I believe it is Limit 2 (6 cards).
It is definitely Limit 2(6 cards) on the Hallmark cards. I just got back from the store. I was really hoping they would raise the limit. Bummer.

Could one of you please explain how the Extra Bucks work? Thanks!!:goodvibes

I found something I wrote on a thread back in December, this might look kind of scattered because I am pulling out the parts I wrote about that week's sale:

They are store credits, considered just like cash. You can spend them on anything in the store, excluding (this is the official list): alcohol, tobacco, lottery, gift cards, money orders, postage stamps, pre-paid cards, prescriptions, and special order Home Health Care items, including footwear.

They print on your receipt when you buy the item(s) that earn them and you can spend them immediately in the next transaction.

They expire 1 month after you earn them. You can save them up or spend them as you wish. Come join us at the weekly CVS thread here - everyone posts good ideas on what to buy each week, most of us buy all the items that are free after ECBs or free after ECBs and coupons. I started by copying what others bought.

It takes about $20 to get started "doing" CVS.

Each week, we look for the best deals and buy those items, paying with the ECBs we earned from previous purchases (and usually $1-2 out of pocket for tax, etc.). Some weeks are way better than others. If you start doing this, you can go there once a week, and within a few months, you'll have a closet filled with free toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, shampoo/conditioner, OTC meds, deodorant, etc. A few months later you'll have to start giving extra stuff to friends/family and a few months after that, you'll have to donate to shelters, etc. I'm serious!

Took my daughter to Mayo Clinic in rain and fog, but thankfully no freezing rain/ice. Stopped at a CVS on the way home to look for Mylanta Ultimate Cherry (none), then maxed out the Hallmark 99 cent cards at 6.

Also got these items for 90% off!:

Advil Gel Caps 200 ct. $1.44
Alavert 60 ct. (bonus pack) $2.69 (got 2 pkgs. for my mom)
Pantene shampoo in the tube (some special kind, daughter wanted it) 62 cents
3-pack of sock 49 cents
These cool Vick's stick-on disposable thermometers, 6 pack, 52 cents (I don't know why I bought them, they're for babies lol)

Also got a Glade Sense and Spray for 99 cents after $4 mfg. and $2 ECB.

Got home to find out my trip report for the cruise had been deleted.

Thanks  I know why it was deleted, some people wrote some really bad replies and some others who follow certain posters around came in to take the opposite viewpoint, its the same sort of thing that happens here, but worse.

Because the economy is so bad, people weren't booking cruises at all, so some of the cruise companies began offering huge discounts to FL residential communities. We got on the ship and nearly all were one age group. I had no problem with that, but a good share (lots) started becoming verbally abusive to the crew and were pushing and shoving other passengers, not letting people on the elevators when only 2-4 were riding, and complaining about everything (this just touches the surface). Three other posters from that cruise also posted and said they experienced the same thing. It was really something else, and if anyone knew me, they'd know that I can go with the flow in just about any situation. Anyway, other people turned it into us discriminating against elderly, which was not the case - we kept insisting that mean and nasty was bad at any age.

Anyway, I did copy my posts to an email and I could send it to you in email if you PM me yours, it's way too long for a PM.

I haven't made it to CVS yet but I did hit a Walgreen's this evening.

This deal at CVS
$4 ECB WYB Gillette Fusion Gamer, Venus Embrace or Spa Breeze razor 1ct $7.99 - Limit 1
will earn you 1 cent. But if you do it at Walgreens (maker sure it says "Gamer") you'll earn $1.01 as there you'll get a $6 RRC (Register Rewards Coupon).

My other purchases there included
Quaker Oatmeal
Bounty Basic
Fructis Wonder Wave Conditioner.
Total $23.21
Minus Coupons/Sales $10.15
OOP $13.06
and Received $6 RRC
and Rebates coming of $4.49

I'll use the $6 RRC to pick up the Scrubbing Bubbles, batteries, trial size Thermacare, and the 4 oz contact solution. Which gives me another $7.50 in rebates. :thumbsup2

And the Cascade that both CVS and Walgreens has this week, coupons were in P&G this week, well it was actually cheaper at my Kroger, $3.73 for the 20 pack whereas I think both CVS & WLG were $3.99. The Kroger sale sticker on the shelf wasn't the regular weekly type sale tag. :confused3

Thanks SO much! It looks like I'll be spending some time on this thread and then off to check out CVS! I also excited because a Walgreen's is being built here too!!! Thanks again!:cool1:

I did the cotton rounds and greeting card deals yesterday, and also found 1 mylanta. Nothing special but I have misplaced DH's card, so just gave them the phone # at check out. I was excited to see a $25 RX gift card CRT - new or transferred! First one ever! yay

