Cvs weekly 5/31-6/5

Rite Aid has lousy deals this week too! Just toothpaste and a VHS cassette for free (who uses VHS anymore ) and Raid ant spray came out to .99.
Since the deals were so lousy I spent all day yesterday working in my flower beds and getting my flowers planted:yay: I guess I will spend the week organizing my coupons and reorganizing my stash. It is pretty depleted since my yardsales last month but now I now the best way to pack things away so I want to put that to practice with the items I have accumulated since then!

Hey Puffkin, would you mind sharing how you store/pack away all your stash? I've been giving alot to a nearby food drive but still have way too much. Would love some tips to organize it!:goodvibes

PatsMom--That does help the Zantac price a lot, but the generic version is still less at Walmart and Target, and you don't have to fool with the mail-in. My DH takes this as a maintenance drug, so I've priced it everywhere. If you need to roll ECBs, though, this is not a bad one.

When I sorted out my coupons before going to the store, I also found a CVS coupon that was on my CRT last week for $1.50 off Zantac so that helped too.

I buy all generics for me but DH insists on some brand names. Its easier not to argue with him about something like that. He's not on maintenance drugs so this size Zantac will last him about a year!

At least there was no free toothpaste this week! I just cleaned out and donated a bunch to a local food pantry. But I still have about ten tubes on hand!

Well, my system only works if you have a lot of space :rotfl:I keep my stuff in my large, unfinished basement so I don't have to worry too much about space.

Basically DH brings the empty copy paper boxes home from work. I find these to be a good size. Then I lay them out in a row on the floor and fill them by category. My "categories" are:

Toothpaste/toothbrushes
Mouthwash
Shampoo/Conditioner/Stylers
Facial washes/lotions
Razors/shave gel
Deoderant
OTC medicine (usually one box for pain relievers, one for cold/allergy)
First Aid
Meters
Make Up
Cleaning Supplies/Glade

Those are roughly my standard boxes. I usually have a few misc. ones too. As I fill a box, I label it and then stack it in the corner. When it is time to donate/yard sale I have everything sorted and organized. We also keep two boxes for our personal stash. This is where we throw the stuff that we definitely don't want to give away/sell. Friends and family can "shop" out of any of the boxes except our personal stash. I also don't give away laundry detergent, tissues, or toilet paper but other than that they can take anything they want.

Thanks, Puffkin! Sounds great! I'll give it a try.

Anyone try the JUNE MONTHLIES yet? Anything good?

I think i have this crt as well...thanx i'm gonna check and then print out the IP's

I can't do this CVS w/out you Lanajae - especially when my brain is not "on" lol and it has not been for a few months..thanx

You're way better at this than I am!

MY CRT says Save 2.00 on any Ensembles Base Pump - think i can use this for the refill?

lisa

Mine did too, it scanned. All the "pump" coupons work on the refills. The language is pretty vague so no one has ever questioned it.

Is anyone else getting the message on the IP's "Sorry but you cannot access the offers at this time"? I don't recall ever printing them in the past if that's what it's all about. :confused3

I didn't have any trouble yesterday, sometimes there is a total print limit for certain coupons so after 500K (or whatever) are registered and printed, they don't allow any more. On smartsource and coupons.com, they will say "sorry you've already printed" even when you haven't.

After last weeks great deals I expected something pretty lame this week. But this is much worse than I thought!

Bright and early Sunday morning I got to CVS to look for Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen. I was the only one in the store. When I walked in the asst manager waved and I waved back. I scanned my card but no coupons were available - bummer! I looked for sunscreen but only found oil. Looked for the clearance paper towels someone mentioned, but only found CVS towels. Checked out diaper prices because its a habit but found nothing.

So after 5 minutes I left. As I am getting in the car I notice the manager has followed me outside watching me and writing something down. I could be crazy but it looked like he was writing down my license plate number :confused3 Maybe I have a guilty conscience because I almost never pay anything out of pocket?

I made a point of telling the manager at my store this week that the deals were lousy and they wouldn't see me the rest of the week (I only stopped in for the soup since I had an ECB expiring). THey looked a bit shocked.

I would have asked the manager if there was a problem. I bet he was going back in to review the tapes. That would make me so angry, especially if you are a frequent customer!

You just have to ignore it, some stores will do that to anyone who comes in and doesn't purchase anything. Other stores worry that they are getting mystery shopped by competition.

If ever questioned, you can say "why would I steal anything from CVS since you pay me to buy things!" lol

I pretty much use the same system except shelves in a huge walk in closet. Remember to rotate stock too.

I would have stopped and asked him if I needed to let him get up closer to make sure he had it right.:rotfl2:

There you go the perfect answer!

If you have ECB's expiring this week the Accu-Chek monitor is a good way to roll some of them. The monitor is $14.99, gives back a $10 ECB, and there is a rebate in the box for purchase price. I have never been turned down for a rebate from them like Bayer. So really you are making money!

There are some coupons for .25 or .30 off 3 Campbells "cooking" soups. I used those today to get the chicken noodle soups and no BEEPS.

Oh yeah we ran into an old friend today that lost their job after 15 years with the company. When I told them they were welcome to come shop out of my closet they were very excited. I think I will give to people I know that have lost jobs or taken a big cut in pay for a while instead of donating.

It felt so weird being in the store for less then 10 minutes. Grabed my milk, papers and left. So sad.

Be careful about the rebates. What might have been in the past, isn't likely anymore :(

I purchased two monitors, different brands, and NEITHER would give me the rebate. Both *form* letters mentioned the *in-store* rebate I got (ECBs) and also had my receipt photocopied as part of the letter.

Regardless, my nephew can use them but after hearing about y'all getting the rebates, I was disappointed.

I did the softsoap ensamble refill deal...and i also did the glade spray .99c and i had a b1g1 and got a 1.00crt when i scanned my card!

i'm gonna go back tomorrow and do the softsoap ensamble deal on my husbands card and the glade!

Were these Bayer Contour and Bayer Assencia? If so Bayer will only send 1 rebate per household. I have gotten those form letters too.

DH is diabetic and will only use Accu-Chek compact plus monitors. I have gotten my rebate from them each time and if I call to get help with one of the monitors they just ask which one I am using now. All of them are registered in is name with our phone number.

Should work unless they have changed in the past 3 months since I got 3 rebates for the monitors I got free at Rite Aid a few months back.

I have only been in TN since April 3 and have gotten all 3 rebates since coming home.
