So I somehow managed to end up with 19.99 worth of ECBs that expire on various days this week.
I had worked out a plan that would let me roll all of them today, but it didn't work out.
First I had wanted to do the SoftSoap bodywash because I had a CRT for $2 off 2 bodywashes, but even though other sites said there was a $1 coupon in today's paper I didn't have one. So I decided to do the Hawaiian tropic buy 2 get $10, but when I got to the store I realized they only sell tanning stuff with at most SPF 8. Ummm I am the palest person ever, no way would I use that stuff so since it was not a MM I decided to skip it.
So here is what I ended up doing, I'm not really sure how I got the total I did
iTunes gift cards $25 x 2 = $50
ACT mouthwash $4.29
Bounty Basic 8pck $5.88
Hallmark card $.99
- $1 ACT
- $.25 bounty
- $10 ECB
Received
$10 ECB iTunes
$1 ECB ACT
spent:
subtotal $49.91
FL 6.5% tax $.08
total $49.99
I thought that ECBs couldn't be used on gift cards so how did I spend 1 cent less than the price of the cards? And what was taxed? I'm baffled.
ETA: I figured out that my total outside of the gift cards was $11.16 minus $10 ECB equals $1.16 and tax on that would be $.08 $1.16 minus $1.25 is -$.09. So I guess I answered my own question, the coupons subtracted from the price of the gift cards.
It ended up being a decent trip. Everything I got I needed, well as much as one can NEED an iTunes gift card lol, spent 1 cent less than the value of the gift cards and got back one more dollar in ECBs than I spent.
And now I still have 9.99 in ECBs to spend before Thursday. Any suggestions?
