CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 2/3/08-2/9/08

If you are at the store during normal business hours and you have a problem that the manager won't fix, call 1800SHOPCVS right from the line. Discuss it with corporate and they will straighten out the store (provided you are correct of course). Although sometimes they say that its up to the manager.

For all of the new people, you are allowed to use ONE CVS coupon AND ONE manufacturer's coupon PER ITEM! And ECB are NOT supposed to ring up as CVS coupon, but that may be YMMV.

Maggie

Every time I have used an ECB it has printed on my register as a CVS coupon for that amount off - wonder if that is part of the problem. Do stores set up the registers or are they pre-programmed from corporate?

I got my triple ECB coupon today too. I was so excited. It also had a coupon for a free 5x7 and a 10/50 printable.

Ok, here is my CVS confession: DH came from the Dr. and I was a little happy when he had a prescription with him...It's nothing serious, but I immediately printed a $25 gift card coupon for him to take with him:) The funny part was that DH came home first for the coupon and didn't go to the pharmacy first, LOL. We have had a couple of prescriptions to fill in the last 2 months and those gift cards help with accruing ECBs.

News..

The district manager met with the store manager at my closest store and said that there is a "scam" with the $4 off $20 coupon and that's why they can only accept one printed "internet" coupon. I couldn't understand what kind of scam he was talking about and then the cashier said it's about the full sheet coupon that individuals get when they sign up for emails from CVS.com (didn't someone here have trouble with that this week?). Apparently because some people post it as a link, CVS Corp. is under the impression that it's being scanned and passed around and it is only supposed to belong to the person who signed up for emails (duh).

Also, I received a mailing from CVS this week with several coupons, and I was also told this is the "new" way of distributing coupons. I don't know if that's true, but if you don't have your home mailing address on file, do it as the coupons are decent ($4/20, $3/15, etc.).

Ours doesn't like those coupons, I haven't used one since mid year last year, when the one with the "changed" expiration date was out.

How do I find out if they have my address? I remember the cashier filled out my application when I was picking up two RXs a few months ago. She kept the application and then gave me my card.

I just threw away the one I printed, but it's linked directly from CVS, which is what makes is so strange that they think it's a scam. It's like the district managers can't figure out why people have these coupons! Well, spend 5 minutes and go online and find out that CVS posts them on their site with a public link instead of thinking that they are being mass printed somewhere else.

They also told me they are being sold on eBay, but I think that's got to be the prescription coupon. The manager went and whispered to the pharmacist and asst. something while I was there waiting for 2 prescriptions, I thought later he was wondering if I used a gift card coupon, but I never use them (after I had trouble once a few months ago) and we fill an average of 12 prescriptions a month, so we are definitely good customers - they know I can do 3 mos. mail order and only pay for 2 mos., but I choose to fill month-by-month there because I shop there.

I really wish I could just explain how all this works to the manager at this store so they'd quit being so suspicious of everyone now. The reason my amounts are so low is because I am rolling ECBs continually, not because of some magic lol

You can log into CVS.com and enter your card number (first you might have to register at CVS.com), after you do that, you can enter your email, address and phone number. It's nice to have your phone number too as they will call you and tell you if you have quarterly rewards over $5.

If the cashier filled out your app, your address maybe wasn't on it so you should do it online to make sure.

I too am excited about the triple rewards. I know it doesn't add up to that much more, but I still get excited!! LOL My friend and I are planning a second trip for tomorrow. We are fully addicted. We did a RiteAid trip today. We are addicted to pharmacies.

You just gave me a great idea:thumbsup2 my DD is off to her first year of College also...
She has about 6 good friends that are hanging out at my house all the time. I know I will be invited to graduation parties for all of them. It can get real $$$ but i could make up baskets for school as gifts:banana: Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, advil and more cvs stuff:dance3: I am soooo excited..that will be a good gift, cost way less than a $$ gift and I will have it done before graduation.....:dance3: :dance3: Thanks

My daughter is doing the Disney College Program and I started a box for her in the Spring of last year (she started in the Fall) and threw stuff in it from CVS and wherever - it really helped her out. I think next year she is going to go to UcF so I am going to keep up the box for then....anything (and everything) helps to make college cheaper.

A couple of questions for the CVS experts. I just realized the CVS sell gift cards to Lowes. We are doing a remodel and will be spending most of our money at Lowes. If I buy the gift cards at CVS does that count for the triple bonus?

One more question. Last week when CVS had all those coupons - $2/$10, $4/$20. If I went into CVS and purchased $5.00 of misc items and a $5.00 CVS giftcard can I use the $2 off $10.00 coupon?

So how many of you split your orders into several smaller ones? after reading the post about doing an order as separate transactions, I went to my list for tomorrow and looked at my oop as one big order, or doing it as several smaller transactions using the ecb's i will earn. and it really made a difference on my oop. this is only my second week at this. so i don't have a lot of ecb's to use yet, and i only have one 4 off $20 coup to use tomorrow.

i am wondering if the cashier will get super grumpy if i separate my order like that!

so how do you all do it?

Most tend to be okay as long as there isn't a super line. I usually will bring my stuff out to the car and go back for #2. If the store isn't busy - like when I go late (my stores are all 24 hours!) then they have no problems doing separate transactions right after each other. The reason above is 1 reason I tend to do smaller transactions. I don't like to super stack - I think that it will put a stop to all the coupons available - but applaud those that are able to and do it - so for me using 2 4/20's and a 2/10 is equivalent to a 10/50 if you are doing individual transactions and may enable me to lower my oop.

I have no idea about the gift cards, although I am assuming that it would not count. I don't have a coupon to read but I know you can't use them for several items.

Great idea about the gifts for the girls! The best gifts I got for my 18th birthday were useful ones, towels, etc.

I do sometimes split my order, to use a few of the ECB I'll be getting back and also because I don't want all my deodorants or all the children's aspirin usually rang together, makes the ECB too big. That is the usual reason for splitting. I don't usually use two coupons though, my stores don't like them at all!
