Cvs weekly 5/31-6/5

The only reason I am even going in to CVS this week is I have a $1 ECB that I need to use that I forgot to roll last week. I will probably stock up on the Chicken Noodle Soup. Nothing else interesting this week:confused3

PatsMom--That does help the Zantac price a lot, but the generic version is still less at Walmart and Target, and you don't have to fool with the mail-in. My DH takes this as a maintenance drug, so I've priced it everywhere. If you need to roll ECBs, though, this is not a bad one.

Wow, this may be the first week in a long time that I don't go to CVS at all, I am just not seeing alot. I may try to work the hawaiian tropic....

Milk is $1.99 with $1 ECB, so 99! That's a great deal here!

I might try and work a deal for the Softsoap Ensembles. I would like to get one more pump and one refill.

I am on my last tube of lipstick, so I might look into doing the L'oreal lip deal at BOGOF.

So I somehow managed to end up with 19.99 worth of ECBs that expire on various days this week.

I had worked out a plan that would let me roll all of them today, but it didn't work out.

First I had wanted to do the SoftSoap bodywash because I had a CRT for $2 off 2 bodywashes, but even though other sites said there was a $1 coupon in today's paper I didn't have one. So I decided to do the Hawaiian tropic buy 2 get $10, but when I got to the store I realized they only sell tanning stuff with at most SPF 8. Ummm I am the palest person ever, no way would I use that stuff so since it was not a MM I decided to skip it.

So here is what I ended up doing, I'm not really sure how I got the total I did :confused3

iTunes gift cards $25 x 2 = $50
ACT mouthwash $4.29
Bounty Basic 8pck $5.88
Hallmark card $.99

- $1 ACT
- $.25 bounty
- $10 ECB

Received

$10 ECB iTunes
$1 ECB ACT

spent:

subtotal $49.91
FL 6.5% tax $.08
total $49.99

I thought that ECBs couldn't be used on gift cards so how did I spend 1 cent less than the price of the cards? And what was taxed? I'm baffled.

ETA: I figured out that my total outside of the gift cards was $11.16 minus $10 ECB equals $1.16 and tax on that would be $.08 $1.16 minus $1.25 is -$.09. So I guess I answered my own question, the coupons subtracted from the price of the gift cards.

It ended up being a decent trip. Everything I got I needed, well as much as one can NEED an iTunes gift card lol, spent 1 cent less than the value of the gift cards and got back one more dollar in ECBs than I spent.

And now I still have 9.99 in ECBs to spend before Thursday. Any suggestions?

I know Hawaiian Tropic has at least SPF 15 products. They are in a white bottle instead of brown. Are those not included in the ECB deal? I was planning to do it tomorrow as part of my continuing quest to stock up on cheap sunscreen. I wear SPF 30 and higher, but my DH and one of my sons prefers lower. I'm not going below 15, though.

I was hoping the Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen would be part of the deal and not just the tanning stuff, since I'm only interested in SPF 30+. I guess I need to figure out another deal now.

This was all I could come up with to use my expiring ECBs..

$8.79 Hawaiian Tropic Protective Lotion 35% bonus (SPF 8, highest available besides the dry oil spray which was 12)
-2.00 mfg. IP
$8.79 Hawaiian Tropic Protective Lotion 35% bonus
-2.00 mfg. IP
$13.58 (earned $10)

I guess losing $3-something in ECBs isn't so bad, at least it's waterproof lotion

Rosie at our CVS today they had a big table of Depends marked 75% off. Hope you can find some at your store.

Bummer about the Hawaiian Tropic not including the decent SPF sunscreens. We don't have a milk ECB offer of any kind either. I think I may be taking a week off from CVS.

Thanks for posting flakypuff!

I went to a total of seven stores last week looking for the Neutrogena with no luck. I just kept stopping whenever I passed one and had some extra time. I'm not sure what I'll do this week, if anything. Please keep posting what you're doing!
