CVS ECB Deals ~ Sales for Week 2/8-2/14

The CVS brand cotton rounds 25 count UPC 050428086193 for .99.

Buy 2 and get a $2 ECB. It is a moneymaker if you have the RIB coupon for $1 off skincare.

My store was out of the rounds but you can also get the .99 squares for the same deal.

Also found 3 of the mylanta for $3.50, used 3 of the $2 off manf. coupon, and got $9 ECB!

:thumbsup2

Glad to hear the weather sort of cooperated for you yesterday on your journey to Rochester. I kept all three of my appts. and glad I did because here in the Cities it didn't even rain much less get freezing rain. Those weather forecasters miss it as much as they get it right. I got called away from the computer before I had a chance to read your cruise report so it sounds like I won't get the chance now. Darn!

Did you find a CVS in Rochester or back up here? I made it to the Maryland/35E area store for the first time this morning on my way home from a meeting in downtown St. Paul. I bought the limit on 99 cent Hallmark cards and Ritz crackers with the man. coupon but that was all I could find.

Next part is :offtopic: Then I headed to the Maplewood store to pick up my prescription. I got one of those $25 CRT for a new or transferred prescription. Had I known the woman in the lane next to me couldn't wait for me to move out of her way, I probably would have skipped the second CVS stop. As I was slowing down to turn into parking lot off White Bear Ave., she hit the back end of my car as she "drifted" into my lane from her lane. She didn't damage her car except for a couple scrapes of my paint on her fender. My car has fender, bumper and tail light damage! Probably a couple thousand....ARGH!!! :headache: :headache: Obviously I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. :headache:  :sad2:

What's the RIB magazine?

Glad you got to your appts. too! All this rain has really changed things, I see patched of green grass in our backyard, our dog is loving it. The trip report is worth missing, it turned into a fight amongst some posters, also we had some deaths on ship. People argued that a few deaths on a 5 night cruise with 2000 people should be expected :confused3 and it escalated from there.

OMG I am so sorry to hear about your car, but thankfully you are okay. I can picture it, we almost got killed in what I'm sure is the same area (kid on a cell phone not paying attention to lanes). I won't go to that CVS unless I come up South Ave. from McKnight now. I hope she had insurance.

RIB is Reinventing Beauty magazine, it's 99 cents and should be up by the registers. It has CVS and mfg. coupons in a pull-out section. Stores were also getting lots of coupon inserts and were setting them on the table in the front, but I think too many people were taking all of them (I'm guilty, I used to take 5 whenever I saw them out).

That's great! My Mylanta coupons are burning a hole in my purse. Glad to know about the squares too, same count?

Ugh, just had a frustrating visit at CVS. Got into an arguement with my favorite cashier about coupons.....it was very polite but I was really irritated. It was the old you can't use two manuf. coupons on a B1G1 Free sale (I bought the Colgate). Then they overcharged me on some Valentines stuff that was marked 25% off which I needed for DS. I didn't notice til I got in the car :sad2:

I did do the Gamer and Hallmark deals though. Couldn't find the cotton rounds or the Mylanta.

I got into an argument with my favorite store yesterday too...I bought the Fusion on Saturday for last week's deal and went to get another one last night for this week's deal. Well the ECBs didn't print b/c apparently the one I bought last Saturday applied for this week instead. I tried to explain to the manager that I bought one last week and wanted to buy one this week, as was advertised in the ad. He insisted that because the deal was in both ads, it was a monthly deal and was limit one for the whole month. I knew that wasn't true from here and HCW, but its not like I could just say "no that's not right, I read it on the internet!" So I just gave up and returned the razor.

Now that I know about Walgreens' Fusion deal I'll have to make a trip there to use my last $4 Q. Most of the time they're out of stock of sale stuff, but my CVS's all had TONS of these razors so hopefully Walgreens will be well stocked too.

Sheesh, another thing to add to the list of "things that can go wrong when you shop on Saturday."

Walgreens is impossible for me on stuff like this, I can only get hidden deals. All their Easy Saver freebies were gone by the time I got back from vacation, I wasted two hours on Saturday trying to find things and finally gave up.

For the CVS cotton rounds (and squares too, I hear), they are in the travel sample size aisle, not the regular aisles for this type of thing.

I went to do the Madagascar deal today, as I've have not had time to get my coupons in order for those items....and 4 stores around me are sold out of it and will not give rain checks!!! UGH, I'm kicking myself for not getting my stuff together and doing it Sunday. Anybody else run into this problem?

