Dallas on TNT.

LOL...I love that the gun cabinet is in the kitchen, next to the aspirin drawer!

PS - Me likey so far! :thumbsup2

When she heard that someone else was in the house, I automatically thought, "She's in Texas... they have at least one gun in that house." Sure enough, she went and got her shotgun. Only thing that irritated me was that she didn't shoot. Loved the sheriff telling her to shoot him next time.

The only thing that drove me crazy and I know I'm being picky. But when the guy who broke in the house jumped through the front window and then the later scene with Bobby and Annie the window was in the background and it was fine. I keep looking around the house for a picture of Miss Ellie and Jock.

There are probably 24 hour window replacement services in TX, as probably many burglars have to jump through windows to avoid being shot. They consider it a public service there as they don't want people to have to sit up all nite by the open window with a shotgun propped up next to them, fall asleep, then accidentally shoot the FedEx guy dropping off a package at the crack of dawn. :scared1: :lmao:

I enjoyed it - Hagman hasn't missed a beat. He always played JR with a certain twinkle in his eye. Bobby is just . . . Bobby.

So they got the Texas gun laws right, but please . . . Even in Texas, you can't challenge a will 20, 15, or even 10 years after it's probated!

I think they are challenging the terms of a Trust, which is considered ongoing. Miss Ellie gave SF to Bobby under certain conditions.

I loved that they used the theme song and the opening just like (or very similar) they did for the original.

I can see Rebecca or Tommy sending the email but I'm thinking it might be Sue Ellen instead - she seemed to like John Ross and Elena together.

Can't wait for next week!

I am watching the original series on CMT right now & it's not the exact same opening, the pics are different - and the font of the word DALLAS. (It also says A Lorimar Production in the original series opening). But it sure is a great opening - so similar!

Ok I have a 3rd spin on the email. But this scneario would only work out if we don't know Christopher's parents. For the life of me I can't remember if there was a "story" there or if he was just adopted from an agency. Someone here mentioned that he was Kristin's son - is he? If not, I think the maid sent the email, Elena's mom. Maybe she is Christopher's mother - she had an affair with JR back in the day & Christopher is the result. They made a few references last night of them growing up together like brother & sister. Now wouldn't that be a twist - then not only would Christopher be a blood Ewing, he's be John Ross' half brother too!

What is Christopher's past? Anyone remember so we don't have to Wiki it?

Interesting theory (and kinda eeewwwww factor if they are in fact related!) ;) But it would put quite a kink in JR Jr.s plans if Christopher is his half-brother!

Christopher Ewing was born Christopher Shepard, the son of Kristin Shepard in 1981. Initially, Kristin claimed that her rich and powerful brother-in-law, Texas oil man, J.R. Ewing was the father of her son. Shortly after his birth, Christopher's birth mother, Kristin, died at Southfork Ranch, the home of the Ewings. Christopher was then sold to Bobby Ewing by a man named Jeff Farraday. Bobby intended to deliver Christopher to J.R., as Bobby believed J.R. was the father, but Bobby's wife, Pamela, mistakenly believed that Bobby had brought the child home for them to adopt, as she was unable to have children of her own. Bobby and Pam then legally adopted Christopher and the truth was later revelead that J.R. was not Christopher's father and that his true father was Jeff Farraday, the man who sold Christopher to Bobby and who had married Kristin. Prior to this discovery, Jeff met an untimely death due to his involvement in drug dealing. In 1983, Christopher's parents separated and divorced and Christopher lived with his adopted mother, Pam, while visiting adopted father, Bobby, on the weekends. In 1986, Christopher's family was reunited when his parents remarried, but their happiness was short-lived. The next year, Jenna Wade, Bobby's former fiancee, gave birth to Bobby's son, Lucas, and Christopher learned that he was adopted and not the biological son of Bobby and Pam. Shortly thereafter, Pam was involved in a horrible disfiguring car accident, which required her to be hospitalized, bandaged and require numerous plastic surgeries. Not wanting to be a burden to her husband and son, Pam left Dallas to seek treatment elsewhere, divorcing Bobby in the process and severing ties with her family. Shortly thereafter, Christopher's adoption by Bobby was challenged in court by Christopher's biological paternal aunt, Lisa Alden, sister of Jeff Farraday, who had learned that Bobby had initially and illegally bought Christopher. After a painful court battle, the court sided with Bobby and Christopher remained in the custody of his father. in 1990, Bobby wed April Stevens and Christopher looked forward to having a new step-mother. However, a happy family life was not to be as April was murdered on her honeymoon to Bobby. Bobby then raised Christopher as a single father until Christopher reached adulthood.

Ah well, that shoots down my theory LOL!! But you know how every blood/DNA test on soaps is rigged - bet it comes out sooner or later that Christpoher IS JR's son, and therefore John Ross's half brother, and oh how I will love to see his face!

And there is also always the possibility that Jock had an affair and that Christopher is Jock's grandson by that affair. You just never know.

Thank you! And a better source than Wiki as some Dallas fans probably would have corrected any mis-info on the IMDb over Wiki. :thumbsup2

Did they have DNA testing back in the '80s? :scratchin

First DNA test was in 1984. But those things are ALWAYS tampered with. And it is not hard to believe that someone as conniving as JR Ewing would have tampered with the DNA test of an illegitimate son.... or with the DNA test of someone who is the grandson of JR's father. Especially if the parent of said grandson was from an affair.popcorn::

Bingo!

I'm placing my bet that Christopher is SOMEHOW Ewing blood.

Thinking back to the original series.... didn't Ray end up being a Ewing at some point? Then Lucy and Ray would be uncle/niece?

And as far as Desperate Housewives... Good ol' JR was on it too Lynnette's moms sugar daddy in the nursing home. So 4 would have been on that show.

Yep!

Raymond "Ray" Krebbs, was a character in the popular American television series Dallas, played by Steve Kanaly (1978-1988, 2012). Ray Krebbs is the illegitimate son of Texas oil baron Jock Ewing and U.S. Army nurse Margaret Hunter.

Bingo!

I'm placing my bet that Christopher is SOMEHOW Ewing blood.

And Bobby is sick and may need blood transfusions or some kind of blood/organ donor match, in which Christopher decides to see if he is a match. . .

But that means there's another Ewing heir out there, Lucas. Hmmmmm... I wonder if the writers know this.