I got one of those last week!! I went and transferred my RX over the internet last night and I'm going to pick it up today! Woo! :yay:

Today will be my first day truly CVS’ing. I went last week, but I only bought 1 thing that earned ECB and I have $1 in ECB right now. I do have about $27 ECB in my seasonal pot right now though. Anyways, I went through the weekly and monthly ad and wrote down everything that I use. A lot of stuff I use is in the ad. So I’m going to stock up on it. I always wait until last minute to buy something when I run out, but I now I have extra money so I might as well start. I’m going to get the $25 gift card today for transferring my RX, so not that much will be coming OOP for me today. I’m going to go on my lunch break so I’ll post later today or tomorrow what I bought! I’m excited!!

The deal is better at CVS than Walgreens. Even though they are both $3.99, the size of the CVS ones are larger.

I did the American Greetings deal yesterday and it is limit 1. It says offer limit reached on my CRT.

Hope you love it as much as the rest of us. The main things I can think of to buy this week is a Fusion Gamer razor with the $4 coupon (will be free after coupon and earning ECB) and the 99 cent Hallmark (can buy 6) or American Greeting (can buy 3) cards (will be free after earning ECB). There are also some monthly deals to get: 1 81 mg. orange or cherry chewable CVS Brand aspirin ($1.99 and free after earning ECB); 2 EARinse ($7.99 and free after earning ECB); 5 Bodiheat pain patches if they have a green peelie coupon on them ($3.99, earn a $3 ECB, $1 coupon makes them free).

You will see some of us mentioning looking Ultimate Cherry Mylanta. There is a monthly deal of $3 ECB on any Mylanta, limit of 5. People are only looking for this type because it's on sale for 50% off, so using a coupon and buying it makes it a "money-maker" which means that you earn more ECBs than you spend. Most things are only free - sometimes we get coupons to use at CVS like $4 off a $20 purchase, whenever that happens, or a situation like the Mylanta, we call that a money-maker. The coupons get us ahead in ECBs.

I need someone to tell me what the cotton rounds deal is, I am out of the loop from our vacation.

Ugh, just had a frustrating visit at CVS. Got into an arguement with my favorite cashier about coupons.....it was very polite but I was really irritated. It was the old you can't use two manuf. coupons on a B1G1 Free sale (I bought the Colgate). Then they overcharged me on some Valentines stuff that was marked 25% off which I needed for DS. I didn't notice til I got in the car :sad2:

I did do the Gamer and Hallmark deals though. Couldn't find the cotton rounds or the Mylanta.

Have fun! Am looking forward to reading what you bought. What do you mean by having $27 seasonal ECBs?

The CVS brand cotton rounds 25 count UPC 050428086193 for .99.

Buy 2 and get a $2 ECB. It is a moneymaker if you have the RIB coupon for $1 off skincare.

I hate it when that happens! I would go back for the 25%. Corporate is still saying you can use 2 coupons on BOGO. I ran into a minor issue with a manager who wouldn't adjust a mfg. coupon down last weekend, he's always done it before. It was a clearance car air freshener that was 75 cents with a $1 peelie, I bought them anyway and that seemed to irritate him :rotfl: .

Thanks, am writing it down - I thought it was something to do with the bonus pack ones. I still haven't found the RIB magazines here this time, we've always had them in the past.

Got home to find out my trip report for the cruise had been deleted.

Glad to hear the weather sort of cooperated for you yesterday on your journey to Rochester. I kept all three of my appts. and glad I did because here in the Cities it didn't even rain much less get freezing rain. Those weather forecasters miss it as much as they get it right. I got called away from the computer before I had a chance to read your cruise report so it sounds like I won't get the chance now. Darn!

Did you find a CVS in Rochester or back up here? I made it to the Maryland/35E area store for the first time this morning on my way home from a meeting in downtown St. Paul. I bought the limit on 99 cent Hallmark cards and Ritz crackers with the man. coupon but that was all I could find.

Next part is :offtopic: Then I headed to the Maplewood store to pick up my prescription. I got one of those $25 CRT for a new or transferred prescription. Had I known the woman in the lane next to me couldn't wait for me to move out of her way, I probably would have skipped the second CVS stop. As I was slowing down to turn into parking lot off White Bear Ave., she hit the back end of my car as she "drifted" into my lane from her lane. She didn't damage her car except for a couple scrapes of my paint on her fender. My car has fender, bumper and tail light damage! Probably a couple thousand....ARGH!!! :headache: :headache: Obviously I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. :headache:  :sad2:

What's the RIB magazine?
