I thought it was great. I hope they don't kill off Bobby... I'd like the old characters to stay on even if they focus mainly on the "kids".

Who else thinks Tommy and Rebecca sent the email?

I prefer John Ross to Christopher.

I want to know where Jock's portrait is....

Good call on Tommy and Rebecca! Oh yeah...the portrait, lol....I hope more and more of that stuff is shown each week. I think the *kids* are only gonna be good BECAUSE of the old characters. I would not have enjoyed it nearly as much without the orig characters last night...matter of fact if it was only about the new generation, if not for John Ross character I probably would have turned the channel. I love it when a villan has that *love to hate them* quality. My BIG question is who is funding all the $$$$$$ for the one impersonating the daugher of the "green" company Bobby is selling SF too?

I loved it! I was glued to my television from the first scene. Larry Hagman is fantastic as JR as he ever was. I really hope they don't end up killing off Bobby with the cancer. I haven't read much about it so I don't know if the original members are only on the show for a short time or if they are on it permanently. Anyone else know?

Maybe they will kill him off. Then, the next season, Ann can wake up, hear someone in the bathroom, go in, and discover Bobby taking a shower.

I think John Ross is perfectly cast...I buy him being the grown up version of the kid we used to see...but Iam not so sure Jesse Metcalf is ugly baby Christopher...

It was great! I love Bobby being on there. JR is just as bad as he use to be and he played Sue Ellen just like old times! I didn't like John Ross because he was so spiteful. I did like that JR is going to bust him out though!

or wait, he will need a blood transfusion and find out that John Ross is a match..the standard storyline of ethics and bloodline~and we all KNOW John Ross is spouting bigger than an oil well about how he is true Ewing blood. I am almost hoping Sue Ellen is the cash flow behind the imposter daughter for the company buying South Fork~or maybe that's when we will see Cliff Barnes return!

Loved the new show but agree with a previous poster that it would not have been as good if some of the original cast wasn't on. Just love to hate JR, lol. I was fooled by the brother/sister scheme up to the last minute. Sue Ellen has ulterior motives helping Elena. I don't think they will kill off Bobby right away....wasn't there a mention of surgery and possible remission???

I loved the shows last night! I couldn't wait and had been pestering DH about it every time the commercial came on.

I loved that they used the theme song and the opening just like (or very similar) they did for the original.

I love JR but Bobby has always been my favorite (and they better not kill him off this show either!). So...where was Pam? Her son gets married and she's not there?? Did I miss something? I know Victoria Principal said somwhere she didn't want to reprise the role - didn't she have some "work" done and it went wrong? Or maybe that is someone else I'm thinking about. They should definitely

I read that three (Ann, John Ross, and Christopher) used to play on Desperate Housewives.

Never did like Christopher as a child, but seeing Jesse Metcalf as Christopher is ok by me. The kid playing John Ross is perfect!

I can see Rebecca or Tommy sending the email but I'm thinking it might be Sue Ellen instead - she seemed to like John Ross and Elena together.

Can't wait for next week!

Yep Gary was Lucy's daddy. Charlene sure did look a LOT like Sally Struthers! WOW! Talk about not aging well!

My DH said that if the show does really well Bobby will go in remission, if the show tanks...then Bobby will be killed off. Makes sense I guess.

I enjoyed it - Hagman hasn't missed a beat. He always played JR with a certain twinkle in his eye. Bobby is just . . . Bobby.

So they got the Texas gun laws right, but please . . . Even in Texas, you can't challenge a will 20, 15, or even 10 years after it's probated!

The only thing that drove me crazy and I know I'm being picky. But when the guy who broke in the house jumped through the front window and then the later scene with Bobby and Annie the window was in the background and it was fine. I keep looking around the house for a picture of Miss Ellie and Jock.