I also noticed alot of mark down stuff around the stores (not on the clearance areas)...toothpaste, I got a $30 scale for $6 bucks, shoe cushion insoles for .75cents, Lamasilk and similiar foot therapies for 75% off. I did run in to an issue with Always pads that I thought were the Jan/Feb monthly deal since they have sat with all that stuff this whole time. I bought one, should have been 5.99 with a 2 ECB and I had a $1 off coupon. Well it rang at 6.99 with no ecb, so I went back into the store and asked to have it fixed. She scoured the box and discovered the ECB sticker dates on the front of it were 10/1/08 - 11/8/08 and said it was over. So I told her I wanted to return it. The manager was near her and asked me if I just wanted the eCB for it and I said yes, as well as the extra $1 for the price difference it should be, he said no problem! Boy the cashier was pissed, that it all worked out for me, I think she would have rather returned it then agree that I deserve the deal if its in their store. On my way out, I reminded her there is a whole shelf of them still with all the other ECB deals :)

Have fun! Am looking forward to reading what you bought. What do you mean by having $27 seasonal ECBs?

Thank you!!!

What are they called? The ones you accumulate with 2%? And you cash them out in April? Whatever those are I have $27 worth. :thumbsup2 :confused3

So I ended up spending quite a bit of money. :headache: But everything I bought I use so I'm stocked up for awhile. I ended up getting $30 back in ECBs! But I'm proud of myself because every single thing I bought I use. Woohoo!!

I transferred my RX last night through CVS.com and it didn't go through. :confused3 So the lady said she would call my previous pharmacy and do it for me. I'm going to call tomorrow to see if it's ready and go back tomorrow. I want my $25 gift card!

Oh and they were all out of the 60 count Carefree pantiliners. They had like the 40 count, but they were scented and the same price as the 60 count. But I didn't get those. I have 2 coupons for a $1 off and I'll use those. There is another CVS on the way home that I'll go see if they have them. If not I'll just get a raincheck.

So if my CVS carries AG and not Hallmark, the deal is still on for the $2.49 and up ones right? They didn't have any good 99 cent Valentine's Day cards.

Sounds like a fun trip! Don't worry about spending too much if you're getting stuff you need and would buy someplace else anyway.

I'm worried you might be disappointed with the 2% quarterly ECB. It's 2% of the amount on the receipt that says "quarterly spending" and it goes in increments of $25 (not all items count). You get 50 cents for every $25, so if it shows that you spent $101, you get $2 at the end of the quarter. Most states also give $1 for every 2 prescriptions filled. You have to reach each $25 increment or you lose 50 cents. I had one that was $48.98 and I only got 50 cents one quarter.

On the cards, you can get any cards that are 99 cents or more (don't have to be $2.49 even though that's what the ad says), can be birthday/thank you, etc. too. Just have to buy 3 to get the $3 ECB.

Okay, okay, I'm so confused. Can someone explain all this to a newbie? And how do you get ECBs?

I did the American Greetings deal yesterday and it is limit 1. It says offer limit reached on my CRT.

Maggie
You are right. It is limit 1(3 cards) for American Greetings. And limit 2(6 cards) for Hallmark.

For the CVS cotton rounds (and squares too, I hear), they are in the travel sample size aisle, not the regular aisles for this type of thing.
There were none in the travel/trial size section at my store. But they did have them on pegs throughout the store. I found some in the feminine hygiene aisle and the food aisle. So, keep an eye open. And this is a monthly deal. So, hopefully they will restock if need be.

Look back to post #64 on page 5. If it doesn't make sense, ask any questions you can think of.

You can see what items you earn ECBs on in each weekly ad, and there is also a monthly ad. Both should be available in the store when you walk in, near the red hand-baskets.

OHHHHH. Haha, no wonder I was wondering how that accumulated so fast!! Oh well! :headache: Thank you for explaining that though! I would have been confused come April 1st.

Yes! I'm going back when I get my RX to get the cards. I need Valentine's Day cards.

Sorry - it happened to all of us at first. Some people brag about how low their quarterly ECB is instead  . The amount only includes what you actually spend out of pocket so it becomes kind of a game to keep that amount very low.

Just saw that you were from Southern CA. Sometimes you might notice that your ad isn't the same as the one posted here, and sometimes you have better (or worse) deals and sometimes your limits on items are less. There are big CVS boards elsewhere online and they talk about this often.

That is probably true. I noticed there wasn't anything around the cards that said earn ECBs. All there was buy 5 cards and get 1 free. Or something to that effect.

I grabbed both the weekly and monthly ad on my way out, so I'll check those when I get home to see what's different. Thank you!!

I got one of those last week!! I went and transferred my RX over the internet last night and I'm going to pick it up today! Woo! :yay:

Today will be my first day truly CVS’ing. I went last week, but I only bought 1 thing that earned ECB and I have $1 in ECB right now. I do have about $27 ECB in my seasonal pot right now though. Anyways, I went through the weekly and monthly ad and wrote down everything that I use. A lot of stuff I use is in the ad. So I’m going to stock up on it. I always wait until last minute to buy something when I run out, but I now I have extra money so I might as well start. I’m going to get the $25 gift card today for transferring my RX, so not that much will be coming OOP for me today. I’m going to go on my lunch break so I’ll post later today or tomorrow what I bought! I’m excited!!
:rotfl2: :rolleyes1 what CVS do you shop at:lmao: :smokin:

What's the limit for the CVS rounds?

Maggie
