CVS ECB Deals ~ Sales for Week 2/8-2/14

Found the CVS cotton rounds in the travel section - thank you! Also found the Reinventing Beauty magazine so I bought 2 rounds, 1 magazine, tore out the CVS skincare coupon, and figured the coupon paid for the magazine (still got all the other coupons). Did this 3 times. Couldn't find cotton squares anywhere. The skincare coupon beeped, but they pushed it through each transaction. Receipt shows these under "CVS Nail Care."

Then... did another great deal - 24/7 lip plumpers are on clearance for $5. I had a $5 CRT for 24/7 products and found this link posted on another site: http://cvs.p.delivery.net/m/p/cvs/off/offerprocess.asp?mid=1749180191&cid=14322943872&p=TGI_247 I didn't receive it in email and it still scanned without a problem. Got 3 free 24/7 lip plumpers in one transaction with that coupon and the CRT.

EDIT: I just realized why my skincare coupons beeped - they are expired - the magazines I bought were from last quarter.

I went today and the $0.89 thank you Hallmark cards also work for the deal. They were not marked with a tag like the $0.99 ones are but found them in the thank you cards. So, I got 6 for the profit of $0.66. This was a small CVS I was in and could not find the travel section or 25 count cotton rounds.

I'm going back today to go get the CVS rounds. I bought the 50 or 60 count (I don't remember) yesterday. But I didn't max out the deal, so I'll go back and get more today. The 99 cent ones this time.

LanaJae, the beauty magazine that has the coupons for CVS skin care products, did you buy 3 magazines or did they just scan the coupon 3 times (can they do that?). Even though the one you got was from last quarter, if I find a current one. Right now they have $1 ECB back on some CVS skin care things (yesterday I got toner, makeup remover and face wash). I want to go back and get more.

I bought 3 magazines and did each transactions separate. You can only use one CVS coupon per item per transaction. If I had the current issue, the first one wouldn't beep, but all others would in the same transaction (some stores would push them through rather than ringing them all separate). There are also some regular mfg. coupons in those magazines and you can use multiples of those. The way you can tell is from the numbers under the bar code - if it starts with a "4," it's a CVS coupon and only one per transaction.

They need a coupon for each item, won't scan the same one more than once.

Thank you! That's what I thought. :)

Well, it looks like they have expanded the recall on Promax bars. And it includes some of the bars we were all buying in December. I have found 5 bars in my stash that are on the expanded recall list...

2-Cookies 'n Cream Non High Fructose Corn Syrup bars UPC 743659129202 best by date of 11/22/09
3-Double Fudge Brownie Non High Fructose Corn Syrup bars UPC 743659129301 best by date of 11/09/09

So make sure to check your stuff. I'm sure DH and I ate some of the bars that are now recalled. Fortunately we had no ill effects. I still have about 10 bars left but am now afraid to touch them. Even though they have different best by dates what's to say they won't come back next week and say they are now recalled. Cause that's what happened when they sent out their first list. I checked it, we seemed to be okay. I told DH he could eat the bars we had. Now, some of the bars we thought were safe have been recalled.

Ugh I have 2 boxes of the Double Fudge Brownie Promax bars with no HFCS.

DH loves these too. Wonder if they will just replace them with "safe" bars of the same type.

interestingly....I don't have any of the 75 gm or 70 calorie bars, but the bar codes are the same as mine. Mine are 20gm protein Double Fudge Brownie and Cookies & Cream. I have probably 20 bars left. My 18 year old liked them, but I pulled them after the last recall notice that listed Promax, even though they were not the exact ones. There is no way I'm going to let him eat these, as you said....these could very well be next!! I had asked one of the managers about it during the last notice and she said they would take them back for a refund. Not sure whether to take them back there or send in the codes as directed above. Sheesh...what next!

The 20 g protein bars are the 75 gm bars. 75gm indicates the weight of the bar. If you look on the front of the package in the lower left hand, you'll see Net Wt. 2.64 oz (75g).

I read over on afullcup that people are taking them back to CVS and being handed $1.99 cash or on a gift card per bar. Since I basically got these for free from CVS(with ecbs), I don't how I should handle this. Will CVS be reimbursed by Promax for these bars I wonder?

I would think that the manufacturer would be reimbursing the stores. I may take a few back to CVS here and see what the store tells me.

I would think so too. But, definitely let me know what your store says. I was going to wait and call my store tomorrow.

Thanks for the clarification! I was looking at the wrong #'s! I am going to take some of them back to my store tomorrow and see what they say. Sadly...I'd rather have a CVS gift card.......how sick is that??? LOL

I feel the same way.

Anyone know if you can return an unused greeting card without a receipt?

Yay, now I can get refunded for those icky Cookies and Cream bars :crazy2: (I thought Double Fudge were ok though)

Hi! My receipt is confusing me - at the bottom in the deals section it says CVS Cotton Purchased 2 Items needed 2 (get 2 ecb) and it also says CVS Nail Purchased 1 Items needed 1 (get 1 ecb). I know that I bought 2 cotton rounds, so I think that is the CVS cotton, but what could the CVS nail be? I haven't bought any nail polish, or remover, or anything like that. Or maybe it is the 25 ct. rounds???? Can someone who has bought the cotton check for me what it says? I want to stick to the limits. Thanks! I found SoyJoys surprisingly, but there are no Mylanta Cherry anywhere to be found:(

Didn't make it this week! Realy not much for me I do wish I had time to do the coke deal though!! Oh well next week is looking better for sales and time !!

That's interesting...my receipt says CVS Nail and I've only purchased the 120 ct. cotton balls so far. I guess it's two separate deals??

That's weird, I've got the 99 cent cotton rounds under the nail section and the bonus pack cotton rounds under it's own section.

I went today after work and I spent OOP .43. Here's what I got.

6 packs of 25 count CVS cotton rounds
2 boxes of 60 count Carefree pantyliners
3 AG Valentine's Day cards
1 issue of Reinventing Beauty magazine

I had 2 coupons for the Carefree pantyliners. $1 off.
And the AG coupon BOGO. The cashier messed up though and instead of giving me the CHEAPEST card free ($2.59), he gave me the most expensive card free ($3.99). I don't know how. I thought the register picks it up automatically, but I guess not. :confused3

I used $20 exactly in ECBs and I got $13 in ECBs back. So not bad. Does it sound like I did good? :confused3

I maxed out on the cotton rounds though. Yesterday I bought 3 50 count rounds and a bottle of nail polish remover (before I knew about the 99 cent 25 count ones).

Puffkin, this is completely off topic. But, do you know how the Giants in Berks county double their coupons? The ones I have been to in Lancaster double up to a maximum of $1. So, for example, if you have a .75 coupon it would only double to $1. But, I hear that other Giant stores(specifically Exton and Phila) will double up to .99. So, that same .75 coupon would be doubled to $1.50. Thanks for any help you can give me.
