward? That episode.

Were you tempted to make up a story/essay out of the sheet of words/dates/etc? ;) I know I would have been. :D

For my History G.C.E exams , our history teacher gave us her guesses as to what would be on the EXTERNAL exam !! Being the REBEL I was I chose not to listen to her and studied what I thought I should !! Guess what NOT one of her guesses were on the exam BUt most of mine were and I aced the exam !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I've only been taking easy courses to ease my way into it. I'm scared of taking my math placement test, I may be sent back to 4th grade.

I slept through my last college final...literally. Missed it and walked in as people were walking out. Had to take it the professor's office!
